Stepping through it, in an instant, I found myself in the alley nearby to our usual meeting spot.

After I entered the coffee shop, the soothing aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped me as I made my way to the counter to place an order. A quick decision led me to choose my usual, a latte to kickstart the conversation.

My attention wandered to the window beside me, where the bustling street outside. And then, a familiar figure came into view.

Larry approached the coffee shop. His left leg clearly wounded due the recent battle. Despite the evident strain, a beaming smile graced his face.

Waving enthusiastically, Larry made his way inside. His entrance injected a burst of energy into the coffee shop, the atmosphere shifting with his arrival.

Without awaiting my response, he hastened toward my table, his grin undiminished.

Larry's grin widened as he settled into the chair, a noticeable wince accompanying the motion.

The marks of his recent skirmish were etched on his features.

"Yo! Glad to see you safe and sound," he exclaimed, his happiness infectious.

"That should be my line," I responded with a huff. My eyes lingered on the visible signs of his struggle. "What happened to you? Have you got into a fight?" I inquired.

It was painful for me since I knew what happened to him yet I couldn't tell him directly.

Larry... He deserved to know the truth. Yet, revealing my status as the great demon, a prince of darkness, could unleash consequences upon him.

On the other hand, I was in a dilemma. Telling him my identity could put him in danger. Demons and humans could target him. Unlike my partners or servants where my system could tell me when they were in danger. There was no announcement that could warn me in case he was in danger.
