Chapter 330 Royal Blood Meets Bai Fury
Chapter 330 Royal Blood Meets Bai Fury
“Looks like you have a death wish!”
Bai Zihan’s voice thundered through the chamber, laced with killing intent sharp enough to freeze the air itself.
Both the Fifth Prince and Luo Qing flinched as his aura crashed into them like a tidal wave.
Luo Qing’s brave façade, held together by sheer will, finally broke.
“Young Master…!”
Her voice trembled as tears spilled from her eyes.
Since the beginning of this ordeal, she had fought to stay composed-to uphold the dignity of the Bai Clan and of the man she served.
But she was still just a servant, a mortal girl thrust into a nightmare. Fear and humiliation burned in her chest until Bai Zihan’s arrival shattered it all.
For the first time, the face she once feared brought her comfort.
Taking advantage of the Fifth Prince’s startled hesitation, Luo Qing tore herself free and ran straight toward Bai Zihan.
“I’m sorry, Young Master!”
She cried, bowing her head in guilt.
Bai Zihan’s expression softened briefly.
“Don’t worry. You did nothing wrong.”
His gaze sharpened like drawn steel.
“It’s this piece of trash who crossed the line.”
His killing intent coiled tighter around the room, suffocating.
The Fifth Prince-red-faced and sweating but too arrogant to back down- snapped, “Who are you?! How dare you ruin this Prince’s happy time! Do you have any idea who you’re talking to!?”
The doors burst open behind Bai Zihan as several Bai Clan members rushed in. Their eyes widened at the sight.
“Y-Young Master-!”
Without looking back, Bai Zihan ordered coldly, “Protect Luo Qing and don’t let anyone approach. No matter who comes, they are not to disturb me.”
“Yes, Young Master!”
Two of them hurried forward, gently supporting Luo Qing as they guided her away.
She looked back, her lips trembling, but Bai Zihan didn’t turn. His focus was already fixed on the man before him.
The Fifth Prince, now completely ignored, went livid.
“Do you know what happens to those who offend royalty?! You’ll be executed along with your entire clan! Implicated, all of you! All of you!”
He ranted, spit flying, his words echoing off the marble walls.
From the words he spoke, he seemed to have no idea who he was messing with.
Otherwise, even the Emperor would never dare to utter such a ridiculous word of executing Bai Clan.
When he finally stopped to catch his breath, Bai Zihan’s calm voice cut through the silence like a blade.
“Are you done?”
Bai Zihan asked, his tone of talking with trash.
The Fifth Prince felt that something was wrong especially since the person before him was still treating him like this despite having already said he was Fifth Prince.
“W-What did you say to me?! How dare you still have such an arrogant tone towards me.”
The Fifth Prince yelled.
“Guards! Come and apprehend this man for me!”
The Fifth Prince called out.
Bai Zihan’s eyes gleamed with murderous intent.
“Do you even know,” he said softly, “what you’ve just done?”
The Fifth Prince sneered.
“What, that? It was just a little play. She’s just a commoner girl. So what? I’ll give you five beautiful servants of mine in exchange for yours.”
The words dropped like filth in the air.
After all, no matter who the person before him was, the Fifth Prince believed that Luo Qing, a person with no Qi, was that different from an object.
Sure, people would get angry that someone touched their object without permission but with five times the compensation, anyone would agree easily. Well, at least, the Fifth Prince seemed to believe that.
Then-
SLAP!
A thunderous sound echoed as Bai Zihan’s palm struck. The Fifth Prince’s head snapped to the side, and his body was sent crashing into a pillar.
Teeth scattered across the floor with a spray of blood.
The Bai Clan members near the door froze. Even breathing seemed dangerous now.
Bai Zihan’s voice, cold and emotionless, drifted across the room.
“For the compensation of having taken Luo Qing till now without my permission,” he said, stepping forward, “it will be your life.”
He tilted his head slightly, eyes narrowing.
“Though even that doesn’t seem enough. After all, not only that, you dare to lay your filthy hands on her.”
A faint smile, chilling and beautiful, curved his lips.
“Tell me, should I add everyone who was involved in this?”
The Fifth Prince lay motionless for a moment, his mind blank.
It took several seconds for him to even comprehend what had just happened.
(He… slapped me?)
No one had ever dared to touch him before. Not even his father, the Emperor himself, had ever raised a hand against him.
