Chapter 1855: Demon Bar

Chapter 1855: Demon Bar

The moment Arad showed there, all of the demons knew their end was near, especially the boar demoness. She had just seen him in the battlefield, and then felt the echoes of his battle with whatever that monster was. This one standing in front of her isn’t something she can fight; she might just die if he glared at her again.

Arad looked at his hand and then showed them the bloodied brain. “This thing was an abomination. Whoever fought and defeated it in the past didn’t finish the job. It hid its brain deep underground and was slowly releasing the miasma to kill demons and use their flesh to construct a new body.”

Arad absorbed the brain into his stomach and cleaned the blood with a single burst of his void. “Now, you look a bit interesting. Do you happen, perhaps, to know where I can find the Succubi kingdom? That one shrouded in shadows?”

“Huh?!” She gasped, unable to even speak or breathe properly. First, just standing in front of him made her, who was massive, feel small, weak, and insignificant. The jacked body and sheer size, the tar-like oppressive magic, and whatever that horrifying aura around him was, all of those only helped to make every demon aware that one wrong move, and their head would fly.

“You are the same, right? Guiding people there like… Guh, I’ll just get him here.” Arad waved his hand, waited a second, then from his palm, a column of pure void burst forth, causing all of the demons to flinch.

Leathery red wings, long horns, flowing golden hair, a beautiful face, and a mischievous smirk, when Abel walked out of the void, no one could mistake his devilish nature.

“Arad, this place…” Abel was about to speak, but the words got stuck in his throat as he almost shat himself. Every single demon in this place, and there were over thirty of them, is a terror that could level an entire kingdom. They might not be demon lord level, but any one of them could kill ten of Abel with ease.

The only two that didn’t scare him were Arad and the boar demoness, which caused him to blink. “Arad, I might not be able to help in a fight here. She could.” He pointed at the boar demoness.

“A fight?” Arad lifted an eyebrow. “No one is fighting anyone here.”

After a few seconds of silence, the boar demoness gasped. “Abel? What are you doing here? Do you know him?”

Abel looked between her and Arad, then took a deep breath, smelling something foul. He ignored the smell and sighed. “She is Loviara, like me; she is a pimp. In fact, she is one of my contacts in the abyss.”

He then looked at Loviara. “This is Arad, my brother-in-law. I know he looks scary and intimidating at first, but he is really gentle and sweet, or that is at least what my sister said.”

Loviara took a few long moments to gather her thoughts and finally took a deep breath, felt utterly embarrassed, and excused herself for a few minutes to clean herself. Her pants were heavy from earlier, and she had to change them.

Arad and Abel took that time to speak, and the still-horrified demons sheepishly served them drinks. “What brought you here? And to meet Loviara no less. Did my sister get too boring that you’re looking for something spicy?”

Arad chuckled. “More like looking for a lost place. I was asking around about the Succubi Kingdom. She had traces of your magic on her soul, so I called you.”

Abel looked at him, “Loviara? Probably since we played a bit a while ago. That doesn’t matter now; what matters is that you’re looking for that place. Can I assume that you’re in a hurry?”

“Not really, but there were a few bad omens lately. Mira been looking a bit reserved or depressed, the others are worried about her, and some might even say she could give an early birth.” As Arad took a sip, Abel swirled his drink.

“By the time water spills, it’ll already be too late to move.” Abel took a long sip, then looked to the side. “But that place is all but hidden and mysterious. I had Loviara look into it because I wanted to hire some NICE ladies, but nothing came out.”

“I even asked Thalia, and she didn’t know.” Arad sighed, and Abel stared at him with a raised eyebrow.

“Thalia? Who is she? A new woman I never heard of?”

“The Demon Lord of Lust. She was born and raised in that kingdom like Lola, but even she didn’t know of a reliable way to get there. She said that the mother of all life has trials all over the abyss, and one must pass them to be allowed in.” He pointed at the shelves behind the bartender demon. “Give me your strongest. At this size, it won’t even affect me.”

The demon jumped in place, gasped, then turned around with a scared face. He looked through the shelves and pulled a jet-black bottle of a strange liquor. He stared at the bottle with a worried face, then looked back at Arad while forcing a smile.

“This is Bloody Gasp, one sip and you’ll gasp and cough blood. A mixture of high-grade alcohol and several deadly poisons. In what would you like it diluted?” He pointed at several barrels behind him. “Blood, we’ve got it from all races. We even got cursed water, and camel piss, a rare one.”

^The hell is a camel?^ Arad extended his hand forward. “Just hand me the bottle.”

The scared bartender demon looked at the bottle, then slowly handed it to Arad with a pale face. “Sir…?”

Arad grabbed the bottle, flipped it upside down, then grabbed the bottom in his palm. With a firm grip and a few sharp nails, he twisted his wrist and cut the bottom cleanly open. As the demons all stared, Arad brought the bottle to his lips and gulped it down in a single breath.

“It’s a bit refreshing, but as I thought… could I have several barrels?” The demon almost collapsed. “We… only had one bottle in this entire settlement.”

Abel punched Arad on the side. “Yo, one drop of that should kill a hundred dragons. There aren’t that many who can survive the mixture of poisons.”

The stronger someone gets, the more durable and resistant their bodies become, making pain less potent, and poisons less effective, including alcohol.

That’s why Arad finds it hard to get drunk, and that is why someone like Merida prefers a bit more roughness and violence in bed, since the stronger she gets, the less sensitive her body gets.

Arad sighed and looked at the bartender. “Don’t worry, I’ll pay for it. And, find me a bit more if you can. He can deliver them.”

Abel shrugged. “Fine, I’ll do that. But tell me about that Demon Lord of Lust. Like, what kind of trial does she know about to reach that kingdom?”

Arad looked at him. “It changes, but the subject is always the same, life and death.” Arad looked at the table. “So, I came here to look through one of the deadliest places in the abyss.”

It was then that Loviara returned, having taken a shower and changed into a new set of clothes. She even combed her hair and made herself look a bit more presentable. She sat, several seats away from Abel, and certainly away from Arad, then took a deep breath.

Abel was the first to speak, and he looked at her with a mocking smile. “What a shitty situation you got yourself in, don’t you think?”
