Chapter 1130 - 1070: Romance Exposed (Part 1)
"So, you have to love me the most."
Adrian Desmond took the opportunity to elevate his status in Sienna Johnson’s heart, especially after Sheehan was born, Adrian’s rank dropped down once again.
"Yeah, I love you the most! Out of everyone in the world, I love you the most!"
"That’s more like it."
Adrian was completely charmed by Sienna, finding that even the baby in Sienna’s belly wasn’t that annoying anymore.
"I hope these are twins," Adrian said.
If they were twins, it would make four children, and Sienna should be satisfied.
"I hope so too. Hopefully, it’s a boy and a girl. But, whatever it is, it’s fine."
Sienna was very hopeful about the baby in her belly. Now that her mind was at ease, the smile on Sienna’s face was as bright as the morning sun.
"Does your family have a history of having twins?" Sienna asked.
"Our family has always been a single lineage. By the time my father had me and my sister, it was already a miracle. If you have twins this time, my family will have the most children.
If my grandfather and father were still alive, they’d probably be overjoyed."
"A thriving family brings prosperity. Both your family and mine have too few people. I hope our two families can be prosperous."
Adrian didn’t have the same belief as Orientans that the more children, the more blessings, and said dismissively, "Fine, I’ll ask Sheehan to have more in the future."
"Oh, by the way, why are you against Samara marrying Noah Phillips? You’ve always been someone who doesn’t like to meddle."
As soon as the Phillips Family brought it up, Adrian fiercely opposed it, which seemed very strange.
"Can I not answer that?" Adrian asked uncomfortably.
"If you don’t answer, I’ll just have to think about it myself..."
"No... please don’t think about it yourself." If she started imagining things, who knows what kind of terrifying conclusions she’d come to.
"I don’t want to be brothers-in-law with Noah!" It was both an excuse and part of the reason.
"Just because of that?"
Adrian didn’t dare look at her, burying his head in her neck and softly responded with a hum.
Sienna fearfully said, "You and Samara scared me earlier."
"It’s you overthinking things!"
"Then you can’t hide things from me. Whatever it is, you must tell me, or else I’ll make things overly complicated in my head."
"Okay."
The atmosphere was nice, and the two of them were enjoying their chat. But Sally’s knock on the door suddenly interrupted their conversation.
Adrian was displeased, "Who is it?"
Sally cautiously said, "Sixth Master, Madam, Samara attempted to hang herself."
"What?" Sienna abruptly sat up, which tugged at her belly causing pain.
Adrian asked, "How is she now?"
"Aaron Faber has already saved her. But Samara insists she doesn’t want to live anymore," Sally briefly recounted the events.
Sienna’s face instantly darkened. She got out of bed, put on her shoes, and strode towards the outside.
The door was suddenly pulled open, and Sally stood at the entrance. Seeing Sienna’s anger, she quickly moved aside, "Madam, Samara is fine now. Don’t worry..."
How could Sienna not be worried?
She strode towards the place where her sister was staying and upon reaching the entrance, she heard a chorus of crying inside. There was Samara’s crying and Pauline Briggs’ crying, and Sienna felt her head buzzing with a severe headache.
Adrian caught up, wanting to enter, but was stopped by Sienna, "You wait outside, I’m scared you’ll go in and make things worse."
To Adrian, Sienna’s words felt like reproach and blame, leaving him feeling wronged. But at this critical juncture, he said nothing.
Sienna went in and saw Aaron Faber at his wit’s end, comforting Samara non-stop, while Samara was sobbing so much her body quivered, with Pauline also crying along.
"Sienna..." Pauline, with red eyes, saw her eldest daughter had arrived and was about to say something when Sienna stepped up and slapped Samara across the face, bringing silence to the surroundings.
Aaron Faber yelled, "Why did you hit her?"
"Mr. Faber, disciplining my sister is none of your damn business!" Sienna said with a fiery temper.
"It is absolutely my business. She is the woman I love, my future wife!"
Sienna was stunned for a moment, looked at Samara, then at Aaron, and asked Samara, "What does he mean by that?"
Samara was dazed by the slap, leaning blankly in Pauline’s arms. Pauline, seeing her younger daughter’s state, hurriedly said, "Sienna, don’t scare your sister, she’s timid."
Sienna asked Aaron again, "Mr. Faber, what did you mean by that just now?"
"I like Samara. When she turns 16, I’ll marry her!" This was a statement Aaron had harbored in his heart for a long, long time, yearning to declare it.
He was single, Samara was single, and he liked her. Why did it have to be hidden like their relationship was something shameful?
Sienna couldn’t see it that way at all. In her mind, Samara was still a child, while Aaron was an adult, an older man.
An older man and a little girl...
Unpleasant images flashed through Sienna’s mind, and she scolded, "Shameless!"
Aaron retorted, "Madam, how am I shameless for liking Samara? We’re both single. Why can’t I like her?"
Pauline hadn’t expected this man to have such feelings for her younger daughter. She looked at her daughter, then at Aaron, and said,
"You’re so old, and Samara is just a child. How can this be?"
"She’s not a child anymore. In three months, she’ll be 16, and in Abyanabad, 16 is a legal age for marriage and childbearing."
Sienna shouted, "This is not Abyanabad, this is Orienta! Don’t bring Abyanabad’s rules here.
Adrian!"
Adrian came in, glanced at the furious Sienna, then at the flushed-with-anger Aaron, and could guess that Aaron had ignored his advice and spilled the beans.
"Calm down, getting angry is not good for your health," Adrian urged.
Sienna told Adrian, "Throw this shameless man out and never let him set foot in the Johnson Family again!"
Aaron, who had an illustrious family background, was usually surrounded by flatterers and sycophants and had never suffered such grievance. He countered, "Who do you think you are, to forbid me from liking Samara?"
"I am Sienna Johnson, sister to Samara Johnson!"
"..."
"Adrian, didn’t you hear what I said?" Sienna yelled at Adrian. Seeing how furious Sienna was getting, Adrian quickly grabbed Aaron and forcibly dragged him out.
"If it weren’t for you being the Sixth Master’s woman, I would absolutely..."
Sienna stepped forward and slapped Aaron across the face, saying, "If it weren’t for the fact that you help Adrian, I would have someone break your legs and send you to the Police Station!"
"..."
"How old are you? You’re old enough to be Samara’s uncle and yet you’re seducing her, are you still human?"
