Chapter 1904 Narnil
Chapter 1904 Narnil
Lex was so stunned he forgot to move when Eclipse told him to enter the course. Chastity belt of Narn?!?!
To date, that was the third Narn accessory he had heard of, and also the third one that contained a galaxy but… a chastity belt?
It was… it was unbelievable! A lot of the respect and admiration he had towards Narn suddenly started to fade.
“Who is this Narn?” Lex could not help but ask. “I’ve encountered a couple of his accessories before.”
“Not who, but what,” Eclipse corrected. “Narn is short for Narnil, a magical realm from back in the Primordial Age. A lot of stuff happened back then and… well, it’s best if I don’t tell you or instead of fainting you might just blow up. It’s crazy that you’ve encountered multiple accessories – that’s actually quite dangerous. The last time someone tried to collect multiple Narn equipment, even Dao Lords were killed as a consequence. Nowadays, most don’t dare to collect more than one.”
Lex nodded once he got over the bout of dizziness. So collecting a single piece of equipment wasn’t a bad idea, it would only get bad after one. Not that it mattered – he was not interested in a chastity belt, and he already knew what prize he was going to ask for anyway.
Without further ado, he hopped through the opening in the crystal surface of the mountain range that Eclipse pointed at.
He had glanced at the path from the entry point all the way to the lake, his final destination. The moment he fell through the crystal, the first thing he attempted was teleportation. Why walk when you can teleport? The answer, as it turned out, was because Primordial space was infested with space monsters!
As soon as Lex tried to select a destination for his teleportation, space seemed to open up all around him, releasing monsters! The monsters looked like sharks except that segments of their body looked metallic, while others looked like they were made of stone, while others still were made of random third material.
A dozen appeared out of nowhere, swam through space like they were in water, and attacked Lex!
The Space-Sharks, as Lex aptly named them, each radiated a powerful, Primordial aura that made it tough to determine their actual cultivation realm, not that it mattered. Just like what Eclipse said, the only thing that mattered was that they were strong!
Lex instantly understood what happened. By touching upon the space laws, he released a beacon announcing his location, opening himself to be attacked by the Space-Sharks. He didn’t know if more would appear if he tried to teleport again, and he didn’t have time to figure it out.
Unwilling to get bit, Lex punched the nearest shark, holding nothing back. Truthfully, he almost expected that his attack would fail miserably based on his experience ever since he arrived in the garden. Fortunately, that is not what happened.
The shark was knocked aside, though the skin on Lex’s hand also tore open. It wasn’t that Lex’s body was weak so he got injured, but that the body of the sharks seemed to be made of constantly churning fragments of space. It was only because he was so strong that he merely tore his skin- anyone else would have had their entire body sucked in on the slightest contact!
Lex’s eyes sparkled as he realized what happened. His developing Dao body was not without a certain strength of its own, and his tribulation seemed to have added a Primordial element to him as well. Although he was neither fully a Primordial, nor did he have a complete Dao body, even the fragmented presence of the two gave him a unique edge!
With his strength proven, Lex had no more reservations. His hesitation turned into resolution as he unleashed Domination on his surroundings. Fighting with his bare body was for scrubs and Earth Immortals – a Heaven Immortal had to fight with style!
His Primordial tinged aura was not as effective on the sharks as it would be on others, but that was never Lex’s goal to begin with. As soon as they made contact with his aura, a new string of karma connected them all.
The Karmic bead appeared in Lex’s hand, which he dissolved in his aura, strengthening his command over the aura connecting him and the sharks. Then… he unleashed Supremacy.
The laws of the garden were too foreign and too powerful for Lex to affect for now, so instead he established a basic karmic connection strong enough to act as a conduit, and through that he established Supremacy over them.
Yet unlike his brutish ways of yore, he did not give them single, strong commands. The sharks themselves were too powerful for that. Instead, he implemented his Supremacy with finesse.
He altered their senses and muddled their minds, allowing them to act with free will otherwise.
“Oh wow, that’s so cool!” Eclipse exclaimed as she saw Lex just standing there with his arms crossed, surrounded by Space-Sharks that were attacking and shredding each other to pieces.
“Relational laws,” Lex muttered as he thought of more complex ways in which he could manipulate laws. All his existing Lawcrafts needed to be upgraded, and he needed to come up with new ones as well.
Studying the Primordial Garden was a good source of inspiration, so he activated the ability of his left eye, and entered into the Flow state. His left eye, which could see through everything, had been enhanced, allowing him to glimpse not only the secrets of the laws around him, but the laws that the sharks used as well.
But observation was not enough – the eye granted him understanding! Meanwhile, the Flow state, which had always been so impressive, suddenly felt lackluster. Sure, it was helping him understand laws, but it suddenly couldn’t even keep up with his own natural ability to see through things.
It couldn’t be helped – Flow was an ability that came from his ancestor, so naturally the ability had a certain peak. In that case, he would need to improve Flow himself as well.
While Lex utilized Supremacy, and exacted his will upon the sharks, he got a new idea. Instead of just killing them all, he could consider taming one as well. If he did that, he might have an easier time reaching his destination. He thought about it for a second, and then changed his mind. He would tame the shark, yes, but he gave up on trying to find an easy way to reach his goal. Eclipse may have been acting simple and straightforward, but there was no way she was simpleminded! She had no doubt already considered all aspects of this place, or else how could she call it an obstacle course?
But he was not deterred. The scene around him was proof that he was not so weak. This obstacle course could be just the thing he needed to familiarise himself with his abilities!
