Chapter 2362: Spies from the The Tenth Empyrean World
Markin showed a radiant, charming smile as he answered Cain’s question and expressed his desires. "I only wish to protect my home. I harbor no ill will, nor any desire to harm anyone here."
Kaizer did not smile. It was clear he was still simmering from the many concessions he had been forced to accept, yet he gave a firm nod. "My goal is to secure my kingdom. I have no desire to harm the people of this alliance."
Immediately, the eyes of Cipher and the others turned toward Cain, waiting for his response.
Tension arose as the bright scarlet eyes of the Scarlet King shone, focusing on the duo, as if it could pierce to the core of their souls and minds.
When the group saw him smile faintly and nod, their hearts eased slightly.
They still did not trust the duo—not truly—but knowing they were not actively planning to stab them in the back was an important step forward.
"Now that this matter is settled," Cain said calmly, "we should move on to our battle plans."
His words drew everyone’s attention. The room grew quiet as Cain began outlining their course of action.
"Destroying the World of the Root in a single campaign is beyond our current power," he said plainly. "If we are trapped inside the world while the Wall of Fire and Flesh remains at full strength, many of us will die."
The super powerhouses present nodded in agreement. The Wall of Fire and Flesh was an overwhelmingly powerful barrier—one that prevented entry and escape alike once sealed.
"However," the Scarlet King continued, "inaction is not an option either. Even if the forces of the Root remain contained within their world for now, that will not last forever."
His eyes sharpened.
"I am certain they are plotting, just as they did with the portal to the Emptiness."
The atmosphere in the chamber grew heavy and tense. Everyone present understood the implication. Waiting too long could allow the Root to prepare something far worse.
They could not allow the destiny of the Abyssalcrown Empyrean World to fall upon their homes.
"So we must act," Cain said. "The best next move is to weaken the World of the Root itself."
His Chaos-infused eyes glowed with resolve.
"I will use my Chaos Arts to carve a hole through the Wall of Fire and Flesh. Then I will march in alongside you. I will handle Robuke. You will face the rest."
A vision formed clearly in his mind as he spoke, and that certainty bled into his voice.
"Our goal is not to conquer the world in one strike," Cain said. "It is to wound it—to harm its life force and its psychic energy. It will be a long campaign, but as we burn it piece by piece, the World of the Root will have less power to reforge its champions."
He paused briefly.
"Eventually, it will be forced to choose: abandon its powerhouses or burn its own essence to sustain them. Either way, we win."
Cain fell silent, allowing the others time to voice objections or propose alterations. The powerhouses seated at the table exchanged glances, but in the end, none spoke.
The plan was simple.
Dangerous, yes—but it offered a clear path forward and a genuine chance at victory.
"Then it is decided," Cain said. "We will rest for two weeks. That should be enough time to recover from the wounds of the previous clash."
His eyes sharpened once more.
"We achieved victory last time without casualties. Do not let that breed complacency. The Root is not an enemy to underestimate. Many things could change when we clash again."
He swept his gaze across the room.
"Keep your forces alert at all times. Prepare for any surprise."
Amara, Cipher, Zephirax, Arkam, and Uriel all nodded. Each clasped their hands respectfully toward the Scarlet King before leaving their seats to return to their people.
"This has been an extremely enlightening event, Scarlet King," Markin said, bowing deeply. "I will return home immediately to fulfill the demands you have given."
With a confident smile, he stepped through the golden portal.
Kaizer followed soon after, his expression solemn as he offered a short bow. "We will gather the evil cultivators and the requested treasures as quickly as possible."
With that, the Atrox ruler returned to his world.
Soon, only Cain and Anark remained in the chamber.
The eyes of the True Primordial of the Void remained fixed on the portals leading to the Empyrean Worlds of Markin and Kaizer. A frown slowly formed on his face.
"My instincts tell me something is wrong with those two," Anark said quietly.
Cain smiled faintly at his words and nodded.
"If I am not mistaken, they are spies."
Anark’s eyes widened, his aura sharpening instantly.
"Did your powers detect ill will or malicious intent?"
Cain shook his head.
"No. Through the Power of Chaos and the Flow, I detected only a genuine desire to protect their homes. There was no hostility toward us."
Anark’s expression turned confused, but Cain continued calmly.
"The emotional spectrum of a being is layered and complex. Bursts of anger or resentment can appear even in loyal individuals—especially after humiliation or threats."
His gaze darkened slightly.
"Even after I humiliated them and implied I could take their worlds by force, I sensed no ill will. That leaves two possibilities. Either they are saints or..."
Anark finished the thought grimly. "They possess a way to hide their true intentions from your sight."
The True Primordial of the Void’s eyes narrowed, a somber expression crossing his face.
"The Root?"
It was the most obvious suspect. If anyone wished to spy on them, it would be their greatest enemy.
Cain shook his head again.
"Robuke, Radagon, and the others are extraordinarily powerful," he said. "But none of them can hide from my perception. There is only one force that has managed that so far."
Realization dawned in Anark’s eyes. His fists clenched.
"The Tenth Empyrean World."
