Ugly, Fat, and Vicious? My Five Beast Husbands Are Obsessed Anyway

Chapter 4: Have Your Fill of Acting

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Have Your Fill of Acting

"Nuannuan, don’t bother with her. What’s there to be nice about? Look at what she did, and now she’s acting like nothing even happened."

Su Luoluo hadn’t even said a word when a female behind Su Nuannuan spoke up first, her voice tinged with ridicule.

"Exactly! Any normal female would be too ashamed to show her face after being rejected by her own Beastman. She should’ve just bashed her head in and died, but here she is, alive and well. Nuannuan, you’re just too kind," another female chimed in.

Su Luoluo was still reeling from her new, homely appearance, but the next second, hearing such a fierce attack, she was instantly energized.

Her eyes darted around as she prepared to unleash hell.

Right on cue, Su Nuannuan started her "green tea" act. "Don’t say that. Luoluo couldn’t help it. Besides, as her older sister, of course I have to show her extra care."

As she spoke, she stepped closer to Su Luoluo. Seeing her soaking wet hair, she took a handkerchief made of beast skin from her clothes and pushed aside the hair that Su Luoluo had carefully arranged to cover her birthmark.

While pretending to dab her hair dry, she cooed, "Luoluo, it’s not a big deal. You don’t have to jump into a river over it. As long as you change yourself, little by little, Mo Xuan will come to see your good qualities."

’If I didn’t already know that Su Nuannuan was a scheming White Lotus, I might actually believe she was concerned about me.’

’After all, her acting was simply too good. Her tone, expression, and movements were all flawless.’

And just like that, the two females with her took it seriously and began whispering to each other in praise. "Nuannuan is so wonderful. Su Luoluo is usually so mean to her, yet she still cares for her all the same."

"She’s just too kindhearted."

"But still, Su Luoluo is just too ugly. That birthmark is hideous."

Another round of mocking laughter followed.

Hearing their conversation, the corners of Su Nuannuan’s mouth lifted into a smile, which she quickly suppressed before preparing to pull her hand back.

It was another day of successfully showing off her gentle and generous nature.

Su Luoluo watched Su Nuannuan start to pull her hand away, and with a flick of her eyes, she immediately grabbed it.

’Trying to run? Not a chance.’

’Since you love playing the green tea so much, I’ll let you play it to your heart’s content.’

Startled by having her hand suddenly grabbed, Su Nuannuan froze for a moment. She tried to tug it free, but the other girl’s grip was too strong.

She could only force a smile and look at Su Luoluo. "Luoluo, is there something else?"

Su Luoluo nodded with exaggerated seriousness. "There is one thing I’d like my sister to help me with."

Su Nuannuan didn’t want to deal with Su Luoluo, but with people watching from behind, she had no choice but to ask, "What is it? As long as it’s something your sister can do, I’ll definitely help."

"It’s nothing major," Su Luoluo said, placing Su Nuannuan’s hand on her own head. "I have some lice that I can’t quite reach. I’ll have to trouble my sister to help me pick them."

"Pick... pick lice?"

Su Nuannuan’s face filled with horror at her words, and she tried to yank her hand back.

But Su Luoluo didn’t let her go so easily. Gripping her hand tightly, she said with a smile, "Didn’t you just say you’d help me, sister? Why are you pulling your hand away? Could it be that your promise to help your little sister was just a lie?"

"H-How could it be a lie? I just thought of another way," Su Nuannuan stammered, struggling to retrieve her hand, but Su Luoluo held it down firmly.

While holding Su Nuannuan’s hand tight, Su Luoluo put on a pitiful and heartbroken expression. "Sister, I see now. You’re just disgusted by me."

Su Nuannuan’s lips twitched. "How could I possibly be disgusted by you?"

"But you’re not even helping me pick the lice. My head is so itchy."

With that, Su Luoluo forcefully pulled Su Nuannuan’s hand and placed it on her head again. With people still watching, Su Nuannuan had no choice but to reach out.

