Chapter 220: Ash’s Eternal Guard - The Obsidian Devourer
Chapter 220: Ash’s Eternal Guard – The Obsidian Devourer
[A/N: Warning, this Chapter is a bit lengthy…]
While Ash ventured towards his next goal…
The conquest of the Unrated Originat Clan had been underway completely. It was not just the Erebus Galaxy that had been under siege… no it was four other Galaxies as well.
In the… Infernal Crucible, a Galaxy that was made completely of flames.
If one remembered correctly, this was also the place in which Seraphiel mended her wounds while resting. However, aside from all of the flames, each world present in this Galaxy were filled with Fiends…
Flame Fiends…
They were beings created from flames themselves; they had no bones nor organs, just pale skin that was on fire.
They looked almost human, except for their flaming skin—bodies alive with flickering crimson and gold fire that danced over them like restless spirits. Heat poured off in waves, bending the air around them, while their eyes glowed like embers, burning with endless hunger.
[A/N: Just for clarification, these will be events that had taken place during the year Ash was inside of the Abyss. By the ending of the Chapter, it will be current time.]
On one of these worlds was a woman that had been here for about two months. She had long white hair, six large white wings that let off small embers of fire. On her forehead was a small sun, along with two pink and white horns.
This was of course Nia Originat… However, despite her immense beauty she had the ugliest look on her face. It was one of disappointment, failure, and everything else… The memories of Vesper’s actions it hurt her more than one would probably think.
Not to bring up the redundant past… but she was always one to step above and on others. Never had she been spat on… used as ragdoll… and been completely useless. And that wasn’t the worst thing…
“I..I failed Ash…” She muttered as she sat inside a flaming cave.
Yet, despite the flames—roaring walls of crimson fire that licked at the stone with hungry crackles… she was completely unaffected. Since being teleported here, she’d done nothing but try to quickly strengthen herself… for redemption.
But she just couldn’t, because those moments and the thought of letting Ash down cut deeper than anything Vesper could do—the shame burning hotter than any flame, yet leaving a cold knot in her chest no warmth could reach.
It wasn’t long before space warped and twisted in front of her and Ash appeared.
The instant he did, her eyes locked on him, trembling uncontrollably.
Usually, she’d be over the moon to see him, but right now, in this moment, it hurt.
“Le…leave.” Those were the only words she managed to mutter.
Not because she was being childish, not because she was angry with him… but because she was afraid, he might see her as something less than who she truly was.
When Ash saw her like this, his heart broke—and how could it not?
Words couldn’t capture the depth of their bond. Yet now, the one who had always loved him most couldn’t even look at him properly.
It hurt, but he understood why—and knew it was all his fault.
“Little Nia… don’t you miss me?” he asked, his ethereal voice cracking slightly.
It had been years since they’d embraced, yet in this moment it felt as if they were miles apart, though only a few feet separated them.
Nia was never one to hide her feelings or words, so she asked him directly.
“A… Ashy, are you not disappointed?”
The words rang in his ears like gunfire, making his dual-colored eyes tremble.
“Disapp—” Ash began, but the rest caught in his throat.
Truthfully, he wasn’t a man of words. He could flirt and joke, but when it came to expressing his love and what others meant to him, he always stumbled.
Words couldn’t capture the depth of expression.
Without saying a thing, he drew them both into his inner cosmos.
Nia felt a wave of confusion at the sudden shift, but Ash kept moving, swift and deliberate.
Time itself came to a halt as he began the process of evolution, lifting Nia’s soul and very being to new heights. With his conceptual sight, he saw far beyond what anyone else could, and if he could read a person’s very existence, why not their soul too?
Then he began drawing on concepts he’d gathered from the Erebus Galaxy, along with a few creations of his own.
From the very start, he had a plan for each of his companions, but he would never force them onto any particular path.
That was also why he let them venture out on their own—to discover a path free from his influence.
Now, at the time of the Fourth Calamity, Nia remained true to her origins, walking the path of flames while also weaving in elements of Destruction and Stellar power.
With all of this done and set he commenced her evolution.
It was much like Raven’s and took some time to complete, but when she was finished, she looked strikingly different from the other Primavus.
Her long jet-black hair, streaked with white, fell to her waist, and four black-and-white horns curved from her head to form a crown.
The sun above her head had turned a void-like black, and her eyes mirrored that darkness as black suns.
Her wings multiplied to twelve, but they were no longer white or feathered. Instead, they became massive wings of black flames.
[A/N: Yes, their ages might be a little off, but don’t worry about the small details. Some domains with time dilation affect aging, while others don’t, so it’s naturally a bit confusing. And for the companions I’m mostly going based off the Lower Dimension Time.]

[A/N: Her Calamity Laws are missing on purpose…]
Ash glanced at her status, feeling satisfied with the results.
She had become like Raven—something he planned for all his lovers and close companions. Raven’s bloodline, however, could be considered stronger, as she embodied a true concept.
Nia, on the other hand, was a creation of Ash’s own making.
By merging fully comprehended concepts into her soul and then evolving her by 500 times, he had shaped her into something extraordinary.
It was only fitting that she became the conceptual existence of Ever-Consuming Obsession.
