Gheppetto’s options were limited now that he was without his puppets or the tombstones to manipulate. His skill lay mostly in deflecting his surroundings to create distance from his opponents, as well as in controlling objects or puppets around him. With a fierce determination in his eyes, Gheppetto began to pound on the barrier that surrounded him, his fists striking the shimmering surface with all his might in a desperate attempt to break free. But the barrier held strong, its energy pulsing with a vibrant light as it resisted Gheppetto’s onslaught.

Allen and his companions watched with grim satisfaction as Gheppetto’s efforts proved fruitless.

“We’ve got him now,” Allen said, his voice filled with a sense of triumph. “Without his puppets or his tombstones, he’s powerless.”
