Will of chaos

Chapter 1897 1897: Cap 1893: Infernal Titans

What emanated from these three gates was truly monstrous, even when it began to mix, making the sensation much worse.

“Finally, the gates open…” (Davoth)

My eyes were glued when the first creature emerged. It was the Wild Summoning Gate. The branches opened, revealing shadows with many pairs of eyes hidden within. From these shadows, a creature emerged. It was a human-sized Chimera. It had three wolf heads, each surrounded by a red mane that appeared to be soaked in blood and had a single horn on its head. The second had a half-transparent white mane that looked like a ghost, also with only one horn on its head. The third head was the middle one, with a pair of large horns on its head and a single demonic eye between the horns.

Its arms, like the rest of its body, were thickly muscled, with large blades of bone protruding from the outer arms. Its legs were curved like the paws of a beast. Behind its back were a pair of skeletal wings, the bones covered in fresh blood, forming the wings. Its three tails were thin and very long, with sharp blades at the ends.

But what caught my eye was the triangular crystal on its chest, rising from its body like a small pyramid.

The entire creature emanated a horrifying, savage presence. As soon as it appeared, the surrounding environment began to change, with continents full of demonic forests floating in space.

RRROOOAAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!

He roared as soon as he appeared. He was the quickest to appear, and his roar impacted everyone because he carried the power of the Concept, an Infernal Concept. That was when I finally realized the truth: Callidora was an Entity and, as such, also possessed a Concept, most likely Hell. A Concept that existed in my old world, existed in the world where I was reborn, and also seems to exist everywhere.

Without giving me time to think, it was as if that roar made the very gate behind him vibrate. A seemingly endless number of creatures emerged from the gates. They were demonic beasts, all visibly strong, racing through space in all directions, thousands of them at once. The first creature to appear then looked in Callidora’s direction. He stopped beside her with his arms crossed, as if waiting for something.

“Is he an Avatar of Callidora?” (me)

“No, Callidora doesn’t have an Avatar. There was nothing that could contain her Concept… until now…” (Davoth)

“Niryna… that’s why she…” (me)

“That’s a Beast of Origin. She was born of Callidora in a way and carries an offshoot of her Concept.” (Ronan)

“It seems to be Savagery or Cruelty…” (Ronan)

“The other monsters carry Infernal power, but they don’t possess the Concept. Even though they’re strong, they’re useless here.” (me)

“Another one is coming.” (Sarazar)

I ignored the beasts that were scattering. This was because they weren’t coming toward us; they were heading for the forest continents that had formed nearby. All the other groups also ignored them, seeing their lack of strength.

Everyone was worried about the first creature and the other two gates. The danger of a creature with the power of the Concept and two unknown gates was greater than a few Beasts. Their number was almost useless, as they could be slaughtered by the millions with just one attack from anyone here.

Soon, another gate released an engraving that seemed to struggle to escape. A body larger than any planet. It didn’t simply pass through the gate; its large hand gripped the gate from the inside, tearing open the space it was in front of it to pass through. A gigantic body emerged. It was as if we were specks of dust compared to that monstrosity. Its body was surrounded by incredibly large chains; it was as if it had been trapped and had forcibly freed itself by passing through the portal.

This creature’s body was too large to even find amusing. Its body was somewhat curved, yet still humanoid. There seemed to be no neck separating its large, deformed head from the rest of its body. Its face was covered in wrinkles and scars, with only one usable eye, and its mouth contained several flat teeth designed for crushing. Its body was thick, and its wrinkled skin was thick. Its clothes were pieces of metal plates nailed to its body. Its hands held two giant hammers emanating a horrible miasma. It seemed to be some sort of creature taking the form of a man. Its entire presence exuded malice, and it breathed miasma.

As soon as it fully appeared, the portal it tore closed completely, destroying one of the three portals. Clouds of miasma then surged throughout the space as if resonating with it. The Beasts that were here before suddenly had their bodies invaded by miasma, growing two or three times their size, their strength increasing more than tenfold.

Just when I thought the creature would remain still, it suddenly began to attack. Even when not even the strengthened Beasts had attacked yet, this Colossus suddenly launched itself toward the first group it sawโ€”the war party, to be precise.

The strengthened beasts seemed much stronger now, and they seemed to want to charge forward, attacking everyone as well. But that first Chimera that appeared raised a hand, and all the Beasts calmed down. It seems it’s controlling the demonic beasts.

“Callidora is going too far with her games. That’s a Titan of the Taint, and a mutant at that.” (Davoth)

“My mistress wants that thing dead. She also wants me to take this body…” (Sarazar)

“Concentrate, there’s still a portal.” (Lolth)

“Yes, I’m more concerned with the last one. Haven’t you noticed how this place adapts to each new creature? How the giant’s power strengthened the Demonic Beasts?” (Me)

“Are they combining powers, Master…?” (Hades)

“Yes…” (me)

“Why not attack now?” (Hades)

“Because the unexpected can kill anyone. It’s clear Callidora is going all out here, no one wants to be careless.” (Ronan)

“Exactly.” (Davoth)

It seems Ronan and Davoth share the same kind of caution against Callidora, the same caution everyone else shares. I must be alert.

“I think the last creature has always been watching us, it seems like it was waiting.” (me)

“…” (Ronan)

Everyone was looking at the last Summoning gate. The War group’s fight against that Titan wasn’t important to anyone but them.

With everyone focused on the same objective, I felt a gaze fixed on me after I spoke, which shows I was heard even from this distance; that was a high level of perception.

What emerged from the last gate was a giant staring directly at me. He was smaller than, much smaller than, the creature fighting Ayden just now, but still dozens of kilometers tall. The gate leaped, growing in size as it passed. This was a Demon just like I’d heard stories about in my old world.

Thick goat legs, two large, muscular arms, three pairs of large, webbed wings on his back, thick red skin with black fur running across his shoulders, parts of his arms, legs, and neck. His chest, parts of his arms, and face were still red, as was his shaggy, shoulder-length hair.

Its face was fierce, with a pair of golden irises surrounded by the total darkness of the rest of its eyes. Its horns were divided into a pair of large ox-like horns on the sides of its head and a pair of smaller horns on its forehead. Its teeth were sharp, with a nest of canines protruding from their enormous size. Its body was covered in scars, stains of dried blood, and ghosts trying to escape from within its aura, as if it were some kind of horrible prison.

Even from a distance, this creature emitted a horrific presence similar to what I sensed from Hell when I first visited. As soon as it appeared, the Demonic Aura of this place multiplied hundreds of times. All the scattered Beasts suddenly emanated a massive killing intent, their auras strengthening even more than before. Its current power was no longer as defying as before.

“A Titan of Purgatory, this is insanity, she’s going too far!” (Davoth)

The Titan in the distance smiles before extending his hands, his Aura concentrated in his hands, forming two broadswords that appear to be made of bones covered in fresh blood, a construct of Aura, Demonic energy, and Concept.

That’s right, but a creature that emanated the power of the Infernal Concept, a creature whose very appearance represents what was described as a Demon in many ancient cultures of my old and new world.

But he didn’t attack immediately. He looked around as if assessing the environment. His Aura surged around him like flames of hell containing countless Souls in agony within. His eyes were pure cruelty, yet possessed an extremely dangerous glint of wisdom.

“This is going to be difficult…” (Ronan)

“Are we going to have to fight these things while still keeping an eye out for our enemies?” (me)

“Yes, that’s why I said it would be difficult…” (Ronan)

“Don’t try to hold back your power or you will die.” (Davoth)

“…” (me)
