Capítulo 1954: Sorry

Villain Ch 1954. Sorry

“I start to feel sorry for her,” Vivian said out of the blue.

The car rolled along the highway, sleek tires humming against asphalt. City lights blurred past the windows like soft, melting stars. Inside the black SUV, it was warm, quiet. Except for Vivian’s voice. And Allen’s silence.

She sat in the middle row with Larissa and Bella, her legs tucked up slightly as she leaned against the door. Vivian’s tone wasn’t mocking or dramatic. Just… tired. The kind of tired that settled into your voice after a long trip. Or after watching someone collapse in the street screaming your lover’s name.

Allen didn’t respond right away.

He sat in the front passenger seat, arms crossed, eyes hidden behind his sunglasses. His jaw was tight. One hand gripped a bottle of soda he hadn’t even opened earlier. Now he uncapped it slowly. Drank. Swallowed without a blink.

“No,” he said flatly. “Don’t. She chose that. I’m not cleaning up her mess.”

Larissa turned to look at him from the back. Her ponytail swayed lightly. “Allen—”

“All actions have consequences,” he cut in. His voice wasn’t angry. Just… done. Like the kind of done you couldn’t fix with a hug or a kiss or a clever apology video.

Then he fell silent again, letting the fizz of the soda do the talking. But it wasn’t loud enough to drown out the weight of the air between them.

Bella sighed and leaned back into her seat, arms folded beneath her chest. “Well… she did play with fire.”

Alice, who’d been uncharacteristically quiet, nodded slowly. “Yeah. And she got burned. But…”

“But she still ran,” Larissa murmured. “She chased after us. Not at the airport, but after. On the road. That… that didn’t feel like acting.”

Vivian glanced down at her lap. Her nails traced the hem of her jacket. “No. That was desperation. Real desperation.”

The SUV turned onto a smaller street, dimmer now, where the traffic lights flickered gently over a calm city corner. The driver said nothing. He’d driven this team enough to know when to shut up.

“She cracked,” Bella added. “Whatever mask she was wearing, it’s gone now.”

“Darren and Liam’s videos might’ve been the last push,” Larissa said softly. “The final nail.”

Vivian let out a breath. “Yeah… those two flipped the entire narrative. She’s getting roasted online.”

“She deserves it,” Allen said.

The girls glanced at him. No one disagreed. Not out loud.

“But,” Alice said carefully, “I don’t like that she might be the only one who takes the fall. You know?”

Vivian tilted her head. “Yeah. Like… she’s awful. But she didn’t act alone. Those two hyped her up, milked the drama, played both sides. And they both are wrong. They did it with her. They took her side and left you two years ago. And now what? They walk away clean?”

“She’s no angel,” Bella muttered. “But she’s the one crying in public while they’re cashing views.”

Larissa crossed her legs. “Allen, what are we gonna do about it?”

Allen finally looked up. Took off his sunglasses. His eyes were sharp, cold, unreadable.

“We’ll think about that later,” he said simply. “Not now. It’s too early. Let them fight each other first. Let the smoke rise. When the ashes settle…” He sipped his soda again, still emotionless. “We’ll see what’s worth picking up.”

Azura, who had been curled up silently in the third row, finally peeked between the seats. Her soft voice threaded through the conversation like a shy ghost.

“Do you… still hate her?”

Allen didn’t turn. But his lips tightened slightly.

“I don’t hate her,” he said. “I don’t feel anything.”

That made the car go quiet again. A different kind of quiet.

Vivian slowly reached for Allen’s armrest from behind, her fingers brushing his wrist gently.

“That’s worse than hate, you know,” she said.

Allen didn’t flinch. “Yeah.”

The city lights grew brighter as they entered the downtown area. Pedestrians on sidewalks, taxis, food carts still open even late. The world looked so normal out there. Inside the car? It was a different story.

“I think this chase also hurt you,” Larissa whispered. “I remember. When you first met us. You didn’t talk like this. You weren’t this cold.”

“She hollowed you out,” Bella added. “And we had to put the pieces back.”

“Piece by piece,” Vivian said.

“And now you’re solid,” Alice murmured. “Stronger. Colder. But you’re not broken anymore.”

Azura clutched her seatbelt. “So what if she really meant it this time?”

Allen blinked. Then leaned his head back, eyes on the ceiling. Like he was watching a memory that made his skin crawl.

“It’s too late.”

No one argued.

They knew it too.

Vivian sighed and rested her head against the window. “She threw it away like it was nothing.”

“Because she thought I was nothing when I gave my all to her,” Allen said. “And now?”

He turned to face them for the first time. His gaze swept across every face. Alice. Larissa. Bella. Vivian. Even Azura.

“Now I’m something. And that’s her punishment.”

It wasn’t bitter. It wasn’t vengeful.

It was just… fact.

The kind of fact that tasted like blood if you bit it too long.

“She’s gonna try again,” Alice warned. “I saw her eyes.”

“She can try,” Allen replied. “But I’ve already walked past her a dozen times. I can do it again.”

Bella leaned back, arms crossed. “Then let her watch you from behind like she always feared.”

Larissa’s voice was colder. “Yeah. Let her choke on the dust you leave behind.”

Vivian smirked. “Let’s just keep driving.”

They did.

The SUV cut through the evening like a shadow that didn’t belong in the light. Whatever waited at home—calls, updates, maybe another livestream breaking down the airport drama—it could wait.

For now, the car was silent again.

Only the soft clinks of soda bottles and seatbelt clicks filled the air.

And the hum of Allen’s heart, steady and cold, wrapped in the warmth of eight girls who knew how deep the wound went—even if he never said it aloud.

Yeah.

They loved him.

And they’d burn down the world before letting anyone touch him again.