The moment her hand touched the crown of Luoluo’s head, feeling the thick hair, she couldn’t help but cry out, "Luoluo, you have too many lice! I... I can’t pick them all. I should go find you some medicine instead!"

Unable to bear it any longer, Su Nuannuan snatched her hand back, pushed Su Luoluo away, and hurried off.

Su Luoluo watched her retreating back, then her gaze swept over the two females still standing there. She said mournfully, "Didn’t she promise to help me? It seems my sister is disgusted with me after all."

In reality, Su Luoluo had already washed her hair quite thoroughly. It was only because Su Nuannuan was so squeamish and afraid that she didn’t dare to actually touch it, imagining all sorts of things in her hair.

"My sister won’t help me pick my lice. How about you two help me?"

Seeing the two females still standing nearby, Su Luoluo walked toward them, tugging at her hair.

When the two females saw Su Luoluo approaching, their faces also filled with disgust and fear.

The two of them glanced at Su Luoluo and said awkwardly, "Um, Luoluo, we just remembered we have some chores to do..."

And with that, they also ran off.

Watching Su Nuannuan and her cronies flee in utter defeat, Su Luoluo burst out laughing.

’Playing the green tea? Big deal.’

’Anyone can do that.’

Before her laughter could die down, something pale and glistening dropped from above and landed in her hands.

Fu Feng had returned from his hunt and had been standing nearby for a while, watching the drama unfold.

He raised an eyebrow and chuckled softly. ’So, Su Luoluo isn’t so stupid after all. Every time Su Nuannuan put on her kind and generous act, Luoluo would fall for it and get taken advantage of.’

Su Luoluo looked up and saw a tall, straight-backed figure in a feather dress approaching her. With a cold expression, he pointed at the thing in her hands and said, "This is for you today."

The man was strikingly handsome. He wore feathers in his hair, had a slender build, a high-bridged nose, and thin lips. A pair of amorous-looking Phoenix Eyes seemed to flirt with every glance, but a closer look revealed nothing but indifference in their depths.

Su Luoluo remembered him. He was one of the original owner’s five Beastman husbands, and she thought his name was Fu Feng.

His true form was a Dragon Sparrow, a Fifth-stage Beastman.

The Dragon Sparrow Clan was extremely powerful on this continent, ruling over most of it. She had no idea why a noble like him had ended up here.

And even ended up married to the original owner of her body.

Seeing the disgusted look on her face as she held the fish, Fu Feng scoffed. "What, you can’t even eat fish now?"

"It’s raw. How am I supposed to eat it?" Su Luoluo stared at the freshly skinned fish in her hands, completely baffled.

"Eat it if you want. Toss it if you don’t."

Thinking she was unsatisfied with the food he’d brought, Fu Feng’s words were harsh.

Su Luoluo shook her head. She wasn’t a caveman; she couldn’t just eat raw fish like that.

Glancing around, she found some branches, started a fire, and skewered the fish on a stick.

Then, she began to roast the fish over the flames.

Fu Feng had intended to leave right after dropping off the food, but after seeing Su Luoluo’s series of actions, he inexplicably stayed to watch.

While the fish was roasting, she even went into the woods, picked some wild fruits, rinsed out a bamboo tube she had made earlier, and prepared a cup of juice.

Noticing the man beside her staring, she glanced at him. "Want some?"

Fu Feng’s eyes swept over the bamboo cup she had just used. He shook his head and then left as if he were fleeing for his life.

’I must have been crazy just now,’ he thought. ’To actually think Su Luoluo had changed for the better. Offering me that bamboo tube... she’s still the same as ever. That hideous female actually wants to share a cup with me?’

The very thought that those big lips of hers had touched that drink, that it contained her saliva... Fu Feng just couldn’t stomach it.

’What’s his problem? If he doesn’t want any, fine. Was it necessary to run away from me like that?’

Su Luoluo recalled the look in his eyes just now. It seemed he was disgusted with her.

The corner of her mouth quirked up, and she rolled her eyes.

’Please. She was disgusted with him, too.’
