Chapter 3315: Clinging to Survival

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

The sheer amount of destruction that the Mothers of Nature unleashed upon Rui was intense as he soared through the skies of the East Genora. The death of Mother Mara had shaken almost every single Mother of Nature of East Genoran Elven Civilization, moving them into action.

Regardless of whether they approved of Mother Mara’s decision or not, they couldn’t allow the death of one of their sisters to go unpunished. The devastating loss of one of their oldest Mothers of Nature had already become a wound that the nation would never be able to heal from again.

Light elves and even dark elves across the continent mourned the death of one of their spiritual leaders while her sisters hunted Rui down, even as he traveled across the continent.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

Rui defended himself with an armor of invintium as attacks of extraordinary power ravaged his body. Every step he had taken across East Genora in his perilous voyage back to the West had proven to be extremely difficult as his journey was virulently opposed by the light elves and their Mother.

They mobilized the entirety of the continent’s resources, attempting everything, which meant they had to intercede for him and kill him long before he could return to the dark elves. At the same time, he found himself unable to even run in a straight line, forced to constantly move diagonally or even stepping backwards to avoid the attacks that they unleashed on him.

The Mothers of Nature had not forgotten that they still possessed an enormous stamina advantage compared to him.

Stamina for him was not just a matter of energy; there were also raw constraints of strain that his body and especially brain could handle that could not be ameliorated with energy alone.

He desperately needed rest, and yet the Mothers of Nature refused to give him even the slightest reprieve. They never allowed him to catch his breath, let alone get some actual rest. They never even allowed him to stand still, desperately fearing that he would teleport away to the west if they gave him enough time to do so.

They wore him down with attacks that they knew he could withstand but would be taxed to do so nonetheless, commencing a hunt for him that was more human-like than anything else they had done.

Outlasting and tiring their prey in a long and exhaustive hunt.

If not for Gigabrain, Rui suspected that he would likely have already been defeated.

Each moment, more power than he could output as a whole converged on him, threatening to annihilate every atom in his body. With every Mother of Nature joining the battle from across the continent, he was thoroughly on the defensive as they unleashed the power of East Genora on him.

Not even the combination of his invintium exoskeleton, Nemean Blossom, and his most powerful defensive techniques like Body of Water and Anti-Spiral were enough to deal with everything that they unleashed upon him.

He couldn’t even take light elves hostage by attempting to harm civilians with his attacks. The Mothers of Nature had already accounted for it, and everywhere he found himself was absent of any elves that he could take hostage.

The Mothers of Nature had an extremely developed predictive model on him that was now being run on the equivalent of tens of thousands of supercomputers, allowing them to predict his every turn and every direction with accuracy the likes of which allowed them to prevent almost any casualties.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

Rui guarded against a wooden explosion, one that detonated before even he could cut it down with his web of death, while millions, billions, and trillions of attacks converged upon him from places that were beyond even his senses.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

A destructive onslaught of extraordinary momentum ravaged his body, heating and even chipping the invintium in his exoskeleton with the astronomic pressures that they generated.

That wasn’t all, however,

The bright blue sky illuminated by the high Sun was something that worked in the favor of the light elves, increasing their raw energy output by a significant degree. In particular, the power that they gained from the bright morning Sun exceeded Rui’s expectations.

It proved to give them power that he didn’t even know was possible.

VMMMMM!!!!!

Rui’s eyes widened as the flora of the forest above him unleashed a destructive onslaught of lasers that threatened to annihilate his body where he stood.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

Each attack was so intense that, together, the collective onslaught began melting away the invintium in his exoskeleton, causing it to drip and melt, falling away as slag in East Genoran territory.

DRIP DRIP DRIP…

CRACK CRACK CRACK!

The sheer pressure that Rui was under was so high that he couldn’t even afford to care about the fact that his exotic pluripotent matter had been discharged in East Genora. He was too busy trying not to be annihilated by the light elves who unleashed a destructive war upon him in their grief, rage, and hatred for him.

’You will never leave this continent successfully.’

A whisper emerged in his mind.

’We will destroy you in your entirety.’

The Mothers whispered their sweet hatred for him in his mind even as they threw everything at him in the hopes that he would perish.

’The light elves will never forgive you until you die. And we will never forgive you even after you die.’

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

RUMBLE!!!!!

The astronomical destruction they unleashed on him from all directions proved to be so great that even Rui was forced to put everything he had on defensive and evasive maneuvering.

Any other Martial Sage, perhaps all other Martial Sages combined, would have undoubtedly experienced absolute destruction by the sheer onslaught that the light elves unleashed upon him.

And yet, he survived.

The siege of attacks was orders of magnitude above the siege of attacks that human civilization was capable of with their siege weapons. The sheer energy levels of elven civilization, especially inside their territory where they were invincible, were unlike anything Rui had ever imagined possible for a civilization.

And yet, he clung to life with all his power, unwilling to be felled by the light elves of East Genora.
