Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 702 Mass

Kyle took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment.

Long Transformation hadn’t moved yet, and he didn’t feel any Energy gathering around her.

She was most likely also not completely comfortable with the fight.

‘I thought it would be easier,’ Kyle thought. ‘Just kill one more person. Who cares? So what if you know the person?’

‘Yet, after meeting her again and talking to her, I’m just not the biggest fan of this fight.’

‘I’m not that into it.’

‘I don’t like it.’

‘But hey, I agreed to it. It’s not like I can back out now.’

‘I wonder, if she knew that I would be her opponent, would she have backed out?’

Kyle sighed. ‘What does it matter? We don’t have a choice anyway.’

Kyle opened his eyes and narrowed them.

‘This will be a regular True Battle, as always.’

Kyle locked onto his distant opponent and activated his Momentum.

The world around him became dark and oppressive.

Usually, he saved his Momentum for a devastating strike, but it just didn’t feel right to do that here.

It felt like a cheap trick.

In the distance, Long Transformation also narrowed her eyes.

She activated her Momentum as well, and her Momentum pushed back.

Kyle became a bit nervous, which came as a result of having a slightly weaker Momentum than his opponent.

From the looks of things, her Momentum was a bit stronger, but not by a lot. Her Momentum couldn’t compare to Swamp Dragon’s Momentum.

It seemed like Long Transformation had the same idea as Kyle. She wanted to use this battle to gain enough Momentum to unlock her twelfth Cluster.

‘Well, here goes!’ Kyle thought as he readied his hammer.

BANG!

Kyle’s surroundings exploded as he charged towards Long Transformation.

Long Transformation narrowed her eyes, and she pulled out her staff.

Light and Darkness Energy gathered around her staff, and the world around it seemed to warp.

Light and Darkness. Two opposite Elementals.

However, these Energies didn’t just represent Light and Darkness.

They represented Yang-Light, Yin-Light, Yang-Darkness, and Yin-Darkness.

Kyle had heard about how Long Transformation fought, and he knew that this would not be an easy fight.

The unique combination of these four Elements created an unreasonable level of adaptability.

After Kyle had told the Chief Overseer about the Complex Law Long Transformation wanted to create in the Tertiary World, the Chief Overseer also managed to reverse engineer her actual Complex Law. It was an Essence Fusion between the four Elements, which was then infused into her Law of Center.

As Kyle charged at Long Transformation, over 50 specks of starlight appeared in front of Long Transformation.

Then, all 50 specks shot towards Kyle.

Kyle narrowed his eyes.

Every speck only had a bit of Energy. Even if he let one of them hit his body, he wouldn’t even really get injured due to his incredible defenses.

However, he knew how Long Transformation fought and what she could do, and frankly, Kyle wasn’t entirely sure how to deal with this attack of hers.

‘Just have to go at it!’ he thought as he gritted his teeth.

He actively charged towards one of the specks and swung his hammer.

His arms moved strangely as he transformed his Energy to achieve maximal levels of destruction.

Just when the hammer was about to reach the small speck…

BANG!

The 49 other specks vanished, and the speck in front of Kyle turned absolutely gigantic.

The hammer hit.

BOOOOOOM!

Kyle’s entire body shook as the Energy inside the speck scattered.

However, Kyle’s body also received some minor injuries from the backlash of the strike.

He felt like he had just hit one of these incredibly hard cubes in his home gym.

Light and Darkness were related to mass.

Light represented an addition of mass, while Darkness represented a reduction in mass.

When Kyle had fought those two Paladins in the Tertiary World, their light explosions had pushed him away. The explosions had just been an expansion of mass, which had created kinetic force.

Yang-Light could add mass to something.

Yang-Darkness could steal mass from something, similar to Yin-Lightning. The main difference was that Yin-Lightning worked on ethereal Energies, while Yang-Darkness directly stole mass. Yin-Lightning could also steal mass, but that was because it was powerful enough to force mass to turn into ethereal Energy.

That difference in power made it strictly superior to Yang-Darkness, but that was to be expected. One was a Level Two Law, while the other was a Level One Law.

Now, what did Yin-Light and Yin-Darkness do?

Every Yin-Element reversed one aspect of its Yang-counterpart.

In this case, it was the affected object.

Yin-Light could increase the mass of oneself and one’s Energy.

It could be used on one’s body to make it more powerful, but it could also be used to increase the density of one’s Energy, creating a vastly more powerful attack. Yin-Darkness was about the transfer of mass. It could take mass from one thing and add it to another thing. In this case, it could target everything.

This had plenty of uses, the most prominent of which was a vastly increased speed of Energy recovery.

By fusing these four Elements, Long Transformation had an insane level of control over her Energy.

Earlier, she had launched 50 specks, of which none were dangerous by themselves.

Yet, at any moment, she could simply transfer all the power of the specks into a single one of them.

In essence, she didn’t even need to aim anymore.

She could launch attacks in every direction, and as soon as one of them reached her enemy, all attacks would converge there and hit.

The explosion of the speck stopped Kyle for just an instant, but he quickly shot forward again.

As he came closer, Long Transformation swung her staff in his direction, and an avalanche of light spears shot at him.

When Kyle saw that, he gritted his teeth and moved to the side.

He was forced to abandon his charge.

The reason for that decision was simple.

The spears were too close to each other.

As long as there were just two spears that could potentially hit, it was over.

Kyle would need to decide on dealing with one of them, and Long Transformation would just strengthen the one he wasn’t attacking.

Getting hit by one of these spears represented death.

After Kyle evaded to the side, the spears changed directions and flew after him.

Surprisingly, their speed was not fast enough to catch up with him.

But that was also not what they were supposed to do.

The spears took on a strange formation, and their colors distorted.

In the next moment, another volley of spears appeared around Long Transformation, mimicking the formation of the other volley.

The Energy around Kyle warped.

The watching Chief Overseer narrowed his eyes.

He had expected that Long Transformation’s power had increased over the past centuries, but he hadn’t expected it to increase in this way.

In the empty space between the two volleys of spears, a dark mist appeared.

Since Kyle was in that space, he immediately felt the effect of that mist.

Immense pain assaulted his body.

It was like his entire body was bathing in acid!

This pain came from the dense Darkness Energy around him, which tore little bits of mass out of his body.

Kyle became shocked when he realized what was happening.

This was not an attack in a typical sense. ‘She made a Formation Array!’
