Chapter 1160: The Final War In The Cygni Continent

Chapter 1160: The Final War In The Cygni Continent

Everyone from the armies of the Jinns and the Wanderers was all gearing up for the war, estimated to commence in two days.

The effect of the Continental Jammer had finally receded, so both the Artemians and the Wanderers could finally use their technological weapons again.

According to the satellite imagery of the North, the Artemian Army was already amassing and preparing for their march southward, where the Jinns and Wanderers were stationed.

“We should meet them in battle and destroy them once and for all,” Prince Aurelion declared.

“I think that is not a good idea, Your Highness,” Renz replied. “It will be best to hold our position and attack them once they come within our strike range.”

“Are you not confident in fighting them in a head-on confrontation?” Prince Aurelion asked in an arrogant tone.

“Your Highness, you are used to fighting using raw strength and power to win your wars,” Renz explained.

“But for us and the Artemians who use technological weapons, we are capable of long-distance attacks that can wipe out the enemy forces without losing a single soldier. You should know it very well since you’ve experienced it firsthand.”

The Dragonkin Prince frowned before shifting his gaze to Zion, who finally joined the war council.

The teenage boy had his eyes closed and looked like he was thinking deeply about how to win the battle.

But in truth, Zion was currently taking a nap, tired from the all-nighter he pulled just to finish Cranky’s Battle Armor.

“I think Sir Renz has a point, Your Highness,” the Dragonkin Commander, Dravon, commented. “We don’t know what kind of abilities the Artemians will use in this battle, so it will be best if we observe them from a safe distance.”

Prince Aurelion nodded, but his gaze was still focused on the teenage boy, who seemed not to care about the war discussion that was happening at the moment.

Arthur sighed before giving his no-good grandson a light shake to wake him up.

Fortunately, Zion was not sleeping too deeply, so he woke up right away after a few shakes from his grandfather.

Tiona, who was coiled on his neck, nuzzled his cheek and whispered in his ear the things that the others had talked about during his sleep to keep him up to date.

“According to the information I gathered, the Artemians outrank us when it comes to High-Ranking fighters. But we outrank them in mid-ranking fighters,” the Majin Princess, Princess Fiora, explained.

“Excluding King Astrion, who is a High-Archon, the Artemian Army has seven other Archons, including the golden Azothrall, Azoh’Karn.

“On our side, we have four Majin Princes and me holding the line. The advantage we have against them is the staggering number of our Rank 9 Sovereigns, which can overwhelm their mid-ranking combatants when the war starts in full.”

Commander Dravon nodded. “We just need to find a way to contain their two Archons, and we will get a good chance of winning this war.”

Thirteen moved his head from side to side as if doing some light stretches in order to wake up the blood in his body.

When he was done, he opened his eyes and scanned the faces of everyone in the room.

According to their estimate, the Artemians would arrive at their location within two days if they maintained their current pace.

“The real threat is the weapons they will use in this battle,” Thirteen commented. “If we are able to neutralize and counter them, we will be able to tip the balance in our favor. As for the two Archons, I will personally deal with them.”

No one inside the conference room looked down on the teenage boy after he made his declaration of fighting the two Archons on his own.

Zion had always kept his promises, and no one there doubted his ability.

“I will just say this before the war starts,” Thirteen said in a solemn tone. “After this war ends, I want the Jinns and the Wanderers to work hand in hand in building a world where both races can live in harmony.”

Thirteen then leaned back in his chair and stared straight at Prince Aurelion, whose gaze had never left his face since the conference started.

“I know the Jinns wish for conquest, and I promise to give you that opportunity. Also, you will not be conquering alone. We will assist you in that endeavor as well.”

“What do you mean?” Princess Fiora asked.

“Simply put, I’m very annoyed at the Artemians for meddling in our war. Since they dared to come here, shouldn’t we return the favor and visit their home world? It would be nice to claim some of their territories, right?”

The Jinns, who understood what Zion was implying, glanced at each other before smiling fiercely.

The Wanderers, on the other hand, looked at Zion with a doubtful gaze.

The only world they could visit was Solterra.

There had been no instance where any of them had stepped on Artem, which was one of the moons of Solterra.

“We will cross that bridge when we get there.” Thirteen didn’t bother to elaborate more, understanding that what he said a while ago was a little hard to believe.

“For now, we must first win our battle against King Astrion. If we can’t defeat him, forget about going to Artem—we will all die here in the Cygni Continent.”

Prince Aurelion crossed his arms over his chest. “So, what’s the plan? Do we just wait until they come within the strike range of your weapons and bombard them until they all turn to ashes?”

“Yes,” Thirteen answered. “Of course, there’s also a possibility that their weapons have a longer range than ours. If that happens, we will be the ones who will be busy dodging or blocking their attacks.”

“Then, have you thought of a solution to that problem?” Prince Valen inquired. “What if our enemies have a longer reach than us?”

“The solution is really simple,” Thirteen answered. “We bring the battle to them. I will take the lead, and fight in the vanguard.”

“No. you won’t.” Arthur glared at his no-good grandson. “You’ll be at the rear, commanding everyone.”

“Relax, gramps,” Thirteen replied. “I’ll be fine. Someone needs to lead the charge, and I’ll be the one to do that. Renz will be the strategist of this battle, and the Wanderers should listen to his commands.”

Arthur frowned, but no longer tried to dissuade Zion from fighting on the frontline of battle.

Prince Aurelion narrowed his gaze but didn’t make any comment.

While he may not have seen how Zion defeated Lucan in battle, he was confident that the other would at least be able to survive fighting on the frontline.

“Commander Dravon, please coordinate with Renz when the battle starts,” Thirteen added. “That way, we can seamlessly coordinate our attacks whenever necessary.”

“Understood.” Commander Dravon nodded. “That… Honey Badger will deal with King Astrion, right?”

“Yes,” Thirteen answered. “Cranky will handle that arrogant King.”

Thirteen didn’t know what kind of surprises the King of Artem had prepared for in this war.

However, he wasn’t afraid. He had his own trump cards that could devastate the enemy no matter where they were.

Thirteen’s connection to Nautilus had finally returned, and he was now able to use his communicator to communicate with Athena.

The Nemo Submarines were also moving to the location where he had asked them to move, allowing both land, air, and sea bombardments to devastate their enemies.

For him, this war would be the final war that would be waged in the Cygni Continent.

And he didn’t plan to lose against the Artemian King, who made his sister, Rhia, suffer so much back when she was still a pawn dancing on the palm of King Astrion’s hand.
