Chapter 262: Together

Chapter 262: Together

After the final battle ended and the war was won, everyone went back to their own universes. The victory came at a heavy price—many universes destroyed, legions broken, and wounds that would take ages to mend.

There was no time for rest.

The Asuras and their allies quickly went their separate ways, carrying both the pride of victory and the responsibility of rebuilding.

Before leaving, Nia took Tylor and Lirael aside on one of Universe 28’s cosmic roads, speaking to them in a calm but steady voice.

“Grandfather and Grandmother, I think you two should begin preparing to become Originats.”

Tylor’s eyes met hers—still reeling from the day’s events—but her words sparked a question.

“Hm, and what makes you so sure we’ll join?”

“Uh, because Ashy wants it?” Nia replied, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Lirael rested a gentle hand on his arm, her voice calm.

“It’s fine. We’ll look forward to meeting this grandson of ours.”

Katherine had already gone, slipping away quietly to rest, her blood-silks drifting behind like fading whispers of crimson ruin.

That left Nia, Sandra, and Shia.

Nia turned toward them, wings folding softly, her smile easing from its usual obsessive glint into something warmer, almost bashful.

“Come on,” she said. “I’ll show you around the Originat Haven. It’s… home.”

She seamlessly brought the three of them into the Multiversal Container as the Originat Haven unfolded around them as they reappeared.

And like always It was breathtaking for those entering for the first time…

The ever-expanding supercontinent suspended in eternal twilight auroras, continents of warm marble veined with liquid starlight drifting in slow, harmonious orbits.

Crystal spires rose like living trees, their tips blooming into gardens of night-blooming flowers that released motes of soft light.

Rivers of rose-gold essence flowed between islands, cascading upward into the sky before falling back as gentle mist.

Nia flew at a leisurely pace, giving them time to take it all in.

It was stunning, and much like the Original Ever-Calm Haven, this place had a way of soothing the mind.

For Sandra and Shia, it worked wonders—because while they weren’t mindless creatures, they were still a little crazy.

Sandra’s breath hitched, her eyes sparkling as the auroras danced across the sky.

“It’s… beautiful. Peaceful. Nothing like the war zones of Nara we’ve known.”

Shia drifted closer, her fractured smile easing as her eyes widened in wonder.

“So… is this where you’ve been living all this time?”

Nia laughed softly, her wings giving a single beat to lift her higher.

“Not just living—growing. Ash built this place to help us, or maybe it’s more that it’s always evolving, always becoming something greater. Just like us.”

They drifted over a crystalline lake mirroring endless stars, its surface trembling with echoes of battles won and lost.

Sandra was the first to speak, her voice soft and a little unsure.

“Ash…” she murmured, then went on.

“While we were apart, I never stopped looking for you guys. Not a single day passed on Elaris or since we’ve been back. Even Aster… until the War began. Every rumor, every battlefield whisper—we chased them all.”

Nia’s wings dipped slightly—flames flickering lower.

“Mother… a lot has happened since then. It’s no sense of harping over the past…. we are all back together now, right?”

Sandra’s face softened into a smile at those words—not the wild Asura grin, but a gentle, motherly one filled with love and a touch of humanity. Beside her, Shia hovered in the air, waging an inner battle over what to say and how to say it.

But Nia was the first to speak.

“Big Sis… I know your history with Ash hasn’t exactly been great,” she began, her tone calm.

“Honestly, the only reason I don’t dislike you the way I did Draven… is because you never physically hurt Ash. If anything, you’ve paid him the least attention out of all the siblings.”

“Hehe, even those lies you used to tell back then… they just kept all the girls away from him~”

Shia was at a loss for words, while Sandra watched the scene with a gentle smile. After some time in the air, Shia finally broke the silence.

“Will he see it the same way, though?”

Nia merely shrugged.

“Sis… I really don’t know. Honestly, I can’t even say if Ash ever held anything against you. I mean, just look at how Father and Draven ended up.”

They drifted in silence for a time, watching the Haven stretch out beneath them—floating islands bursting with fresh gardens, cosmic roads winding between tall spires, and the endless hum of creation softly thrumming in the distance.

Shia spoke again, her voice hesitant and almost small.

“Nia… tell us more about Ash. Shouldn’t he be here?”

Sandra’s eyes shimmered once more.

“Yes. Tell us everything. What’s he like now? Where is he?”

Nia’s flames quieted, their glow softening.

She looked up at the void between universes within the Multiversal Container, and instead of replying, they vanished, reappearing right in front of Ash’s cocoon.

It remained as solid as ever, flawless and uncracked, now transformed into a cocoon shimmering with countless colors.

“He’s been in that damned cocoon for the past 800 years… going through some kind of evolution that’ll take about 4,000 more,” Nia said, her voice warm, her smile tinged with obsession.

“Evolution?” Shia asked.

“Right. He should be far beyond the need for evolutions,” Sandra added.

Nia nodded, beginning to tell them about Ash—his many lovers, his unimaginable power, and the fact that he was the progenitor of their race. The revelations left the mother and daughter utterly stunned.

“When he returns… you’ll understand. You’ll know why I’d burn universes for him. Why we all would.”

Sandra let out a long, steady breath.

“Then we’ll wait. Together.”

Shia’s fractured smile softened as she nodded.

“Together.”

They flew on—three silhouettes against the twilight auroras, reconnecting after centuries apart, with the Haven stretching endlessly before them, a promise of everything still to come.
