The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1757: Full Power

Chapter 1757: Full Power

It was a devastating attack.

Stelios witnessed the barrier protecting him shattered, and the force from the impact rippled through the space around him and hurled him away. His body bounced and tumbled across stone, screeching far until the very edge.

He held on to the edge, almost falling from the stone formation.

As he came to a stop, his face was still frozen in shock.

Fighting Werewolves is his main forte, and he has witnessed a lot of them across his entire life.

But none was quite as the one he was facing right now.

Even though some Werewolves are inherently cruel and cunning, using strategy over brawn, they could never use their minds fully in battle. The reason was quite simple; it’s because in a battle, their rage will be stimulated more strongly, and that’ll override their minds.

It was how Stelios had been beating them all this time.

Fight enough Werewolves, and one would learn the pattern quite easily.

Anger-filled attacks are strong and destructive, but there can never be creativity, which was an obvious limitation exclusive to the Werewolves. Though they have the second strongest physique among the high-rank Supernatural races, they have a crippling downside.

But the Royal Black Prince was different.

His anger influenced him differently compared to normal Werewolves.

Yes, his anger made him feral, but for some reason, he also still retained his predatory thinking.

As a matter of fact, his predatory thinking was amplified because of the anger.

Feeling Stelios’ fighting style and analyzing it at an incredible pace, creating the reddish smoke to cover his next move, strike a deal with the Demon Origin’s consciousness to touch the Angel Origin’s body— without repercussions, and then gave a devastating surprise.

Nothing angers Stelios.

However, from between the lines, Rex could pinpoint what he holds dear the most.

The Angel Origin, aka the First Light.

It was the very reason Stelios had crossed into the Spirit Realm at all—his final hunt, carried out before the gaze of the Angel Origin itself. A fitting, poetic end to his legacy as the Archangel of Knives before he shed his old self and was reborn anew as a Dark Archangel.

Rex knew that drawing him in was by disrespecting the Angel Origin, and he was absolutely correct.

His anger never blinded him from thinking clearly.

It instead gave him a fiercely narrow focus for the sole purpose of killing the enemy in front of him.

And that’s the real reason he triumphed over his powerful enemies.

Stelios pushed himself up and then snapped his gaze to the side.

Boom!

A hand seized his neck and raised him skyward roughly.

Rex’s gleaming eyes stared intensely at Stelios, as an intense sensation of satisfaction surged inside him, as he was now holding the Archangel of Knives directly. “Can you still fight?” He asked. “I haven’t felt satiated yet, so keep fighting.”

Crash!

Brutally, Rex slammed Stelios into the stone ground.

Crash!

Crash!

Again and again, he slammed Stelios like he was a broken doll.

It was more of a taunt than an actual attack, though each slam rattled Stelios’ internal organs still.

“RAARGGH!!”

Kaboom!

Stelios’ body detonated with a blast of searing radiance that scorched Rex’s torso and hurled him back even though he was ready—center of gravity firm and feet dug into the ground. His six wings snapped wide, and at once each one began devouring the surrounding energy like ravenous vortexes.

It pulled the energy around like a suction.

All the life energy around was sucked and converted into holy energy.

Rex stabbed his claws into the ground and endured the rushing force, eyes staring ahead.

An Angel’s wings are equipment, not a body part. It can work on both realms.

Kaboom!

Another explosion happened as Stelios’ body, which was engulfed in holy energy, was revealed once again.

Now, the flowing silk that draped his form was replaced with golden holy armor.

Rex could feel from the increase in aura alone that Stelios’ power surged even higher, and that was due to the six wings. Not to mention, the runic magic circle behind him formed again, stronger and brighter, transforming all the hundred holy knives it contained.

“You will pay for your atrocity,” He whispered hatefully. “I’ve had enough of you…”

<Notice: Stelios has entered his Archangel Form!>

Seeing the notification, a smirk crept to Rex’s lips.

“Only the strongest will survive!” He roared as his aura skyrocketed too.

Kaboom!!

Since Stelios was going all out, it would only be appropriate for him to respond the same.

Rex’s aura expanded to the surroundings, sweeping the ground like a tide of blood.

Everything around him was dyed red.

Both of his hands that were equipped with the Red Dawn of Kaiser starting to burn violently, charged with more power than he had ever used before. Anyone would never believe the energy that was coming out of him right now was the work of an Eternal Spirit.

It was too dense, too powerful, too unnatural for an Eternal Spirit.

A spherical moon appeared on the back of his hands as he activated his newfound power.

His own original echo—the Blood Moon Echo.

Boom!

Manifested blood began to ooze out of the Blood Moon Echo, swirling around his arms like a serpent before seeping into his bloodstream. The moment it did, he was forced to suck in a deep breath and tilt his head skyward.

Rex was surprised by the power that surged into him—it was beyond his expectations.

A hundred times stronger than the Spellcaster Echo or the Dark Auctoritas Echo.

All because of his compatibility with the Blood Moon Echo was beyond perfect.

Everything around him splintered and collapsed inward—swallowed whole by the sheer pressure of his aura. As he finally lowered his head, a crimson sigil blazed to life on his brow—shaped like the blood moon itself.

It resembled the King Mark, yet this one was born from the Blood Moon Echo.

For a second, the world halted at a standstill.

Both sides basked under their own power, adjusting their minds to their forms.

