The Primordial Record

Chapter 1920: Becoming A Primordial (2)

Chapter 1920: Becoming A Primordial (2)

This Incarnation of Rowan was cut off from Eos, and maybe that was causing some slight glitch in the Primordial Record, but Rowan believed that this was not the case; something more was happening here that needed careful eyes and instincts going through it, and the most likely suspect for this change was the power he invoked upon when he summoned his Final Form.

Since that moment, nothing had been the same. Rowan still had vivid memories of what happened, yet there were large holes in those memories from the moment he summoned his Final Form and the unknown methods it used to interpret his desires.

However, Eos’s memories were perfect, and even though there were holes in them, the nature of these holes was weird. It was not as if when his Incarnation vanished alongside the hunger of the Primordials, his memories also went along with them; rather, it was the opposite. All the memories of that day still remained, but he could not access them.

It was as if he had been reduced to the level and the intellect of an ant, and the inner workings of a quantum supercomputer was placed in front of him, even if that ant was given forever to work out the operations of this computer, it would be useless, there was no way an ant could gather all the knowledge and the tools to even know where to start.

Every time Eos scrutinized those blank spots in his memories, this was the same sensation he had; however, he thought his situation might be a bit better than an ant’s, because his mind was capable of holding this information, except he did not have the right tools to pry it open.

Eos would have shown any of his Primordials this memory if they could have deciphered it, but he decided this would be a last resort. The sheer weight of the memory inside his mind meant that the Primordial he gave the task of deciphering it would perish.

Holding this amount of information in their soul would mean everything about them would begin to burn a billion times faster and hotter to accommodate it, and this was a consumption that could never be come back from again. Although he knew that all of his children would fight for the chance to give up their lives for his purpose, he would always be taking this path as the last option.

So, Eos decided to kill multiple birds with a single stone. He would be reaching the Primordial Level, and this was basically a test run of what he would be facing if he were to reach the Primordial level with his main body.

There were still latent dangers hidden inside Reality and possibly inside his body as well, and he needed to find out. To draw out any hidden party, Rowan had announced his ascension to the ranks of Primordial to everyone, and he could have taken his tribulation inside the Origin Land, where he was considered safe, but Rowan decided to perform this ascension on the Road of Eternity.

Reaching the Primordial level meant that a being could be considered perfect. If not for monstrous outliers like Rowan and the seven ancient Primordials, it was technically impossible for a Primordial to perish, not even in the hands of another Primordial.

In a fair existence, without beings like Rowan and the Primordials with multiple stacks of Origin Power inside their bodies, then the two Origins of combating Primordials could clash for all eternity, and except the other Primordials were suppressed, then it was impossible for them to die. Not even allowing themselves to be killed would even kill them, because Death would not be able to carry the weight of a Primordial’s soul… however, this was in a fair reality.

In this existence, there were beings like Rowan who could easily shatter the Origin Force of a ninth-dimensional entity, and Death, well, this entity had fed to the extent that he had long grown more powerful than his station could ever demand.

One thing was sure, one way or another, after this Era had ended, then it would be impossible for there to be beings like Rowan and his kind again; he would make sure of it. Sure, existence might be poorer for it, but the threat to its stability and longevity would be assured.

So, for anyone else, reaching the Primordial level was a dream of a lifetime. Still, for Rowan, his problem was deciding which Origin Force he should seed into his flesh to finalize his ascension to the level of Primordial.

He glanced at the names of the Origin essence he had gathered and almost smiled. The new Primordials he was creating were so different from their ancient counterpart that it was almost comical, and Rowan could not be any more prouder than he was; they were the evolution of existence taking form.

Telmus was the first person who took the dreams of Rowan and made them a Reality. The ancient Primordials could be considered fundamental forces of nature, but Rowan had always believed that their “primordial nature” was both their strength and their weakness.

Primordial Light, Primordial Time, Primordial Soul, Primordial Life,Primordial Chaos, Primordial Memory… Primordial Demon. All of them were powerful, but their aspect were impossibly rigid in such a drastic manner that they lacked all form of subtlety. Rowan believed that this method of embodying a Primordial Force was the ancient way of pushing for the ninth-dimensional level, and the next logical progression to this method was to incorporate a more profound concept that gathered the features of many lesser concepts into a completed package, with all the sum coming together to be greater than their parts.

Telmus merged the concept of Primordial Demon’s hunger and lust for battle and victory with the seven bloodlines of Trion, taking Rowan’s family legacy and inheriting it in full. He became the Primordial of Defiant Ascension, and that meant he was something that existence had not known before.

The weakness of the Ancient Primordials and why they could be so easily countered by Rowan or even fall into madness was due to the fact that existence understood them, even if it was too weak to suppress them. Chaos, Time, Demon, Life… these were ancient concepts thoroughly known by existence and if not for the perverse nature of the Ancient Primordials that caused them to suppress everything around them due to their sheer size, they would have long been defeated, and yet, their weakness meant they ran mad without being able to control their hunger.

His new Primordials, may not be able to consume Realities and therefore gain new Origin Essence and Forces because they were unique, but that meant their potential was unlimited, and even Rowan could not tell how far they would be able to reach, as he had no way to judge their path.

The Origins of the Ancient Primordial stopped at the fourth level, but what were the limits of the New Primordials? How far would they be able to reach?

Rowan knew that not only was their potential superior to the Ancient Primordials, but they were also stronger. Rowan was able to simulate the battle with the Ancient Primordials while restricting the simulation to control ten Origin Force, and every new Primordial demolished their ancient counterpart… the moves they were able to create from their new concepts were so profound that the Ancient Primordials had no way to truly defend against them.

Only when he continued to increase the number of Origin Force inside the bodies of the simulated Ancient Primordials did they begin to lose, and Telmus held the foremost position for defeating a Primordial who had seventy-five stacks of Origin Force in their body.
