Chapter 3345: The Strongest Mother
Chapter 3345: The Strongest Mother
“Attack! Don’t let the giants invade our lands any more than they already have!”
“Mobilize nature to crush them!”
“Prevent more of them from coming aboard our territory!”
The light elves in the fast East of East Genora rallied together as they mobilized their power together. The eastern front had been turned into a destructively deadly battlefront with an onslaught of destructive power that greatly exceeded the scales of normal war.
The Giants continued invading from the North through the Soran Pass, a narrow strait between Genora and Samarkha, which minimized the amount of distance that the giants would need to pass through in order to make it to East Genora.
While the light elves had long known about this invasion point and had armed it with defenses, the giants proved to be relentless, using their numbers to absorb the destructive onslaught that the light elves had unleashed upon them. They experienced devastating casualties each moment they remained on East Genora, and yet, they continued their invasion without any hesitation.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!
A devastating onslaught of attacks ravaged the giants as the light elves flung everything that they could at them.
And yet, the giants only kept progressing unperturbed.
It didn’t matter how injured they were.
Or how many of them died.
However, the giants were not suicidal by nature. In fact, if anything, it was the opposite. They possessed among the greatest tenacities for survival among all six pureblood species of the genus.
The reason they could afford such a high death rate was that the giants possessed a virtually exponential fertility rate.
They were constantly in heat, making for a constant reproductive cycle that allowed them to replenish the dead.
On top of that, their offspring were not the size of giants from the very get-go, either. This allowed the females of the species to bear a large number of offspring at any moment, and each pregnancy gave birth to a large number of offspring simultaneously.
The biggest constraint to the giant population was not fertility; it was resources.
Samarkha was a largely barren land with sparse vegetation because of the destructive appetite of the giants, leading them to over-hunt and over-consume everything on the continent with their voracious hunger. The only life on the planet left was just enough vegetation they maintain itself to ensure that it didn’t starve.
There was also a species of flora that had evolved by natural selection to be inedible even to the giants, while others had developed tricks to prevent themselves from being eaten by the giants.
Thus, the absence of resources in Samarkha proved to be the biggest bottleneck for the giant population. And because their fertility rates were permanently high, it proved to be even more burdensome to them to have such a high population on a continent with sparse resources.
Thus, the Giant Invasion into East Genora was not mindless.
They could cull their excessive numbers through war in order to successfully invade East Genora and regain access to virtually endless resources that would allow them to increase their population in a sustainable manner.
They simply continued their invasion, overwhelming East Genora’s defenses with a mindless, destructive, yet surprisingly effective battle plan that allowed them to stake out a tiny piece of East Genora for themselves.
The eastern front, once a beautiful, paradisical haven of nature and light, filled with lush green forests and rich flora, had now been reduced to a barren battlefield stained with both elven and giant blood.
The soil had been turned into a brownish-red, as had the seawater right off the coast. The bedrock of the land had almost begun crumbling from the continent, turning into rubble that was eroded by the force of war.
The air was riddled with devastatingly loud explosions, the roars and screams of light elves and giants alike as the darkness of the night sky seemed to come alive, consuming the entire world as the giants continued progressing deeper and deeper into East Genora.
It proved to be the greatest humiliation for the light elves to have their territory forcefully taken against their will by an army of oafish giants.
“Dammit, there’s no end to them!”
“Where are the Mothers of Nature?!”
“Why have they stopped participating in the battle?!”
The absence of the Mothers of Nature, who had momentarily withdrawn from battle to resonate with Mother Maeria in her ascent to a higher Realm, was not missed by the rank-and-file light elves and certainly not among the higher-ranked light elves who fought tooth and nail to hold the giants back.
And yet, the absence of the Mothers of Nature was soon corrected very shortly.
’Begone from our lands, Giants of Samarkha.’
The voice of Mother Maeria spread across East Genora as she deployed her tremendous power to aid the resistance against the giants.
RUMBLE!!!!!!
A destructive volley of branches and roots emerged from deep within the bedrock of the land, turning into a destructive onslaught of extraordinary power.
One that not even the giants with their costly invasion plan were able to sustain.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
“RRAGGGHHH!!!” the giants roared with pain as an unstoppable volley of branches and roots erupted from East Genora, almost as if the continent itself fought back against them.
The sheer force of the attack ravaged the giants before pushing them away from the East Genora with unyielding force. Mother Maeria used the branches and the roots she manipulated to quite literally drag them back to Samrkha, launching them back to their home with an aggressive attack.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
In the blink of an eye, Mother Maeria singlehandedly overwhelmed the Giant Invasion with the sum totality of all her power.
RUMBLE!!!!!!
Back within a small cavity deep within her true body, Rui gazed at the vessel of Mother Maeria with amazement as he understood what had just happened.
She had singlehandedly ended the Giant Invasion.
The same invasion that not even all the other Mothers of Nature of East Genora were able to easily end.
The same invasion that contained giants of the same caliber that battled Martial Sages and Transcendent Candidates.
Before the might of the strongest Mother of Nature, they were no match for her.
