Chapter 3187: Divulged Secret
Chapter 3187: Divulged Secret
The tekvore did not reply, of course.
He tried to keep his body frozen.
He suppressed as much movement, micro or otherwise, from occurring.
And yet, he couldn’t stop the Psycher.
“Ah…” the Psycher’s voice lit up. “There’s one here, isn’t there?”
He marked a spot on the map.
His superhuman vision allowed him to perceive more of the tekvore’s body language and nonverbal communication.
More importantly, he could interpret them with shocking accuracy.
“There’s one here too, isn’t there?” the blood human marked another location as his finger hovered over the map. “And another here.”
Rui and Amare watched with fascination as the Psycher rooted out hundred of military bases in the span of just half an hour.
Rui was amazed because, although he was confident he could replicate this with the SOUL System, that was still only because he could sense brainwaves and neural activity directly.
The Psycher did not have that ability.
He was relying on pure physical observation of one’s body language and nonverbal communication to gauge highly important strategic intel.
This was despite the fact that he was dealing with a member of a totally different species who undoubtedly had different nonverbal communication.
Not the mention, the mechanization of most of their body made it even more difficult to do what he had done.
And yet, he succeeded nonetheless.
“Alright, I suppose that’s enough for today.” He gazed at the horrified tekvore. “It appears that tekvores have none of the psychological endurance and fortitude of Martial Artists. It will not do if you lose your sanity. We still have much, much more to squeeze out of you, my friend. Today; military bases, tomorrow; vulnerabilities in the energy infrastructure, the day after; weaknesses in communication, the day after that, weaknesses in the Technology Path… all the way until I have extracted everything you have to offer.”
His words were chilling.
The tekvore couldn’t understand the words themselves, but he understood the meaning nonetheless.
“…Until next time.”
The Psycher quietly departed from the interrogation room.
CLACK
The chamber opened up as he stepped out into the observation chamber, finding himself gazing at Rui and Amare.
“Ah…” his eyes lit up with intrigue and fascination. “I was not aware that you were here.”
“…Well, we have some unfinished business,” Rui remarked. “I figured I might as well get it done with once and for all.”
“I appreciate that,” the Psycher replied with a gentle voice. “And you, my dear…”
His gaze shifted to Amare who he regarded with a mixed expression.
“It appears that my hypothesis and my solution were at least partially workable,” he gazed at her knowingly. “You are Esil, are you not?”
She nodded.
“…I came here to say thank you.”
The Psycher shook his head. “I was merely keeping a promise. Solving a problem that we created. I’m sure the two of you have much to say, so let us relocate to my office.”
It wasn’t long before they found themselves in a lush psychologist’s office. One that was aesthetically pleasing, plastered with a relaxing sky blue illuminated by the bright light of the morning Sun. The Psycher poured them a cup of tea at his insistence, before sitting opposite them on the couch.
“Now then…” he sipped a bit of tea. “Let me begin by asking you…”
He gazed deeply at Rui.
“How did you do it?”
His tone was calm, but betrayed his intense desire to know.
The air grew heavy as a deafening silence bore on the atmosphere.
“It’s not that complicated, really,” Rui replied. “I realized that my soul transference ritual had caused the gap between mind and soul to increase such that subconsciously reaching Enlightenment of Self was not feasible for me. So I developed a method that allows me to consciously reach the Enlightenment of self. A system of thought, if you will.”
The Psycher’s eyes lit up at those words. “…Incredible. Go on, tell me more. What did this system of thought look like?”
Even Amare, or Esil, in this case, couldn’t help but grow curious about what he said.
Rui had never told anyone how he broke through to the Sage Realm, after all.
Perhaps people were just keenly aware of how untimely it was and strongly suspected that Rui had cracked the code for the breakthrough to the Sage Realm.
They were correct.
“A predictive, large language, SOUL model describing the causality of one’s being,” Rui replied simply. “I call it the Large Soul Model. Once you have this, you have a form of conscious Enlightenment of Self, as opposed to subconscious or intuitive Enlightenment of Self.”
The Psycher’s eyes flew wide open at those words. “What…? You created a system of thought to create a model describing who you are?”
“Yes,” Rui remarked. “I constantly need to update it because I’m constantly changing, as is everybody.”
“Fascinating…” the Psycher murmured. “And how does this Large Soul Model work? How do you create it?”
“…It’s the fusion of several systems of thought in my Martial Mind as well as some improvised ones,” Rui replied thoughtfully. “To go into detail…”
Rui spent a substantial amount of time describing the nitty-gritty of the Large Soul Model, answering all the questions that the Psycher threw at him.
The man seemed bewildered at Rui’s explanation.
It sounded fictional.
Fantastical.
And yet, the fact of the matter was that Rui was indisputably a Martial Sage.
By the time Rui was done, he was completely stunned, lost in his own world.
“…To think the solution was so extravagant and unattainable,” the Psycher murmured to himself. “I daresay that you might be the only man able to achieve this in a short amount of time. But with this body…”
He gazed at his hand.
“…It might be possible for me to achieve this as well.”
Hemosapiens were more intelligent than humans.
Rui had witnessed Arastia’s intelligence and her prodigious rate of learning and mastery of her own hemokinesis
“Well, good luck,” Rui replied. “It took me forever to achieve Enlightenment of Self, and after Amare died…”
He shook his head. “I barely made it in time with Gigabrain.”
