The dragon's harem

Chapter 1821: Aella’s Crowning Party III

Chapter 1821: Aella’s Crowning Party III

The noble woman shook her head. “No, I won’t dare argue. If you think it’s a good idea, then it must be.” She then stood, looked at Ganta one time, and then turned to leave.

While talking with Ganta is one thing, talking with Arad was a whole can of worms that she didn’t want to sink her hands into. One wrong word, one wrong gesture, and one wrong glance could land her in boiling hot waters.

Ganta gave the woman a single glance and turned to Arad. “You were listening?”

“Not by choice, my ears are just that good.” He smiled. “You don’t have to worry about your kingdom. I got a plan that might work, but we’ll still need to consult Isdis and Roberta.”

The two of them walked back to the throne, where Ganta’s empty seat awaited her. There was a total of five thrones, one for Arad, one for Aella, one for Ganta, one for Lexi, and lastly a tiny throne suitable for dolls, which Ganta presumed belonged to Zephyr.

But in the next moment, she was surprised to see a complete stranger fly out of the back rooms and take a seat. A tiny, little blond fairy with a mean face, onyx eyes, and a strangely mismatched pair of wings, one like those of fairies, and one similar to those of ravens.

“Never seen you here before.” Ganta asked her, and the fairy shrugged. “I never saw you around before. I’m Kaede, daughter of Gabriel, the king of the half-fallen angels.” She leaned her face on her arm. “As you can see, I’m a half-fallen angel, half wind fairy.”

Ganta smiled as she sat down. “I’m Ganta, daughter of the chieftain of the Rajhan Apes. We’re a reclusive race of ape people who can eat dragons and gain temporary power from that.” She looked up, scratching her chin as she gazed into the ceiling and started thinking. “Now that I’m thinking about it, I think we’re descendants of the monkey beastpeople in the Beastlands.”

All of the beast people were either descendants of divine beasts like Fenrir or descendants of the Rakshasa of hell, and they were in a similar situation to the half-fallen angels and half-angels. Untold eons ago, Humanoids saw those divine and hellish beings and thought it would be smart to make a family with them.

Ganta’s theory about the origin of her people was correct, but not fully. The monkey people are descendants of a divine beast, the Divine Monkey King, and the Rajhan are descendants of the Cursed Rakshasa Rajhan, who was a powerful devil gorilla. The reason they can eat dragons and gain power is that Tiamat blessed Rajhan with that power in the past, and it was passed down his bloodline.

Kaede smiled. “So, we both might have hellish blood in us.” She flew and sat on Ganta’s head, “How about it? Want to team up for a while?”

“Careful, sometimes magic sparks from my horns. Don’t touch them or you could get burned.” Ganta reached up and grabbed Kaede, getting her out of her hair. “And you want us to team up? For what?”

“For what? To survive, of course. Do you think Arad’s harem here is going to be a nice heaven? We’re going to have a lot of fierce competition, and we’ll get pushed back if we don’t support each other and work hand in hand.”

She smiled, “For example, the wind brought some news to my ear earlier. Your kingdom fell to a civil war and would need a lot of funds to rise. You did ask Arad this time, but you can’t always rely on his money; you might start to look like a burden.” She flew up and looked directly at Ganta’s eyes. “I pay for yours now, you pay for mine later. That way, we can function better and be less taxing.”

Ganta’s eyes brightened. “You’re right, even if we’re separate, we’re all wives under the same roof. We can get work done a lot quicker and easier if we work together! I scratch your back, you scratch mine! Ape alone is weak; apes together are strong!!”

“What are you two about?” Aella sighed behind them, “We’re all working together to help each other.”

Zephyr then appeared on Aella’s head. “She is right, Queen Aella, Concubine Ganta, Mistress Lexi, and Mistress Kaede.” She then threw a glare at Kaede. “Hoi, why did you refuse being a Concubine and want to become a Mistress? Aren’t you getting the ranking backward?”

Kaede glared at Zephyr. “Mind your own business! Being a Mistress is just good enough to get me all the good perks without the heavy responsibilities. Besides, there isn’t that much difference between them anyway.”

She flew toward Zephyr and pointed at her face. “Then, riddle me this. Why aren’t you even a Mistress? Don’t you already have a daughter with him?”

Zephyr smiled. “Well, to mess with Aella, and… I kind of don’t want my father storming the mortal world.” She looked away, “He is Focalor, the sultan of the Elemental Plane of Air and the evil Djinn of destructive wind.”

Inside her head, Zephyr was panicking a bit. ^Besides, father protected and even married an abomination, and I’m their daughter. The last thing I want is him showing up and AO snuffing him out alongside mother.^

AO absolutely hated the abominations, and her father’s actions might draw his ire. Until Zephyr is certain that Arad won’t just kill him on sight, she won’t let the two of them meet. And even without that, her father is an extremely proud, egotistical, and outspoken man. He is forever young, forever powerful, and might just clash with Arad only based on their personality.

Besides, her father can grant wishes, and extreme wishes at that. He is a far stronger wind user than she, and that is saying more than a few words about his power.

“Listen, you don’t want to meet him. No one should meet him; it is far too dangerous.” She looked around, approached, and whispered to Kaede. “He is a Djinn, and loves to grant wishes to people. The problem is that he doesn’t care how the backlash hurts those people. One woman asked him for infinite money; she got it, but ended up serving the rich devils of hell with her body. There is also a man who asked for the revival of his dead wife, and my father did it, only to take her as one of his many mistresses and leave the man for insanity.”

“So he isn’t called an evil djinn for no reason.” Kaede nodded and started thinking together with Zephyr. “It explains a lot about you.”

“Oi! I’m not like him. But I understand he is evil, but only when you go out of your way and ask him for a wish. Just don’t meet or talk to him, and he won’t bother you. In fact, besides causing mayhem with granting wishes, he is a pretty good ruler and chill man.”

“Your father?” Arad looked at them, “I wish I could see him, at least once.”

Zephyr immediately glared at him. “No! You don’t! Father is like…. Take your power, my wind magic, and Abel’s sick mentality, then make him able to grant wishes and you got a true nightmare to deal with.”

She flew to Arad’s face, grabbed him by the eyelids, and glared right into his eyes. “Avoid him like the plague.”
