As he took a deep breath, a new surge of power burst from his heart. It propelled him to an even greater speed, until he was moving at the very limits of human perception, leaving behind nothing but a blurry afterimage.

Halic was truly unlucky. If he had run into anyone else, it wouldn’t have been such a problem, but he just had to encounter Riley, a Blood Wizard who studied human flesh and blood.

He was at a severe disadvantage!!

His body wrapped in a network of pulsing veins, Riley Shebel used a piercingly crimson palm to scoop up a handful of bloodstained soil. He took a deep, intoxicated breath, discerning the power within the blood cells. It far surpassed that of an ordinary Wizard, or even most Middle-tier Extraordinary Creatures.

This was exactly what he wanted—not some Dark Badge. He didn’t even care about the so-called placements. Of course, he’d casually play along to please the people in his clan, since it would earn him more resources.

His skin rippled and pulsed, as veins throbbed across his forehead and neck as if they had a life of their own. It made his already unpleasant face even more hideous and sinister.

Riley ran his unusually long tongue over his teeth and lips, his pupils bloodshot, his expression a mask of sickness and desire. ’More corpses will let me research more mysteries of the flesh. The bodies of Elemental Wizards warped by radiation, the bodies of Black Wizards altered by Curse Witchcraft and Soul Witchcraft, the bodies of Dream Wizards influenced by special methods... I want them all.’

’Heh heh heh... This blood is so alluring. Even if I can’t get the body of Dante, who walks the Wizard Path of a War Body Wizard, your body, Halic, will at least let me glimpse some of the secrets of War Body Wizards... and by extension, the secrets of Dante’s own body.’

Riley considered himself incredibly lucky to have encountered so many fresh, vibrant bodies, unlike those two stupid, disgusting guys, Aitri and Guterres.

’Oh, you foolish Halic... No matter how far you run, you can’t hide that wonderful scent you’re giving off.’

With the sound of grinding bones, triggered by Particle Energy, Riley’s body underwent an astonishing transformation. Veins detached from their original positions, piling up and coiling around his legs and heart. His bones also shifted, repositioning themselves to be better suited for movement.

If a Wizard were to observe the inside of Riley’s body, they would discover that every cell of his flesh and blood exhibited a ravenous, devouring desire, craving nourishment.

He vanished on the spot, his speed so extreme it was impossible to follow with the naked eye.

Even a Wizard’s Spiritual Perception could only register his presence, but their physical body and reflexes would be far too slow to react in time.

The powerful winds stirred up in his wake made the grass and trees hiss and rustle. Any unlucky Extraordinary Creatures in his path were instantly smashed into a bloody mist. It seemed Riley had also achieved an extremely high level of Defense Power.

From an outside perspective, it was clear that Halic Qiuji was about to run into Wang Ya, who was heading in his direction. Meanwhile, Riley was closing in at an extreme speed, far faster than Halic, meaning all three were on a collision course to meet at the same time.

"How interesting. The Secret Realm competition has just begun, and the strongest Wizard Freshmen are already about to fight each other."

At the Salon Association meeting, Xugus Wizard pointed at the projection screen, a brilliant smile on his face.

In his daily life, Xugus Wizard smiled a great deal. It was difficult to discern any negative emotions from his expression.

Wizard Yi Si calmly sipped the rest of his milk tea. Even though Xugus had just interrupted him mid-sentence, he showed no reaction.

He had experienced it so many times that he had simply grown used to it.

’If he could actually beat Xugus in a fight, he would have smashed his head in long ago.’

Saiya Wizard spoke up, "Judging by the screen, those two from the Wizard Clan are following the Blood Wizard Path and the Elemental Wizard Path, respectively."

"But as for this little fellow from the Evil God incident, it’s hard to get a read on him. The cultivated crow on his shoulder seems rather special."

The other Wizards present nodded slightly at Saiya Wizard’s words. They, too, had noticed something special about Wang Ya: it was still impossible to tell which Wizard Path he was on, as he had yet to demonstrate any specific abilities.

There was a high probability he was an Elemental Wizard, but they couldn’t rule out other Wizard Paths. Some Wizards dabbled in multiple Wizard Systems; it wasn’t impossible to combine them, as long as one established a core Wizard Path.

Erin Wizard’s cold expression wavered slightly. "So, who do you think will be the final winner among these three?"

Based on what they’d seen, the freshman on the Blood Wizard Path wouldn’t spare anyone he encountered, and the fleeing freshman on the Elemental Path was weaker and would likely be killed. The only variable was the little fellow they had placed their bets on.

"I don’t know. If I were there in person, I might be able to make a judgment, but I don’t have the skill to do it just by watching a screen." The one who spoke was a young man with short green hair, clad in a Green Wizard Robe. He wasn’t very old and had a tranquil aura.

He was the second-in-command of the Withered Wood School, known as the Green Demon Wizard.

Wizard Yi Si finally spoke, his voice cold. "Wang Ya Harak has other support. He won’t necessarily be much weaker. He should at least have the Power to compete for the top three. The Power of a Level 2 Wizard Apprentice, combined with mastery of Middle-tier Witchcraft—that’s the absolute baseline."
