Chapter 813 Announcing My Status
Villain Ch 813. Announcing My Status
“Speaking of projects,” Jordan said, his tone shifting to something more serious, “Allen.” He turned to face Allen, his expression earnest.
“Yes?” Allen replied, a bit apprehensive.
“The document is complete. We will announce your status soon. The conference will also double up as a party. I hope you can determine a suitable place for the event,” Jordan said, his words coming out in a rush of excitement and seriousness.
Allen blinked, processing the information. The weight of Jordan’s words sank in slowly. His status would be announced soon. It was a big deal, a huge step forward, and it meant the world to him. But the thought of organizing the event on top of everything else felt overwhelming.
“That’s… wow, that’s amazing,” Allen finally said, trying to match Jordan’s enthusiasm. “I didn’t expect it to be so soon.”
“Ah, that’s why you look happy today,” Emma said in a teasing tone, glancing at Jordan with a smirk.
Jordan chuckled, leaning back in his chair. “Well, it’s a big day for Allen.”
Allen felt a surge of panic rising in his chest. He hadn’t expected this level of responsibility so soon. A frown creased his forehead. “But I’ve never planned an event like this before. Do you have some kind of tutorial for it?” he asked, his voice tinged with worry. He was surprised that Jordan had given him this task, considering his complete lack of experience.
The thought of messing it up made him nervous.
“You mean a list?” Emma interjected, raising one eyebrow skeptically.
“Yes, a list,” Allen echoed, realizing he had used the wrong term. “I need some kind of guide or checklist to make sure I don’t miss anything important.”
Jordan’s expression softened. “Don’t worry, Allen. We have event planners who will handle most of the logistics. Your job is to oversee the vision and make sure it reflects you. Think about what you want people to feel and remember about this day.”
Allen nodded slowly, feeling slightly more at ease but still overwhelmed. “Okay, I can do that. I just need to know where to start.”
Azura leaned forward, her eyes bright with excitement. “Start with the theme. What kind of atmosphere do you want? Formal, casual, or something in between? Once you have a theme, everything else will fall into place.”
Emma nodded in agreement. “And think about the venue. It should be somewhere that feels special to you, somewhere that represents who you are.”
Allen took a deep breath, his mind racing with possibilities. “I guess I’ll need to make a list of potential venues and themes, then narrow it down from there.”
A soft smile appeared on Jordan’s face. “Kai and Alex also will help you. I’ve discussed it with them, including the number of guests and events,” Jordan said, his smile growing fainter but more reassuring. He wanted to know how far Allen was capable of going, believing this was a good opportunity to test him. Apart from that, he wanted Allen to quickly adapt to his current life.
“You determine the budget yourself. Money is not a problem for me,” Jordan added in a relaxed tone.
Allen was silent for a moment, deep in thought. He put food into his mouth, but somehow his tongue couldn’t taste the food as his mind was busy. The weight of the responsibility settled heavily on his shoulders, making the simple act of eating feel like a chore. He glanced around the table, noticing the encouraging yet expectant looks on everyone’s faces.
“At least give me a benchmark for it,” Allen finally spoke up, his voice steady despite the nervous flutter in his stomach. He knew that if the event was too simple, it would hurt Jordan’s reputation. On the other hand, if it was too extravagant but didn’t fit the occasion, it would seem tacky, and Allen didn’t want that.
Jordan leaned back in his chair, considering Allen’s request. “A benchmark, huh?” He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “Well, think of it this way. This event is not just a party; it’s a statement. It’s your introduction to our world and to our associates. So, it needs to be elegant, memorable, and reflective of who you are.”
Allen nodded, appreciating the clarity. “So, something that strikes a balance between sophisticated and personal. Got it.”
Azura chimed in, her eyes twinkling with excitement. “You could have a theme that incorporates elements. Like, a mix of the old and the new. Show them where you came from and where you’re going.”
Emma, who had been quiet for a while, added, “And don’t forget to add some unique touches. Something that people will remember long after the night is over. Maybe a special performance or a signature dish.”
Allen smiled, feeling slightly less overwhelmed. “That’s actually a great idea. I think I can work with that.”
Jordan’s smile widened, proud of Allen’s ability to grasp the essence of the task. “Excellent. And remember, you have Kai and Alex to assist you. They’re experienced and will ensure everything runs smoothly.”
Allen took a deep breath, feeling a bit more confident. “Alright. I’ll start brainstorming tonight. I want this to be perfect.”
Jordan nodded, satisfied. “I know you’ll do great, Allen. Just be yourself and everything will fall into place.” Your journey continues with My Virtual Library Empire
The conversation shifted to lighter topics. The support from his family was palpable, and it made the daunting task ahead seem more manageable. He continued eating, this time able to taste the flavors of the meal, and found himself actually enjoying the food.
Still… as the dinner progressed, Allen’s mind buzzed with ideas. He pictured the event in his head: the decor, the music, the ambiance. He knew it would be a challenge, but he also knew he had the resources and the support to pull it off.
After dinner, as they all moved to the living room for tea and dessert, Azura pulled Allen aside. “Um… if you need any help brainstorming or just want to bounce ideas off someone, I’m here,” she said with a warm smile. Maybe it was only a lame excuse so she could spend her time with Allen a bit longer.
Allen appreciated the gesture. “Thanks, Azura. I might take you up on that.”
She nodded, looking genuinely pleased. “Anytime.”