And when the second ended, the two blasted forward.

“Royal Black Prince!!”

“Raaarghk!!”

Kaboom!!

Rex and Stelios collided with every ounce of their strength.

But to both of their surprise, they both got knocked back—putting their strength at about even.

And in the next second, the two clashed.

Everything around them crumbled as they collided a dozen times in a second, turning into beams of energy that were too fast for anyone below the Eternal Spirit rank to see. It was akin to watching to streaks of light moving.

One moment they were on the ground, and the next they were in the sky.

“Holy Spell: Heaven’s Eye!”

Stelios hurled himself skyward and opened his chest.

A concentrated sphere appeared at the center of his chest, and it fired a light plasma the size of a house.

Rex’s eyes stared at the scorching beam slamming to the ground, drilling a hole all the way through the entire rock formation. He was only given barely a second to think before his instincts screamed at him to move.

NGONGG!

In an instant, the beam tilted upward, grazing his elbow.

As he rolled aside, Rex’s gaze snapped to the impact site—the entire stone formation was sliced cleanly, and even the clouds overhead cleaved open along the beam’s path. It was a devastating spell that Stelios used against him for the first time.

Then, he looked down… and froze.

His elbow, which was grazed, was simply gone, disintegrated into nothing.

One direct hit from that would be devastating.

Rex’s Parasitic Regeneration skill ignited at once, ripping the surrounding energy into himself to quickly accelerate his regeneration with savage urgency. As his elbow regrew back in a frenzy, he extended his hand forward—finger curled like he was seizing the Archangel’s fate.

“Spirit Genesis: Inevitable Death.”

Swoosh!

Knowing exactly what would happen, Stelios furled his wings like a divine shield.

He knew the dimension would be locked, so assuming a defensive stance was his best course of action.

Red life energy reached him, but it couldn’t reach him directly.

It was a flaw that Stelios grasped for the Inevitable Death skill.

Even though the Law of Inevitability made him unable to avoid the Spirit Genesis, it doesn’t make the attack really inevitable. As long as he could assume a defensive position whenever Rex used that, there’s nothing he needs to be afraid of.

Sensing the space lock disappearing, Stelios burst upward.

But before he could launch another strike, Rex’s body suddenly disappeared like he had blinked away from reality. And then, in an instant, Rex materialized before him—like a nightmare stepping out of the void.

A hand clamped around Stelios’ throat the very instant he appeared, precise and deliberate.

His divine armor shielded every inch of his body, even his head, but his neck was exposed.

Someone could still reach into it like Rex was doing right now.

Rex had planned for this single point all along.

Stelios might’ve thought the Inevitable Death was ending, but it was still locking onto him.

“I’ve been wielding the Law of Inevitability for quite some time now,” Rex growled, fangs bared as he pulled Stelios closer. “Did you really think my mastery, my usage of it, would remain that shallow? You might’ve been watching me, but not everything is the same as it seemed.”

“Keuk—!” Stelios choked, eyes bulging as Rex’s grip tightened, crushing down with brutal finality.

Sparing no chances, Rex crushed Stelios’ throat.

But the moment he did, the runic magic circle behind Stelios made a mechanical sound.

Splash!

Rex’s eyes widened when both of his arms were severed completely, blood spewing everywhere.

And then, another knife burst forth, shooting straight into his stomach.

In the nick of time, one of his arms recovered in an instant and caught the tip of the massive knife.

Crash!

Rex slammed and bounced against the stone formation, knocking huge pieces away as he stumbled like a rag doll. He managed to avoid being stabbed by this knife that was different, more dangerous than the normal from how it was completely made of pure white.

Only when he looked down at his right palm did he realize that it was made of enchanted pure silver.

A stab from that knife would’ve been catastrophic for him.

Rapidly, his left arm begins to regenerate in a furious rush of flesh and sinew, forcing its way through the regeneration block radiating from Stelios’ halo. But the moment Rex lifted his gaze skyward, what greeted him was a storm of knives, thousands strong, screaming down at him like a metallic avlalanche.

He leaped backward in time, avoiding the barrage.

But then, his eyes snapped right and left when he saw two figures made of light flanking him.

One was the real Stelios, while the other was made entirely of light.

Rex clashed with the two Archangels, attacking the other and using the Aegis of Moon Sentinel to make company with the other.

Sparks flew with each clash.

His reaction time—and instincts were tested to the limit as the interval from each strike was narrower than a fraction of a second. One wrong move and he would be trapped—in a barrage of attacks, putting him at a disadvantage.

Sweats dripped from Stelios’ forehead while steam seeped out from Rex’s body.

Both were pushing against the burn.

Clang!!

Rex’s strike punched through the opening and slammed into the side of Stelios’ armor, the impact ringing like a cracked bell. He didn’t pause. His claws carved upward in a savage uppercut that launched Stelios into the sky.

A thin arc of blood whipped free from the archangel’s lips.

It was the first crimson mark Rex had forced out of him all battle.

But above, the heaven was already split open.

During their exchange earlier, Stelios had been preparing an attack, and now it was ready.

“You’re going to die now, Royal Black Prince! This is the end!!” Stelios raised both hands overhead. “Archangel Decree: Knives of Stelios! Knife of Judgment!”

Rex stared at the scene above and powered his original echo, “Blood Moon Genesis: Ravenous Maw of Magna!”
