Chapter 579: Chapter 579 Luo Ziling’s Domineering Presence

The middle-aged man in his forties, who was leading the group, shouted authoritatively amidst the chaotic scene, “What are you all doing?”

This middle-aged man was none other than Ling Mingjun, the father of Ling Haiyang, who had been viciously beaten by Luo Ziling.

However, Luo Ziling didn’t recognize these people. Although he had seen them while he was in the room, he had been busy treating Ling Jinhua’s illness, and Ling Ruonan hadn’t introduced their identities to him. He knew they were elders of the Ling Family but didn’t know who they were specifically.

“Dad, save me,” cried Ling Haiyang, who had been beaten by Luo Ziling and felt as if all his bones were broken, in agony, “This bastard actually dared to hit me, you must avenge me.”

With a “thud” of his foot, Luo Ziling kicked Ling Haiyang, who hadn’t managed to get up from the ground and was crawling towards him, several meters away, and then said fiercely, “If you dare to curse me again, I’ll cripple you. I have a father, and I have a mother, what gives you the right to call me a bastard?”

Ling Zhengjun was stunned by Luo Ziling’s action. He had made an entrance, and this kid still dared to strike, it was downright lawless; where did that leave their face?

The other members of the Ling Family were also shocked, gaping in disbelief. They never expected that Ling Ruonan’s son would dare to beat Ling Haiyang in front of them.

With the arrival of the elders, the other descendants of the Ling Family grew bolder as well; seeing Luo Ziling still daring to strike, they clustered around him, filled with righteous indignation.

“You bastard, how dare you cause trouble in the Ling Family Old Mansion.”

“Beat this bastard to death.”

“Hit him, let’s see if he dares to be arrogant.”

In response to the shouting of the descendants of the Ling Family was still the angry roar of Luo Ziling and the force of his fierce punches and kicks.

Under the watchful eyes of Ling Zhengjun and the others, Luo Ziling sent six or seven of the descendants who had crowded around him flying. Yes, kicked them flying, literally kicking them several meters into the air; one even crashed into Ling Zhengjun’s arms, almost toppling him over.

If there had not been someone standing behind him, Ling Zhengjun would have certainly fallen to the ground.

Although Ling Zhengjun’s status in the Ling Family wasn’t as eminent as Ling Mingrui’s son, Ling Zhengping, it was still a position of great reverence. He had never suffered such disrespect and abuse from anyone before. Therefore, after scrambling to his feet in embarrassment, he roared furiously, “Seize this bastard!”

To everyone’s surprise, just as Ling Zhengjun roared the word “bastard,” Luo Ziling, who had originally stopped, suddenly stepped forward, grabbed Ling Zhengjun by the collar, slapped him hard across the face, and then bellowed, “If you dare to call me a bastard again, try it?”

The slap was heavy, causing Ling Zhengjun’s face to swell up on one side.

Ling Zhengjun was stunned, and so was everyone else.

Nobody expected Luo Ziling to dare hit Ling Zhengjun, especially in front of so many people, and on the face, no less.

Ling Zhengjun was overawed by Luo Ziling’s domineering presence, staring at him with a dazed expression, no longer daring to call Luo Ziling a bastard.

Only then did Luo Ziling let go of Ling Zhengjun’s neck and tossed him aside.

Ling Zhengjun staggered backward a few steps and was steadied by a few people behind him before he could gather his wits.

Furious to the extreme, he roared again, “Seize him, and beat him out with sticks.”

Facing Luo Ziling’s eyes that had turned red with anger, Ling Zhengjun, though having been slapped, still didn’t dare to call Luo Ziling a bastard again.

The others were so frightened by Luo Ziling’s assertiveness that they involuntarily stepped back, their faces filled with horror, as if they had seen a demon.

Meanwhile, Ling Haining, who had been lurking on the sidelines enjoying the show, couldn’t help but be overjoyed. He hadn’t expected Luo Ziling to be so reckless as to beat up an elder of the Ling Family in front of so many people.

“A brave but ignorant warrior,” was Ling Haining’s new appraisal of Luo Ziling. In his eyes, Luo Ziling no longer qualified as his opponent.

A group of black-clad bodyguards had already come in, but they didn’t rush forward until Ling Zhengjun bellowed again, prompting them to step forward and encircle Luo Ziling.

Yet, they still didn’t make a move.

They didn’t make a move, and Luo Ziling didn’t continue to fight either. He just watched them with cold eyes.

“Stop!”

“Stop!”

A man’s robust voice and a woman’s voice sounded from behind the crowd; then a woman in high heels rushed through the crowd, shoved a black-clad man aside, and ran to Luo Ziling’s side.

Upon looking, Luo Ziling saw it was his mother, Ling Ruonan.

At this moment, Ling Ruonan looked pale and distraught.

The other man who had called out to stop was Ling Mingrui. He walked over with an authoritative air, glaring furiously at the people and bellowed, “What are you doing? On the old master’s birthday, you’re actually brawling in public?”

“Ling’er, what happened? How did it come to blows with them?” Ling Ruonan grabbed Luo Ziling’s hand, scanned him up and down, and after seeing no injuries on Luo Ziling, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Ignoring the stares of others, she looked icily at the nearby descendants of the Ling Family. “You’ve gone too far, ganging up on my son alone. Are you trying to beat my son to death or what?”

“Ling Ruonan, don’t slander us,” roared Ling Zhengjun, his face swollen from being struck, “It’s your bastard son who attacked us.”

With a loud “smack,” the sound of a heavy slap echoed once more.

Luo Ziling, his hand held by Ling Ruonan, leaped forward and slapped Ling Zhengjun across the face before anyone could react. Now both sides of Ling Zhengjun’s face were swollen.

“Who dares to call me a bastard again? Try me!” Luo Ziling roared with bitter anger, completely disregarding the people standing beside him. “I’ll tell you, I won’t allow anyone to insult me, nor will I allow anyone to insult my parents, or else I’ll fight you to the death.”

“How insolent,” Ling Mingrui was equally stunned by Luo Ziling’s recent actions, but it wasn’t until Luo Ziling had shouted the latter words that he snapped back to reality. With a murderous look on his face, he growled at Luo Ziling, “You have no right to run wild here. Seize him!”

“Ling’er, don’t make a scene,” Ling Ruonan’s heart sank, never in her dreams thinking that the situation would become so out of hand. Despite her savvy, she could not come up with a perfect solution at such a time.

Although Luo Ziling’s audacious action irritated her, she also felt proud. Her son had truly grown up and was willing to defend his mother’s honor in public.

When the Ling Family called Luo Ziling a bastard, they were insulting her too.

If Luo Ziling hadn’t struck out, she would have surely lost her temper, even in front of her own father.

However, with Luo Ziling having struck out, even hitting his uncle Ling Zhengjun, things had really escalated.

At that moment, the black-clad men finally stopped hesitating and all rushed forward.