It was a strange name, born from the fusion of Destruction, Devouring, Fire, and Yandere concepts, with her embodying distinct aspects of each.
When her eyes finally opened, the first thing she saw was Ash’s trademark smile—a smile that spoke volumes. He stepped closer, pressed a loving kiss to her lips, and then sent her back to the world she had come from.

When Nia reappeared in the cave, a notification popped up on her nexus.
[Task – Conquer the Infernal Crucible and bring it under the Originat banner.
Reward – Child with Ash]
—
She stepped out of the cave with an unmatched smile, gazing up at skies ablaze—vast seas of roaring crimson and golden fire churning like living oceans, heat waves bending the horizon into shimmering mirages.
“I’m sure Ash has destroyed those damn Nocturnes… but I won’t let a single vampire draw breath in my presence…”
These weren’t just words—they were a vow Nia intended to live by for the rest of her life.
She left the cave entirely, soaring into the skies with a smile.
Upon reaching the highest point of the world, she spread her arms, wings unfurling to span millions of kilometers, and her sun mark flared as it began to consume.
Crimson flames poured into her mark until nothing remained—not even the world itself.
In just the fourth Calamity, she had erased an entire world from existence, a testament to the sheer absurdity of Conceptual Existences.
It also helped that this world was made entirely of fire, with the Nexuses ensuring everyone was teleported to the place best suited for them.
As the flames poured into her forehead, her once black wings streaked with crimson, and her power grew stronger and more intense than ever.
The more flames she consumed, the more her raw power surged… and as she stood effortlessly in the vacuum of space, she set her sights on world after world.
It was in that very moment The Obsidian Devourer was born.
For eight months straight, anyone watching would see her devouring one celestial body after another, absorbing not just flames but also the very properties of the stars and worlds themselves.
Her MP grew with every world she consumed, and her core had transformed into a budding world of its own.
In her tenth month, she finally stepped onto another world, one teeming with flame fiends.
“It’s time to create my branch…” she murmured as she descended from the skies.
With her sword in hand, she struck—there was no fight, only pure domination. The strongest being here was at the Peak Stellar Sovereign level, but that meant nothing.
These were beings of fire, and Nia could be said to embody fire itself.
The moment she acted, the outcome was sealed.
In less than a day, the entire 8th era world had fallen under her rule.
No matter what they tried—Calamity Laws, Stellar Laws, or even abstract concepts—it didn’t matter.
Everything was consumed and became part of Nia’s power.
When she was finished, there were no male fiends left in the world.
She deliberately slaughtered them all, regardless of their ties to the women here. There was a reason for it, and in her eleventh month in this galaxy, she sat upon a throne of pure destruction and flames.
Her long black hair, streaked with white, framed her face as four horns sat atop her head like a crown.
She looked satisfied with how everything had turned out.
By now, her wings had shifted once more, blazing with multicolored flames reminiscent of Seraphiel’s.
In the past few weeks, she had firmly established her rule over the female fiends.
It was simple—she was their leader, and they were now part of the Originat Clan. Oddly enough, she had been prepared to eliminate some of them if necessary.
That was only if they held any animosity over their fallen males… but that wasn’t the case at all.
They were beings of pure fire, and in their eyes, Nia was nothing less than a goddess.
So, if she declared there would be no males, then there would be none. Even the males would have followed her commands without question, but she didn’t care for them—she only cared enough for one man in all of existence.
“Today,” she began, as all the women looked at her with reverence. “You will officially become Primavus… and formally join the Originat Clan, under my branch.”
“Ash’s Eternal Guard of Devouring,” she added with a smile, standing up and clapping her hands.
Nia had grown considerably since her Elaris days, now standing at 6 feet 8 inches, her frame a bit curvier.
[Pool of Primavus Change – Unlocked]
Her Nexus chimed right on cue.
It wasn’t exactly a secret—her Nexus had grown somewhat sentient lately, thanks to Elysia leaving fragments of her consciousness within it. Though it didn’t express emotions, it functioned much like a true system.
CLAP!
At the sound of her clap, a massive illusory pool appeared in the air. Nia grinned, realizing she could place it anywhere she wished.
“Oh, this is neat!” she said, setting it down in the open field.
As soon as she did, her Nexus spoke.
[Add a drop of your blood into the fluid.]
The pool appeared empty, yet it held an invisible liquid capable of perfectly replicating her bloodline to create sub-Primavus under her lineage. When she let a drop of her void-black blood fall into it, the entire pool shifted colors.
“Go, bathe in the blood.” She spoke as she sat back down on her throne.
Time seemed to fly as she watched the fiends transform.
It wasn’t painful at all, but a subtle change that made them all the more ethereal and beautiful. They grew four wings of multicolored flames and two black horns.
They looked like the offspring of Nia… and within two weeks, they stood as fully bred Primavus.
Nia rose, satisfaction gleaming in her eyes.
“We are Ash’s Eternal Guard! For him we devour, for him we conquer, and only for him do we live!” she declared, speaking straight from her soul.
These women didn’t yet know exactly who Ash was, but if their Goddess willed it, they would gladly live and die for him.
Seeing the unshakable resolve in their eyes, she laughed wildly, gazing up at the fiery skies.
“And as the first order of business, we will make the entire galaxy kneel!”
