You don’t have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.

America’s old-timers were completely blown away.

Within a few days, Hillel had acquired a significant amount of assets under his name, especially a bank specially opened for him to help him convert dollars into precious metals, with tons of gold being stuffed in.

Gold was nothing rare to Hillel. He could casually find any Planet in the Milky Way Galaxy, mine down to a certain depth, and it would all be this stuff.

There was plenty of it even just on Earth.

There was no need to run to other Planets.

The tax department was even more helpful, directly handing over an internal memo titled "Permanent Tax Exemption".

As for how long this thing was valid, it would probably remain valid as long as Hillel lived.

To state a popular fact that everyone knew, up until now, not a single Viltrumite had ever died of old age, so Hillel’s lifespan was vastly longer than the tax department’s.

To Hillel, money was purely for fun.

"Sir."

Holding a tablet, Ashley pushed the door open and walked in.

Her complexion looked exceptionally pale, and her breathing was somewhat hurried.

"Your endocrine system is seriously out of whack, Ashley, your heart also has some issues, and look what’s happened to your kidneys and liver?"

With a flick of Hillel’s finger, those minor hidden ailments inside Ashley’s body were taken care of.

Ashley only felt her whole body become immensely relaxed.

It was like returning to when she was twenty years old, back in her college partying days!

The current her could take on ten people!

"Sir, what happened?"

Ashley touched her hair, which was as lush as a bush.

"I just conditioned your body for you. Consider it a small employee benefit. Say thank you!"

"Uh, should I say thank you right here?"

Ashley tucked her hair behind her ear.

"What? No!" Hillel looked shocked.

He wasn’t in a rush to save up ability points; there was no need to resort to such extreme methods.

"Fine, sir, something happened! Something big happened!" Interrupted by Hillel, Ashley only now remembered the main point.

She hurried over to Hillel and handed the tablet over.

"Please take a look at this."

Hillel took the tablet.

On the screen was some street surveillance footage. The image was almost blurred into pixels, but one could vaguely make out the man standing in the middle of the street.

He was wearing a simple hospital gown, with a robust figure and a facial structure that possessed a rather charming kind of handsome look.

When he was young, he must have been a tender, attractive young tough guy.

This fellow was standing in the middle of the street when, for some reason, he suddenly squatted down on the ground, and then the entire screen lit up.

According to videos taken later by various residents, the entire street, along with many citizens and vehicles that couldn’t react in time, and even the buildings, were caught in the explosion.

This destructive power was quite high.

...

Vought Tower upper floors.

Homelander stared at the image on the tablet.

"Why are you showing me this? A runaway Supe, just send someone over to take him down!"

Clara stood to the side with a very complicated expression. "No, he is not an ordinary Supe."

"That is Soldier Boy, once one of the most powerful Supes on Earth! Between us... there is some relation!"

Only then did Homelander turn his face, his expression appearing somewhat at a loss.

"Who?"

"Soldier Boy, Benjamin, one of the early ones who received the original Compound V injection and successfully survived..."

"I fucking know who Soldier Boy is! Please stop talking nonsense to me!! That damn old antique should have turned to ash by now, why is he still alive?"

Homelander subconsciously felt threatened.

A once-strongest Supe reappearing, and seemingly possessing new abilities as well.

This made him somewhat panicked.

Clara wasn’t doing much better.

"Trash! Trash among trash!! There is never a shortage of sycophants around me, but among these people, they are either low in intelligence or full of calculations, fuck you!!"

Homelander crashed through the window and flew towards the upper floors, where he saw Hillel’s figure.

Crash!

The floor-to-ceiling window was smashed to pieces by brute force, and Homelander charged in from the outside just like a complete idiot.

Hillel didn’t even raise his head.

"John, can’t you fucking knock? This Vought Tower is already ruined to the core, and you’re still here making trouble."

Homelander had no mind to banter with him.

"Guardian... Soldier Boy, he is still alive, he is back!"

"If he’s back, send him to a nursing home. Vought doesn’t feed idlers."

Hillel looked indifferent.

"Didn’t you watch the news? That guy blew up an entire intersection, this is a terrorist! You should go tear him to pieces!!"

Homelander, that is literally your dad!

Do you have to be so cold-hearted?

Hillel raised his hand to interrupt; Homelander’s spit was practically about to spray onto his face.

"I’m telling you, John, why are you acting like a Chihuahua? The guy hasn’t even made a move against you yet, and you’re already hissing? Do you have any sense of composure and calmness at all?"

Homelander: "..."

"Isn’t he just Soldier Boy? A dead man who just crawled out of his grave, he can’t even take on an ad for a cup right now, what the hell are you afraid of?"

Hillel slowly stood up and floated around Homelander twice.

"Look at you, this face is whiter than a sheet of paper. Come, come, let me check if your pants are wet too. Do you want me to ask Annie to buy you a couple of feminine hygiene products?"

"The strongest Supe in all of America, scared shitless by an old antique?"

"Go home, kid, Ryan is even better than you!"

Homelander opened his mouth a few times, but was stubbornly suppressed right back by Hillel’s rapid-fire chatter.

Besides, he had no pride left to speak anyway.

When he had trouble he came to find his good brother, and when he had no trouble he came to cause annoyance for his good brother. The little moves Stormfront had been pulling lately had already severely provoked The Guardian.

So he was acting like a total coward right now.

He obediently stood to the side, like a primary school student being scolded.

"Instead of gossiping away, you might as well go back and train that pathetic ability of yours. Your Heat Vision can’t even cut through a meteor; do you even deserve to be called Homelander?"

"Are you getting old, and your kidneys are overdrawn?"

"You’re so useless! To think I even dragged you along to fight crime, but you fail to deliver even when given the chance!!"

"You... that’s enough."

Homelander’s face flushed red.

Hillel had no intention of letting Homelander off. "To tell you the truth, that foot-sucking boy, I think he’s even better than you. You are simply pathetic!"

"You... you’re a complete disaster!!"

"If someone curses at you a few times today, you light up their sky lantern. Tomorrow if someone posts a meme of you online, are you going to sentence them to prison too??"

"Huh? Speak! Are you mute? Look me in the eyes!!"

The more Hillel talked, the angrier he became. Looking at Homelander’s annoying face, a nameless fire surged straight up.

"Sigh, I really fucking want to kick you!"

As he spoke, he made a motion as if to raise his leg.

Homelander was so scared he retreated a couple of steps in succession.

"Seriously, John, you literally act like you have Down syndrome!" (Just bashing Homelander, no intention to insult Down syndrome)

Hillel imitated an "aba aba" expression, leaving Homelander holding it in with an old, flushed red face.
