Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 650 Attrition

While it looked like he had lost his mind, that was actually not the case.

From the outside, it looked like he absolutely hated the cube.

Yet, in truth, his aggression and hatred were focused on the Cluster in his right leg.

With every kick, he was trying to shove more and more Energy into the Cluster.

The fact that this Cluster hadn’t unlocked yet was met with unending aggression.

‘Unlock!’

‘Unlock!’

‘Unlock!’

Kyle was destroying the Cluster over and over.

Every kick ruptured it, and he shoved more Energy inside.

To him, this was like a long war of attrition.

He was sending small groups of soldiers at the enemy fortress.

When the soldiers reached the walls, they hit them once with a hammer.

Yet, what could a hammer do against a fortress?

The hammer strikes hit the fortress, and the soldiers were immediately killed.

In a real war, this would be the dumbest tactic imaginable.

However, in a real war, there was only a limited amount of resources.

Kyle had endless.

Striking a fortress with a hammer wouldn’t do anything.

Not even ten strikes would do anything.

After a thousand, maybe some of the stones of the fortress wall broke.

After ten thousand, there was bound to be a visible dent with some broken stones.

After a hundred thousand, there would be a hole.

After a million, maybe one could even see the other side of the fortress wall.

Rivers slowly changed the shape of their riverbed, one droplet at a time, and Kyle was doing the same.

If one had infinite time and stones, one could build a pile of stones that reached the heights of Mount Everest.

One just had to keep at it.

One strike at a time.

One stone at a time.

After ten years, many Disciples watched Kyle during their breaks.

Surprisingly, this led to their breaks becoming shorter instead of longer.

Usually, the Disciples spent some time with their comrades before returning to work.

Yet, when the Disciples saw Kyle’s vigor and intensity, they felt their hair stand on end.

It was so genuine and brutal.

His willpower reminded them of their own training.

This made them return to their training far quicker.

When someone took a break from playing a game and saw a video of someone else playing the game and having fun, they might feel the desire to pick the game up again.

The intensity of Kyle’s emotions resonated with their emotions.

In fact, some of the Disciples decided to do the same thing as Kyle. They ordered a strong cube of metal and kept striking it.

However, when they tried to imitate Kyle’s intensity, they quickly ran out of mental energy.

This gave them newfound respect for Kyle.

How was he able to keep this intensity up for so long?

The Head noticed the change in the Farmountain Guild.

Fewer Disciples were just hanging around, and more of them were focused on their training.

However, the actual problem of the Disciples hadn’t gotten better since they were still all focusing on their Realm. They just did that with more fervor now.

He just hoped it would change.

Time continued passing, and about 20 years after Kyle had started…

BOOOOM!

The Disciples, who were currently watching, noticed that this kick sounded different.

On top of that, the cube had moved just a slight bit.

Then, for the first time in 20 years, no new kick followed.

Kyle closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

His perception stretched to his right leg.

There, he saw a fully opened Cluster.

It stored an incredible amount of Biological Energy, and whenever he kicked with his right leg, his left leg would be under more stress since it could barely support the force of his right leg.

‘The power of my right leg more than doubled, and the power in the other parts of my body increased by about 10%. Sure enough, advancing a level is the fastest way to make gains.’

For just ten seconds, Kyle relaxed.

He was exhausted.

He was like a marathon runner after 40 kilometers.

Just a bit more.

Just a bit more.

Just one more step.

Just one more step.

He wanted to stop.

His head was aching, and his eyes wanted to defocus.

He just wanted to focus on nothing in particular.

He just wanted to aimlessly stare into empty space.

His mind was tired and exhausted.

However, that was how he had felt for the last 19 out of 20 years.

He felt like he couldn’t continue anymore.

And yet, he did.

Over and over, he continued.

Just a bit more.

Slowly, he turned to the gathered Disciples.

Then, he lifted one finger.

“One,” he said.

Yet, before the Disciples could really understand what he meant, Kyle’s expression became filled with undying hatred again.

BANG!

He turned around and kicked the cube with his other leg.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

A strange feeling of unreality washed over the Disciples.

20 years.

Meteor Hammer had only needed 20 years to unlock a Cluster.

Sadly, they didn’t know that Kyle had already started on his Clusters while inside the Array of Stars.

All the minor Clusters had been opened by about 30%, and the first 30% were always the hardest.

If Kyle had started from zero, he would have needed about 40 years to unlock a Cluster.

However, as the Disciples thought about it, Kyle’s speed actually made sense.

The fastest Core Disciple managed to unlock Clusters within 55 years.

He trained very hard, but even he took breaks, and he wasn’t going at it with the same intensity as Kyle.

If he trained like Kyle, he could probably reduce that time to just 40 years.

It sounded so easy.

Just kick a cube.

And yet, almost all of the Disciples had felt how impossible that was.

They could keep kicking the cube, but their intensity would quickly drop.

It was not the same.

The way Kyle trained was so simple, and yet…

Nobody could imitate him.

When they saw that Kyle immediately resumed training, they almost couldn’t believe it.

He had unlocked a Cluster, and he still didn’t take a break.

Just as before, Kyle kept kicking the cube.

Every new kick was so intense that it sounded like the first one.

He kept kicking.

He just kept kicking.

The more exhausted Kyle got, the angrier he became.

His Cluster’s unwillingness to unlock was what caused this tiredness!

If it just unlocked, he wouldn’t be this tired!

Another fortress was besieged by an infinite number of soldiers with hammers.

However, this fortress had already been damaged a bit.

Due to Kyle’s intensity, he wasn’t just unlocking one Cluster.

While kicking like this focused on one leg, the remainder of his body also went through a workout.

It wasn’t as significant, but over 20 years, he still unlocked 5% of every other minor Cluster.

Now, he was starting at 35% instead of 30%.

He continued as always…

And 19 years later…

BOOOM!

The cube moved even more with Kyle’s last kick.

He had unlocked the Cluster in his left leg.

Kyle turned to the Disciples and lifted two fingers.

“Two.”

Then, he turned around.

BANG!

And punched the cube with all of his power.
