Chapter 841: The Dungeon Sealing

Chapter 841: The Dungeon Sealing

The dark portal that was usually a dungeon’s entrance grew bigger in size with each spell’s activation. The main circular center inside remained the same size; it was the dark smoke or energy constantly emitted by the dungeon that was getting bigger in size.

Till all the spells of Ilvanya were activated, nothing abnormal showed up other than the dungeon entrance reacting slightly. Damian had copied all the spells without question for doing this ritual again on his own. The elves knew he could copy any spells, and once they revealed this method, it would be forever in his hands.

Land-breaker could also do this, though. So it would have been revealed to him sooner or later, even if the elves refused to help the research center. This way, at least they could score some points with him and Sanctuary while showing the research center members how helpful they were, unlike others.

Seconds after the last spell was activated, the flow of the dark energy froze in time for a moment. But right in the next second, the pitch dark dungeon entrance circle spat out seven bright purple runic circles, one after another.

Three were small and condensed with runes and joining pathways. They settled in three directions, capturing the dark circular entrance inside. Three other purple runic circles with fast-rotating runes and disks pulled slightly away from the entrance, growing to ten meters in diameter before settling. These three also surrounded the dark entrance from three sides, the angle was slightly different than the three smaller purple runic circles placed near the dark entrance.

The last runic circle, the seventh one, grew over 30 meters in size and settled beneath the six rotating runic circles. This one had a dimmer purple color compared to the rest. The three circles closest to the dark entrance were the brightest.

The seventh one was beneath the surface of the water. If they had done the ritual on solid land, his eyes never would have picked up the runic circle. But the transparent water of the ocean revealed the underwater glowing giant runic circle.

Damian was surprised to see the familiar purple, constantly changing and rotating runic circles again. He half expected to see such a sight, though. He quickly used his skill Sigil Replication as fast as possible to copy the constantly changing runic circles while instantly creating them to the side and holding them with mana threads extending out of his body.

He flew from the floating platform so his sudden mana outbursts, holding hundreds of runic spells, wouldn’t harm the second ranker and below researchers. The runic spells weren’t without physical effect, though. The land beneath the dungeon entrance was experiencing high vibrations, resulting in the ocean going wild and an earthquake violently shaking the land, with their position being the epicenter of the whole thing.

Strong winds with black and purple lightning surrounded the dark, smoky, energy-filled dungeon entrance.

Damian did not divert his mind at all, leaving the safety to others. Sam, Vidalia, the emperor, along with Voidshaper, took steps to protect the floating platform from the strong winds and lightning as Damian continued copying the ever-changing runic circles and creating them with his own mana in real time.

The air around him was full of thousands of runic circles. He flew higher and higher to have more space to put the spells. The whole thing was barely going on for less than twenty seconds, and Damian’s nose and eyes had already started bleeding. His mind was reaching the limit of his focus as his eyes shifted at high speed, capturing the images of the seven purple runic circles, and then forced his mind to create those images into a runic circle.

Only when his body was experiencing extreme pressure with over a thousand thin mana threads extending and overloading his body did the small incident come to an end.

Physically, to others, it looked like the dark dungeon entrance released a lot of energy in the environment, and then the dark energy of the dungeon entrance was swallowed up by the ocean. The emperor and others dived inside the ocean to see where the dark cloud of energy went, but it just disappeared out of nowhere.

However, that was not true.

Through Damian’s eyes, the ritual made more sense, yet at the same time, it didn’t.

The dark, smoky energy exuding from the dungeon entrance was actually swallowed slowly by the seventh runic circle. The dark circular entrance of the dungeon and its surrounding purple runic circles were also sucked into the seventh, giant runic circle. It was the only remaining runic circle until the end, and then that too expanded and broke into thousands of tiny purple particles.

In the end, nothing had remained. The whole dungeon entrance was gone. There was no lingering mana left behind at all.

Damian hadn’t paid much attention to it, but when the wave of energy was exuding from the dark circular dungeon entrance. Monsters from far and wide, along with any energy the dungeon had slowly exuded in the environment over the years, were completely sucked inside the dark entrance.

The monsters they had brought out themselves were unaffected. The monsters that had left the dungeon on their own after it overloaded were the ones forcefully pulled back inside. This was one of the dungeons that had monsters surrounding it. Most were killed, but over the years, many must have gone free in the open ocean.

It was left unattended for centuries after all, before Damian found it and let demons enter.

Holding so many spells was taxing his body. The others had noticed his bad condition by now. Sam, Vidalia, Ilvanya, and Voidshaper had already come closer to him to understand better what was going on.

“Damian? Are you alright?” Sam asked.

Damian only nodded, though, and was trying not to lose focus and release a few spells unknowingly. Under the confused gazes of everyone, Damian pulled out tons of blazur alloy, activated multiple fire spells to melt it all, and used small meter-sized cubes to place the spells he was holding.
