Chapter 1877: Fire Scar

Chapter 1877: Chapter 1877: Fire Scar

Inside the villa.

Mu Yi gently wiped Jian Dan’s cheeks with a towel while speaking softly. "Jian, you’ve been lying here for a long time. It’s time to get up. I’ve really waited for a long time. Please promise me, don’t make me wait too long, okay?"

After wiping Jian Dan’s face and limbs, he left the room with the basin of water. Just as the door was closing, Jian Dan’s fingers twitched, then twitched again...

As night fell and moonlight spilled over Jian Dan’s face, her eyelashes fluttered, and she slowly opened her eyes.

Opening her eyes, she looked around at the unfamiliar environment.

Where is this? Wasn’t she supposed to be buying ice cream at the ice cream shop?

Wait, she seemed to have been knocked out shortly after entering the ice cream shop, and she could still clearly remember the pain at the back of her neck.

Then she seemed to hear a loud noise in her ears, like an explosion!

Jian Dan shifted her body and felt a burning sensation on her back, a pain so intense she couldn’t describe it. Her brow furrowed deeply, and her forehead was immediately covered in fine beads of sweat.

She raised a hand to her back, discovering that her body and head were wrapped in bandages.

Forcing herself to endure the pain, she sat up, only to find her entire upper body wrapped tightly in bandages.

The burning pain told her that her back was definitely injured, and it was a serious injury.

Enduring the pain, she got down from the bed and moved step by step toward the bathroom, with each step causing piercing pain in her back.

After finally reaching the bathroom, Jian Dan looked at herself in the mirror, wrapped up like a mummy, her brow furrowing deeply. An ominous feeling swept over her heart. She struggled to lift her hand and, enduring the pain, began to unravel the bandages around her body, layer by layer...

As the bandages were removed layer by layer, Jian Dan finally saw her current appearance: from her right cheek extending to her entire back was bloody, mixed with yellow pus, yet it was clear that these were burn scars. "Ah—" Jian Dan was terrified by her own appearance.

Mu Yi, lying on the bed, was startled awake by Jian Dan’s scream. Without even bothering to put on shoes, he ran to Jian Dan’s room. Seeing she wasn’t on the bed, he was momentarily happy but then saw Jian Dan slumped on the floor, surrounded by the pus-filled bloody bandages she’d removed, her hands covering her face, head shaking continuously.

"Jian." Mu Yi rushed into the bathroom and scooped Jian Dan up, calling out towards the door, "Someone call a doctor!" He then carried her out of the bathroom.

"Let go of me, let go of me!" Jian Dan struggled fiercely against Mu Yi.

"Jian, you can’t move right now. Your back wounds will tear open." Mu Yi tried his best to control Jian Dan without allowing her movements to be too severe, but he was afraid of hurting her, so he didn’t dare to use too much force. "Jian, please, stop moving, okay? Once you’re better, you can hit me however you want!"

Jian Dan didn’t pay any attention to Mu Yi and continued to struggle fiercely.

As Mu Yi was carrying Jian Dan out of the bathroom, the doctor arrived just in time.

"You’re just in time; quickly prepare a sedative!" Mu Yi gently placed Jian Dan on the bed and used his hands and legs to hold down her limbs.

The doctor prepared the sedative, and the cold needle pierced Jian Dan’s arm. As the liquid was slowly administered, Jian Dan’s emotions gradually stabilized.

The doctor then hurriedly began to treat the wounds on Jian Dan’s back that had been torn open by her struggle.

Mu Yi stood alone by the bedside, gazing outside, his facial expression exceptionally pained, even more anguished than Jian Dan’s.
