Chapter 150 - 109: Infinite Reversals, Wang Ya is Actually a Mole
The moment he stepped forward, the extreme temperature scorched the surrounding vegetation, causing it to wither and turn yellow before bursting into flame with a PUFF.
A fine blue light shimmered in Wang Ya’s pupils. He saw it—the twisted, deformed human body and the neck that shot out like a snake’s. His opponent’s teeth were densely covered in crimson Biological Energy, as was every inch of his skin, seemingly providing a defense similar to a Particle Energy Shield.
’I absolutely cannot get bitten!’
Riley Shebel also saw the youth, who had seemed so harmless and delicate with his pale skin, now erupt in a dazzling fiery light. The intense Fire Element Particle Energy made his very skin and pores instinctively recoil.
’The temperature is immense! His entire body is wreathed in highly concentrated Fire Element Particle Energy, a burning light with no openings whatsoever!’
Both chose to attack, vying to control the pace of the fight. And both had their own ways to defend against the other’s Witchcraft Attack.
[Flame Demon Doppelganger]
[Limit-Breaking: Snake Fang]
The collision was instantaneous.
In that instant, the dazzling firelight violently expanded, and the temperature surged. Any Extraordinary Metal within a ten-meter radius would melt into dripping droplets of molten iron.
More of the crimson Biological Energy surged from his torso into his neck. In that same instant, with serpentine flexibility, his neck shot out two meters as he lunged forward to bite.
...
’I can’t think of any way to fight this. It’s like a damn turtle shell.’
These were the true thoughts of Riley Shebel as the Energy Flame incinerated his flesh and blood.
He tumbled to the ground, covered in filth and grime. Lying prone with his back to the dazzling, fiery figure, he looked utterly wretched.
Even the crimson Biological Energy covering his body gradually faded, seemingly suppressed by the Energy Flame. His flesh was continuously incinerated, turning into a charred mass that clung and shriveled against his bones.
Wang Ya, still in his Flame Demon Doppelganger State, stood motionless. He watched the wretched figure with an indifferent gaze. It seemed he had won.
After all, he was completely unharmed, and the Energy Flame shrouding his body still blazed intensely.
His enemy, on the other hand, was nearly consumed by the Energy Flame. Even a Wizard could not possibly survive such grievous injuries.
HISS!
White steam billowed from the evaporating moisture.
Raindrops the size of fists began to pelt down on the Secret Realm.
The downpour arrived at a suspiciously convenient moment.
The Energy Flame on Wang Ya’s body began to show signs of weakening.
Meanwhile, in the outside world, many of the Wizards watching were stunned when he unleashed the Flame Demon Doppelganger Witchcraft.
Lando Wizard was the most astonished of all, blurting out, "The Flame Demon Fear Witchcraft! Isn’t that an inheritance of the Rhine Lineage? It’s an Inheritance Witchcraft that even Wizards within the Rhine School can’t learn. Only a true Heritage Wizard of the Rhine Lineage can master it. How does this kid know it?"
The Wind Wizard was also taken aback. "Well, this is quite a development."
Gusai Wizard was stunned for a moment before falling silent. His brow furrowed, he narrowed his eyes and stared at Wang Ya’s figure on the projection without a word.
「In the projection conference room.」
Gasps of surprise echoed intermittently, and among the shocked faces was Goodley’s particularly dark expression.
Jishilin was no longer in the mood to bicker with him, his eyes wide as he stared at the projection.
’Is this a joke? That’s really the Flame Demon Fear Witchcraft, the Inheritance Witchcraft of the Rhine Lineage.’
’What in the world is going on?’
’How could the Inheritance Witchcraft of the Rhine Lineage appear in the hands of this Wizard Freshman?’
’Wasn’t he supposed to be the ace up the sleeve for the School Lineage? The Rhine Lineage is supposed to be on our side!’
Many couldn’t help but glance up at the five seats of honor above them. The symbol on the highest seat was, indeed, that of the Rhine School.
They were utterly bewildered. Was this Wang Ya Harak an ace for the School Lineage, or one of their own from the Wizard Family Alliance?
Puni Stark and Ocam Mad exchanged a glance, both seeing the same confusion reflected in the other’s eyes.
Kaze Antuun’s expression, however, changed drastically. He even shot up from his seat subconsciously, his gaze locked on Wang Ya’s figure on the projection. His eyes burned with disbelief, grief, and a grim, fierce determination.
"Well, well, well... What’s this? An inheritance from the Rhine Lineage. How very interesting," Xugus Wizard’s voice echoed through the Salon Association.
There was little humor left in his tone, and his expression grew thoughtful. Clearly, the current situation had exceeded his expectations.
Saiya Wizard and Erin Wizard frowned slightly and looked toward Xugus Wizard, clearly waiting for an explanation.
Wizard Yi Si’s reaction was the most dramatic of all. His pupils first constricted, then he froze in a stupor, and finally, his brow furrowed deeply.
He, too, was bewildered by this turn of events—and even a little alarmed.
The Green Demon Wizard blinked, sensing the atmosphere in the Salon Association had grown strange.
Xugus Wizard let out a soft chuckle. "Could it be that this little fellow has the backing of the Rhine Lineage?"
"No wonder he refused you, Little Yi Si. After all, the Rhine Lineage is no weaker than our White Bone Lineage."
"It seems I underestimated the Wizard Family Alliance. They managed to pull one over on me," Xugus Wizard said with a sly grin. "That Sul must be so smug right now, right? She really got me. I bet she’s hiding somewhere, laughing her head off."
"I’ll have to pay that tomboy a ’visit.’ I’m really getting the urge to pick a fight with her."
Deep within the first floor of the Library, Kelan Wizard sat in her office chair, her slender fingers drumming against the tabletop. Her face, too, was filled with confusion.
The Rhine Lineage may not have made much noise in the last hundred years, but their underlying Power and foundation were undeniable. Most High-tier Wizards knew the truth of their strength.
She was also aware of the Rhine Lineage’s inheritance, which was precisely the source of her confusion. How could the young man her teacher held in high regard be using an Inheritance Witchcraft from the Rhine Lineage?
’I need to ask my teacher about this,’ she thought.
Kelan Wizard’s eyes flickered. At some point, a maple leaf had appeared on her desk.
Just as she reached out to touch it, the maple leaf vanished. In its place came the voice of the Illusory Dream Wizard.
The content and tone of the words made Kelan Wizard’s eyes fly wide open in astonishment.