Rage boiled up, blinding and wild.
“You-!”
His voice cracked into a shriek.
“You bastard! You dare strike me! I’ll make you regret this for the rest of your miserable-“
Slap!
Another sharp sound cut his words short.
His head whipped the other way as a second blow sent him sprawling flat on the floor. A tooth skittered across the marble, spinning before falling silent.
“Keep quiet! I am still trying to think of a punishment.”
The Fifth Prince trembled with fury.
“You-! I’ll kill you! You think I’m some weakling?”
He roared and lunged forward, his fist glowing with Nascent Soul Realm’s Qi as he swung at Bai Zihan’s face-fast, heavy, and filled with killing intent.
But Bai Zihan merely tilted his head.
The punch sliced through empty air.
Before the Fifth Prince could even register what happened, a crushing force bore down on him-Bai Zihan’s aura exploding outward like a collapsing mountain.
His knees buckled instantly. The marble beneath him cracked as he was forced down, unable to breathe, his limbs trembling uncontrollably.
The Fifth Prince’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“J-Just who-?”
SLAP!
Another sharp crack echoed through the hall, louder than before. The Fifth
Prince’s words were swallowed as his body spun from the impact and hit the ground with a dull thud.
Blood splattered across the polished floor.
For a moment, he lay there motionless, dazed, before slowly lifting his head. His cheeks burned with pain, swelling grotesquely, and yet his gaze remained fixed on Bai Zihan.
(How… How is this possible?)
He had sparred with Nascent Soul experts before. He had been praised by royal instructors for his potential. He had thought himself strong-untouchable within the empire.
Yet now, before this youth who looks to be in his teens, he couldn’t even circulate his qi properly.
The Qi within him quivered like frightened insects, refusing to move under that suffocating pressure.
(What… What kind of monster is this?)
His breath hitched as realization began to dawn. He had underestimated him- terribly so.
Due to Bai Zihan’s youthful appearance, and since the Fifth Prince already knew most of the talented individuals in the empire, he assumed Bai Zihan was just a nobody.
Luckily for him-the Imperial Guard has arrived.
“Your Highness!”
The commander’s face went pale the moment he saw the Fifth Prince on the ground with the blood, then twisted in fury.
“You dare harm the Fifth Prince in the imperial palace!? Seize=”
He stopped mid-order as his eyes fell on the man standing before them.
Cold moonlight outlined Bai Zihan’s figure-calm, untouchable, and radiating a killing intent that made even seasoned soldiers’ hands shake.
Behind him stood several Bai Clan members, who were ready to fight them.
The commander’s anger drained instantly, replaced by grim recognition.
“Y-Young Master Bai…”
He forced a smile, trying to defuse the air heavy enough to crush bone.
“This must be… a misunderstanding. The Fifth Prince may have acted rashly, but we will surely ensure proper compensation. However, you must understand -he is royalty. We have a duty to ensure his safety.”
Although he wasn’t sure whether it was even the Fifth Prince’s fault, he said those words to calm Bai Zihan and to settle this with talks.
However, his last sentence also conveyed that they were more than willing to fight if Bai Zihan were to refuse this.
He gestured to his men, urging them to stay calm, then bowed slightly toward Bai Zihan. “If we may, allow us to take His Highness to safety, and I promise-“
The Bai Clan members at the door shifted subtly, blocking the path. “The Young Master ordered that no one interfere,” one of them said coldly. “I ask that you don’t interfere until the Young Master says so!”
The commander froze, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. “You… you realize what this could lead to, right? If this escalates-it could mean war between the Bai Clan and the Falling Star Empire!” The Bai Clan member’s eyes narrowed, his tone razor-sharp.
“War?” He repeated. “If that happens, shouldn’t it be the Falling Star Empire who should worry?”
The implication hung like thunder in the air. The guards shifted uneasily, glancing between the trembling Fifth Prince and Bai Zihan who wasn’t even listening. None dared to move forward. After all, like Bai Clan Member has said, it was their Falling Star Empire who was the weaker party here. Moreover, looking at the Bai Clan members, many of them were in the same realm as him. Even if they were to get into a confrontation, they would likely lose.
But wasn’t like he could just stand by and watch either. He turned to one of his fastest soldiers and gave an order.
“Go and inform his Majesty!”
