Chapter 934 Waking Up
Chapter 934 Waking Up
(Execution Livestream Continuation, The Pit, Soron’s POV)
*CLANG*
*Parry*
*Block*
Soron successfully defended himself against yet another wave of attacks from Helmuth, as the Cult Master remained firmly committed to intense defense, refusing to capitalize on any opening no matter how briefly it appeared.
“Come on now…. You’re taking all the fun out of this.
What’s your plan here?
Do you want to frustrate me to the point I offer you a free swing?”
Helmuth asked, leaning forward as he pointed directly toward his own chin.
“Come, hit me here you son of a bitch.
Come show some spirit.
I swear I won’t move or block the attack….”
Helmuth offered, attempting to bait Soron into switching to offense by any means necessary, however the Cult Master refused to budge. He kept his feet planted firmly and his stance unwaveringly defensive, as he fully accepted his role as the weaker fighter in this exchange and made no attempt to seize the initiative.
Right now, he knew that the priority was to stall for time and conserve energy.
And hence, he did exactly that.
Meanwhile, outside the heart of the Chakravyuh, within the innermost ring formed by five Gods and three Demi Gods, the pressure began mounting slowly but relentlessly.
With both the first and second rings annihilated, a significant portion of the formation’s burden had shifted inward, forcing those holding the innermost ring to bear the strain most directly.
*Pant*
*Gulp*
*Sharp Exhale*
Raymond, Clarence, and Terrence were affected the worst, as while they carried the same load as the Gods beside them, they were still a tier weaker.
‘By the cosmos, this load is unbearable.
The last time I pushed my mind and body this hard was when I ascended from Monarch to Demi God!
Raymond thought as he panted heavily, unable to recall the last time every cell in his body had been strained to this extent.
‘I really hope the pressure doesn’t keep mounting like this.
If it continues like this for even half a day more, I’ll probably pass out from sheer fatigue….
He prayed silently, unable to stop himself from cursing Soron’s defensive fighting style, as he desperately wished for the battle to end as soon as possible so that he could finally be freed from these crushing constraints.
(Meanwhile, the invited special guests and dignitaries)
It was only after the second ring collapsed that the invited special guests and dignitaries truly began to feel uneasy.
Since most of them had been offered seating between the third and fourth rings of the Chakravyuh, a quiet panic started spreading through the crowd, as the realization set in that if the third ring were to fall, they would be the next ones standing in the Cult Army’s path.
“Surely the Cult Army won’t be able to reach us, right? Surely us special guests will be kept safe no matter what… right?”
One of them asked, his voice betraying his nerves, as those around him responded with uneasy looks rather than reassurance.
“Y-yeah… I’m sure it won’t even come to that.
I mean, just look at the Cult Army right now, they can’t push through
the third ring at all.
The Third Ring is made up of some of the most elite soldiers of the Righteous Faction.
They won’t be easy to break through….
Another guest said, trying to sound confident, as the surrounding dignitaries began nervously cheering for the Third Ring’s defenders, watching as Transcendent-tier warriors unleashed one devastating AOE technique after another, wiping out hundreds of Cult soldiers at a time while holding their ground with brutal efficiency.
As for now, it seemed like they were going to be okay.
(Meanwhile, Within The Cult Medical Ship)
“More mana stones! We need more high purity mana stones!
Assistants!
Why is there a delay?
Fetch me my stones, NOW!”
The chief medical officer shouted in rage, as the assistants around him trembled with fear.
So far, Leo’s body had already absorbed over 4000 high purity mana stones, which was enough to fuel a large sized destroyer ship for a year, and it seemed like his body still needed more.
“Chief, we have already brought you all the excess stones that we brought with us to this mission, if you still need more, we might have
to pull some out of the ship’s core…..”
A brave assistant said, as the Chief shot him an angry glance.
“DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF NOW?
THE SHIPS FUEL IS NOT IMPORTANT. THE LORD REGAINING
CONSCIOUSNESS IS THE PRIORITY!
GO FETCH ME THOSE STONES AT ONCE!”
The chief screamed, as the assistants scrambled at once, their footsteps hurried as they returned within a couple minutes with a bag full of stones.
“Healer Darrin, what more do you think we need to do?”
The chief asked his colleague, as Darrin stroked his chin thoughtfully
before shaking his head non-committally.
“We have already done everything we could.
We have fixed all the micro tears in his muscles and limbs.
We have removed all lingering traces of the chaotic energy moving through his circuits
And we have now re-filled his depleted mana reserves with fresh
mana.
There’s not much more we can do.
According to my estimates the Lord should have woken up by now….
Darrin said, as his reply made the Chief’s heart fall in his chest. They had indeed done everything by the book, and had fixed Leo’s body to the best of their abilities, and yet, Leo still lay in slumber, in a
phenomenon that they could not fully understand.
“Do we want to try something drastic like pouring water over his face
or shocking him with electric discharge?
Or will that be over stepping our bounds?” The chief asked, as Darrin shot him a desperate glance.
“Our men need the Lord….. I’m sure, even if we take a drastic measure
just this once, it will be okay….”
Darrin encouraged, as under his guidance, the chief prepared a mild electric charge before connecting the ends to Leo’s fingertips.
“Ready for shock, in 3…2…”
The chief began counting, however, before he could complete the
countdown, Leo’s eyes flung open off his own volition, as the Cult’s Shadow Dragon finally regained consciousness.
