Chapter 1324: Another Assassin
Chapter 1324: Another Assassin
“Kill him!”
“You!” Regina roared, her ena erupting as if it was her anger that was erupting.
“Hahahahaha!” Ellenwood laughed, only to be shocked when Regina’s sword applied more pressure.
The difference was high enough to catch him off guard, allowing Regina to overpower him for a single moment. She took that chance to cut him down, but Ellenwood was still a crystal fusion stage summoner.
At the last moment, he was able to react and move away. Regina ended up taking only his left hand as a result.
Regina’s eyes turned bloodshot. “Ellenwood!”
Her power started to freeze the area.
“You…” It was Ellenwood’s turn to be surprised. She was supposed to be paralyzed, but for some reason, her strength abruptly overpowered him. There was only one possible explanation. “You… You are not drugged?”
“Aahhhh!” A scream suddenly echoed from the side.
“!!!” Ellenwood glanced back and saw one of the three summoners get his left side obliterated.
The entire arm was crushed until nothing remained by Fenrir’s absolute force. After having that kind of injury, the summoner shouldn’t be able to avoid death.
They were thinking Nathan was poisoned, that they didn’t expect Nathan to be releasing this much power. In fact, Nathan didn’t have any ena eruptions from his body, making them think Nathan was still in shock by the revelation.
But it turned out everything was a farce. Nathan and Regina had been acting the whole time.
“You… You…” Ellenwood was completely speechless.
“I told you, right? I won’t let you get away with this.” Regina’s killing intent soared. “For daring to poison me, I sentence you to death. Be grateful, Ellenwood. To have me as your executioner is the best honor you can have.”
Ellenwood released everything he had and charged forward. His familiars were doing the same thing.
Regina was doing the same thing. Her role was to stop him, but she couldn’t help worrying about Nathan. Even though Nathan wasn’t poisoned, his opponent was two crystal armor stage summoners.
It wouldn’t be easy to defeat them. It was different from when he’d fought the elite class aliens. Even in this fortress, he defeated one alien at a time.
Now that they knew Nathan wasn’t poisoned, the two summoners jumped back and summoned their respective familiars.
They summoned seven familiars, one in crystal form and six in normal form.
Nathan waited until they were coming before teleporting to the back of the summoner on the left.
He first summoned Xolotl, Anubis, and Mae. Xolotl and Mae had already activated their shapeshifting ability and appeared in their human form. Anubis still remained in his beast form, but he instantly activated his domain.
The dark field suddenly turned bright as they were invited into the golden room.
“This is… domain?!” Regina widened her eyes in surprise.
Nathan punched the summoner. The air cracked as the void started moving.
“Huooo!” The summoner also released his power, fully aware of Nathan’s space element.
Nathan’s Spatial Collapse had become stronger than it used to be. After training his space element, the void movement became more controllable. He sped up the void movement by using both the space and time elements at the same time.
“Kh…” The summoner gritted his teeth, his right eye closing. The ground had started shaking as if there were an earthquake.
Bam!
The summoner got blown away. His feet slid on the ground as his left arm couldn’t move anymore. Even so, he managed to escape getting his body crushed.
“We have to kill him! Beware of more familiars!” The summoner said, reminding his teammate that Nathan still only summoned three of his familiars.
Meanwhile, they had two summoners and twelve familiars that could fight him. They had the upper hand, but if they were careless and got ambushed by Nathan’s familiar, it would be all over.
“Anubis. Let me handle this.” Xolotl suddenly stopped him.
For the past three months, it had been true that Xolotl had only been fighting aliens. He had yet to fight a summoner or a familiar.
Although he had known his level, he wanted to know the level of the summoner and their familiars compared to Nathan.
It was a good chance to test it.
Xolotl simply raised one hand and waved it down.
“We will overwhelm him with numbers.” The two summoners moved together with their familiars. If there were a distance between them and their familiar, Nathan might be able to teleport away.
“Xolotl. There is no need to fight. It’s not like they’re going to harm Her Highness. If we teleport away, their plan will fail.” Nathan reminded him of one simple fact.
Even though it was a reminder, Nathan’s voice was heard by the two summoners and even Ellenwood.
To his surprise, Ellenwood didn’t say anything. It wasn’t hard to predict this would happen if Nathan didn’t get poisoned. In fact, even if he was poisoned, Nathan could actually escape because it only relaxed his muscles, not his power.
So, they should have thought about his teleportation ability and prepared a counter.
Nathan said those words to probe their situation, and it looked like he was right.
’Still, I used short-range teleportation earlier… Fenrir. Do you notice something?’ Nathan asked.
Fenrir, in his crystal form, replied, “No, not at the moment.”
’Xolotl. Do it. I want to try something.’ Nathan gave an instruction.
Xolotl channeled his power. A black lightning struck down.
“!!!”
“Get out of the way!”
The two summoners noticed the incredible power behind that lightning. Even the familiars moved away faster than their summoners.
Boom!
The lightning strike hit the ground and burst. Everything that got brushed by the lightning lost its life, including the soil.
While the two summoners were shocked by this power, Nathan had already activated his power, getting ready to leave.
Nathan glanced at Regina first. He didn’t expect her to have investigated him, so there was no need to bid his farewell anymore.
“Telepor—!” When he was about to activate the teleportation, Fenrir suddenly gave him a warning. “Danger!”
Even Fenrir sounded taken aback, as if he didn’t expect there would be a danger so close to them, passing even his senses.
This person simply clapped his hand, which caused the ena to vibrate and ultimately become unstable enough for the teleportation to continue.
“What?!”
