Chapter 1735: The Threshold Was Broken
Chapter 1735: Chapter 1735: The Threshold Was Broken
"Jian, look at me, really look at me. You really don’t remember?" Xi Rui stepped forward, grabbing Jian Dan’s arms with both hands, bringing her face so close it felt like they might kiss at any second, looking seriously at Jian Dan.
Staring at this face so near to her, Jian Dan felt a bit uneasy, unsure how to react, managing just a dry laugh.
"Xi Rui, stop causing trouble here. Jian has forgotten even my uncle, how could she remember you? Don’t tell me you think you’re more important than my uncle in Jian’s heart!" At this point, Qin Rou and Zhong Tianhao walked in.
As the two walked in, Jian Dan frowned unconsciously, "What are you here for? And you, as my ex-boyfriend who cheated, who exactly gave you the courage to show up in front of me?" Jian Dan said, curling her lips.
"What? When did you become Jian’s ex-boyfriend?" Xi Rui was shocked, pointing at Zhong Tianhao, her mouth wide enough to fit a whole egg.
"What do you mean when? He’s always been, alright?" Mengmeng shrugged, lounging on the sofa, speaking nonchalantly.
"Oh my, I can’t believe I didn’t know about such an important thing?" Xi Rui crossed her arms angrily, her mouth pouting enough to hang a soy sauce bottle.
"When you knew Jian, her thing with Zhong Tianhao was long over, so naturally you didn’t know."
"Hmph!"
"It’s not the time for this, do you actually have the mind to argue?" Yuanyuan looked at the two, tears welling in her eyes.
"Exactly, the most important thing now is to quickly think of a way to help Jian regain her memory!" A voice called out from outside the door.
"Xia Zijie? You’ve come too?" Jian Dan just stood up and was shocked speechless by the person next to Xia Zijie. "Xia Zijie, what’s this..." Just as she was about to say something, she noticed the hands they held together, "Xia Zijie, I can’t believe it? You’re actually dating a big star!"
"Jian, my brother and sister-in-law have been married for a long time now." Xia Mengjiao gently reminded her.
"Married already?"
"Yes! You even organized our wedding for us!" Xia Zijie softly remarked.
"Me? Haha..." When did she have the skills for something like that?
"Jian, don’t you remember at all? What did the doctor say?" Shang Yujin asked with concern, holding Jian Dan’s hand.
Jian Dan was suddenly held by the big star, feeling a bit uncomfortable as she awkwardly withdrew her hand. "Being suddenly held by a big star, I’m really a bit not used to it!"
"Jian, what are you saying? I am where I am today all because of you! If not for you, who knows what I would be like now?" A hint of sadness flashed across Shang Yujin’s eyes.
"Me? Are you sure you’re not mistaking me for someone else, this sounds like something Mengmeng would do." Jian Dan pointed at Mengmeng beside her and said.
"I do have that ability now, but I definitely didn’t have it ten years ago!"
"If you didn’t have it, then it’s even less likely that I did!"
"Well, you didn’t, but your uncle did!"
"My uncle?"
"How could something like this happen just because I wasn’t around?" Mo Mo and Ling Xiaoyang walked in.
"Really? Another one?" Jian Dan muttered to herself.
Just how many friends had she made in those forgotten memories?
"Ling Xiaoyang? Why is it you?" Jian Dan said in surprise.
"You don’t remember me? But remember him?" Xi Rui protested, unwilling to accept.
"Of course, I remember him. He was my student when I was a teaching assistant! Without him, I probably wouldn’t have graduated because I couldn’t pass PE!" Jian Dan said with a bit of self-deprecation.
