The Damned Demon

Chapter 915: Together, We Will Find Our Way

Chapter 915: Together, We Will Find Our Way

Returning from the Damned Dimension, Asher stood tall amidst the fading echoes of his power. The swirling dark green flames that wreathed him began to gently subside, snuffed away like embers scattered by a tender wind.

Slowly, his skeletal visage faded, replaced by rapidly regenerating flesh and skin. The eerie bones and magma-like flames retreated, giving way to the familiar, devilishly handsome form he’d always possessed.

His dove-gray skin glistened under the gentle crimson light piercing through the clouds, smooth and flawless as the surface of an untouched gemstone. Long strands of moonwhite hair cascaded elegantly down his broad shoulders, framing a visage that could steal breaths and quicken hearts. His dark yellow eyes—piercing, intense, yet gentle—opened fully, their gaze falling upon the world he had saved. Pointed ears perked subtly beneath his flowing hair, adding to his otherworldly charm, and the royal black robe adorned with intricate, dark dragon embroidery gave him an aura befitting a king.

His eyes softened as they fell upon Rowena and his loved ones, feeling a deep sense of warmth.

A quiet smile curled gently at his lips. “Today is a new beginning for all of us,” he declared softly yet firmly, his voice carrying a reassuring warmth. “Those who threatened to destroy our worlds are no more.”

Rowena’s crimson eyes shimmered with emotion as she nodded, relief painting her graceful features. At last, his soul was no longer burdened by the past. That was what mattered to her more the most.

Ravina giggled and clapped excitedly from her mother’s embrace, bouncing slightly with overflowing joy.

“Papa saved us!” Ravina called out brightly, her eyes sparkling like golden suns. Asher’s heart melted hearing her voice filled with pure joy.

“He indeed saved us all,” Isola said with a wistful smile as she held Rowena and Ravina’s hand, feeling that everything they went through and all the sacrifices weren’t in vain.

Nearby, Rachel clung tightly to Amelia and Yui, overcome by raw emotions. Her tears flowed freely—tears of relief, happiness, and something deeper.

Her radiant blue eyes gazed upon Asher with such warmth and love, memories of Cedric flooding her heart. How could she have missed it before? He was right there, in front of her all along. Fate truly has strange ways, she thought with bittersweet warmth, but I’m glad it led me back to you. No wonder she could never bring herself to hate him but instead fell in love with him all over again.

Amelia squeezed Rachel’s shoulder softly, offering silent comfort, while Yui smiled brightly, relieved they had survived and could finally heal together. Maybe Emiko’s soul could finally rest in peace.

Grace stood quietly nearby, her warm gaze fixed upon Asher. Pride shone brightly in her eyes, a womanly affection clear in her gaze. Naida wore a gentle smile, her gaze soft yet filled with immense love and respect. Yet there was a hint of heaviness still lingering within her eyes as she exchanged glances with Layla.

Even Rebecca found herself frozen in awe, her heart racing as her eyes traced Asher’s magnificent features. Heat spread through her, leaving her cheeks flushed as she bit her lip, almost hypnotized by the man whom she had always wanted dead. If only she knew things would end up like this…then she would have snatched him away so much early on!

Layla stood gracefully, her crimson eyes glowing with pride and satisfaction, her regal presence commanding respect and admiration.

Around them, Luna, Lupus, and countless werewolves had gathered, their gazes brimming with awe, relief, and reverence.

Hundreds of hunters, initially sent here by the Judge and unsure of their place here, now stood with newfound respect and gratitude, humbled by the demon king who had risked everything to save both their worlds.

Sensing their emotions, Asher raised his voice again, projecting calm authority and sincere compassion. “But we have all lost something dear to us. Only time can heal our wounds. To rebuild, we can no longer remain divided over insignificant things. Only together can we survive whatever fate throws at us. And that means,” he paused meaningfully, his eyes sweeping over the diverse crowd, “both us demons and humans must set aside past hatred and start anew. As someone who has stood on both sides, I know it’s the only way.”

Layla gracefully stepped forward, her elegant gown flowing gently behind her. She turned, addressing the diverse crowd gathered before them, her voice calm yet resolute. “My son-in-law is right. We’ve fought each other for centuries, manipulated by angels and devils preying upon our greed and desperation. But we have to be strong enough not to succumb to their temptations. We don’t need to depend on them to survive. Instead, we will find our own way—together.”

Asher and Layla exchanged subtle, knowing smiles, their shared understanding clear. Luna, feeling a surge of hope and unity, lifted her arm boldly, declaring, “Together!”

Rowena raised her voice next, determination and warmth infusing her words, “Together!”

Ravina giggled, waving her small hand enthusiastically, shouting with pure-hearted joy, “Together!”

Following their lead, demons, humans, and werewolves alike echoed the powerful sentiment, their voices rising in unified harmony. “Together!” The echoes reverberated across the land, promising a future of solidarity and peace.

Layla turned gracefully back to Asher, her crimson gaze soft yet filled with pride. “I’ve never been more proud of a man,” she admitted warmly.

Asher smiled respectfully, his expression humble yet genuine. “I’m glad I didn’t disappoint you, mother-in-law.”

Layla chuckled softly, a rare warmth dancing in her eyes. “Oh, I always knew you’d never disappoint me. Why else would I go through all that to make this day possible? Now go back to your women. They’ve been holding their breath for far too long.”

“Thank you for everything you did…” Nodding respectfully, Asher turned, his eyes falling upon Rowena and the women who stood beside her. They gazed back expectantly, eyes shimmering with barely restrained emotion.

“Ash…” Rowena whispered softly, her voice filled with longing and warmth. Ravina burst forth from her mother’s embrace, squealing happily, “Papa!”

With open arms, Asher invited them warmly, his voice gentle and filled with tenderness. “Come here, all of you.”

Rowena moved forward first, swiftly embracing him, pressing her forehead gently against his chest, inhaling the comforting scent she had missed so much. Ravina giggled gleefully, her tiny arms tightly encircling Asher’s neck.

Isola, Naida, Rachel, Amelia, and Yui followed suit, smiles blooming upon their faces as they joined the embrace, hearts melting together into one. Their collective warmth radiated love and belonging, healing the wounds each of them had silently endured.

Rebecca hesitated slightly, feeling oddly shy despite her usual confident demeanor. She glanced away briefly, biting her lip anxiously, uncertain how to approach, especially with all his women flocking around. What if they mock her?

Sensing her hesitation, Asher turned his gaze gently toward her, a playful smirk curling his lips. “I meant you as well, Rebecca. Or are you just that shy before me?”

“Hmph, shy my foot!” she scoffed, though her flushed cheeks betrayed her true feelings. With a mock scowl, she stepped swiftly forward, her heart racing wildly as she finally surrendered to the warmth, melting into their comforting embrace.

Everyone gathered, especially the bloodburners including Silvan, Jael, Seron all couldn’t help but smile warmly seeing such a warm and beautiful sight…a sight that filled their hearts with hope that a new and hopeful future awaited them.
