Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1448 - 10th Familiar?

Chapter 1448: 10th Familiar?

“!!!” Nathan widened his eyes in shock. “What? Are you serious?”

Xolotl was a proud individual, even prouder than Fenrir and the others. Then again, he was a true god. Unlike Fenrir and the others, he had more qualifications.

The only one who could somehow match him would be Fenrir. Although Fenrir was not a true god, the Limit Break ability was the ability that allowed him to kill Odin, a true god.

If they fought in their peak forms, there was no telling whether Fenrir or Xolotl would come out on top.

Still, Fenrir was not a true god.

That was why Nathan didn’t expect Xolotl to offer himself.

“Xolotl, you…” Nathan took a step back.

“I have been thinking about this.” Xolotl shook his head, clarifying his intention. “Right now, I’m afraid that the so-called Godfather is stronger than anything you can imagine.

“If my prediction is right, the Godfather won’t be as simple as wielding the power of rules. He might be a human who has fully manifested his power of rules. In other words, his power of rules has been completed.”

“What?” Nathan had learned about the power of rules. Although he hadn’t created his own rule, he had been thinking about it and would move in that direction after defeating the Death Society.

He knew how powerful the power of rules was. Yet, Xolotl claimed that Godfather had that kind of power.

“Do you mean he is at Fenrir’s level?”

Xolotl shook his head. “Not yet. There are four steps to reach godhood. The first step is to fully manifest the power of rules, while the second one is to form your godhood. Everyone here should have fulfilled the third step.

“However, they are lacking in ena. Even though they have superior divinity, this Godfather must have fulfilled the first condition.

“By taking advantage of the black cell, he might be equal to the second step. On the other hand, our people haven’t gotten enough ena to fully manifest their divinity.

“So, from the looks of it, we are on the weaker side.”

Nathan was a bit shocked. He never thought Xolotl would claim they were weaker.

He thought he had gotten pretty strong, but it looked like the enemy was that much stronger.

Normally, Fenrir and the others would refute anyone who said this, but Xolotl must have his own thoughts before saying this. The fact that he lowered that pride was proof that he had carefully considered this option.

Nathan contemplated. “So, you’re saying that we won’t stand a chance against him?”

“No. We have a chance to defeat him, but we don’t have a lot of time. You might have to warn the two girls to be careful and focus on stalling him. Only after we are able to take down Frequency and regroup with them do they begin their offensive.

“If they’re not careful, I’m afraid they might die.”

“!!!” Nathan seemed to have underestimated this so-called Godfather.

They had never met him, so they couldn’t be sure.

Xolotl noticed the hesitation in his eyes, so he added, “What you should worry about is not that guy, but the black cell. The black cell is the one that makes me change my plan.”

“…” Nathan closed his eyes for a few seconds. No one argued with him, so his concern must definitely be worth consideration.

“Well, I don’t really mind doing a crystal fusion with you. It looks like the opponent this time is that scary.” Nathan’s expression turned solemn. “Well, the others already have their own crystal forms, so you’re the only one who doesn’t have it. Since you offer it, there’s no reason for me to reject it.”

“Actually, I also want to tell you that this spirit fusion might be a one-time thing, or you can consider it as our fail-safe. We will be fighting more and more powerful enemies, so we might have to use it from time to time.”

Nathan nodded. “I understand the idea. If you don’t mind having a crystal form, we can start working on that immediately.”

Xolotl agreed. “Yes. But for now, use it with someone else. Unless it’s necessary, I’m not going to use that form. Consider it a last resort.”

“Fine by me.”

Xolotl then pointed to the rest of the familiars. “Now that I’m done with my matters, let’s discuss the distribution.”

Seeing Xolotl’s decision, his familiars seemed to have another thought, or more like another possibility.

Peng suddenly opened his mouth. “Master. I apologize for saying this after you promise my share of ena. However, I think I shouldn’t take this ena yet.”

“Not yet? What do you mean, Peng?” Nathan raised his head.

“I mean, you should give it to someone else.”

“Someone else?” Nathan looked around, wondering who he was talking about. But he soon realized the true target of his request. “Don’t tell me…”

“Yes, Master. I’m talking about summoning your tenth familiar.”

“!!!” Nathan had considered it before, but he thought it would be wiser to amplify their power first. Still, this was what was unique about the divine beast. He wasn’t the only one who was smart enough to assess the situation. He could ask, “What makes you reach that conclusion?”

“You must be weighing whether to use the ena to upgrade two of us or summon another familiar. Normally, having two divine beasts is better than a new one, but if Xolotl is right, I have to think of another possibility.”

“And that is my tenth familiar?”

“Yes. Not just any familiar. I’m talking about another true god as your familiar.”

Everyone fell deep into thought. On the one hand, a true god was definitely beneficial. Back then, Xolotl could handle two familiars by himself, so if there was another true god, he could do the same.

One true god might be equal to two gods.

That was why everyone considered it well, especially with the amount of ena that Nathan currently possessed.

“Master. You can consider Nidhogg, Orochi, and Jinwu, but please reconsider mine and one other. Right now, we need fighting power the most if the enemy is as Xolotl said.”
