Chapter 604 New Complex Law
Swamp Dragon quickly sat down, and his hands recovered.
He didn’t say anything for a while.
“Do you have any idea how close you were to dying?” he asked with a sigh.
“I can imagine,” Kyle said as some of his chipper attitude returned.
Yet, deep inside, he still felt grateful.
He had risked his life for his teammates many times, and his teammates had repaid him again and again.
Kyle remembered his old teammates.
Horatio, Tracy, Falk, Bormine, Lily, Selene, Michael…
They had also risked their lives for Kyle. Some of them had even given their lives for him.
Sadly, deep inside, Kyle had known…
None except for Selene would have been able to keep up with him.
They were only temporary teammates.
With time, Kyle would outgrow them.
And then, he had even outgrown Selene.
Temporary relationships.
What relationships in Kyle’s life had been permanent?
None.
On Earth, people came and went.
In the Tertiary World, people came and went.
But then, Sebastian appeared.
Somebody who could actually keep up with him.
Sure, Kyle had been more powerful than him later, but that was because Sebastian simply didn’t have access to more Law Wells.
In the Supreme World or a Secondary World, Sebastian wouldn’t have stopped improving.
When Kyle had condensed his Law of Meteor, Sebastian might have already comprehended the first Fragments of the Level Three Law of Lightning.
Even more, Sebastian was also part of the Array of Stars.
Maybe Kyle could meet him again.
While Kyle barely felt anything when he saw people in pain or saw them dying, it didn’t mean that he was emotionally dead.
It was just…
Why invest emotions into something that would vanish soon anyway?
If somebody died, they were gone.
Kyle looked at Warp Space and Swamp Dragon.
But this was the Star Seeking.
Only the best of the best Transcendents came here.
Swamp Dragon and Warp Space had already gone through four significant True Battles.
Most likely, their Momentum was within the top 1% of all the participants in the Star Seeking.
There was a high chance that they would become Unique Transcendents.
There were not many Unique Transcendents, and all of them were beyond outstanding.
Maybe…
Warp Space and Swamp Dragon wouldn’t leave Kyle’s world so soon.
But then, Kyle remembered who he actually was.
He wasn’t a member of the Array of Stars.
He was a member of the Cult of Final Fate.
In the future, he would betray them. Kyle pushed his emotions back.
“Man, that sure was close, wasn’t it?” he asked with a laugh and smile.
He walked over to Swamp Dragon and lightly punched his shoulder. “You saved my ass! Good job!”
Swamp Dragon took a deep breath. “There’s no reason to thank me. You would’ve done the same thing for me.”
“Yep,” Kyle said with a smile.
Then, Kyle turned to Warp Space. “Did we all get what we wanted out of the battle?”
Warp Space smiled and nodded. “I got what I wanted. With the Fragment I comprehended, I can now create a sufficiently powerful Complex Law to become a Unique Transcendent.”
“Great!” Kyle said before looking at Swamp Dragon. “You got the Law of Body?”
Swamp Dragon nodded. “Yes. I only need to Infuse my Law of Body with the Essence of my Complex Law to become a Unique Transcendent.”
“Sounds good! So, it’s back to looking at Laws. No more fighting for now,” Kyle said.
The other two agreed.
“Awesome! Anyway, I don’t want to seem ungrateful, but I really wanna experiment more,” Kyle said. “So, I kinda wanna get going right now.”
Warp Space smiled slightly, while Swamp Dragon sighed.
“I’m glad you said it, because that means I don’t have to say it,” Swamp Dragon said.
All three of them were eager to comprehend their Laws.
“Good! Then, see ya!” Kyle said as he burrowed into the ground.
Since he only had to look at his own Laws, it didn’t matter where he went for his comprehension.
As long as he had peace and quiet, he could stay anywhere.
While Kyle passed through the ground, everything around him froze and broke into pieces.
He inspected his body.
‘This is actually crazy powerful!’ he thought. ‘My physical power has more than doubled, and I freeze everything around me! I don’t even have to use any Energy or Biological Energy! Everything just happens automatically!’
His new Complex Law made his body also much harder and gave him significant resistance to all kinds of attacks.
Yin-Biology attacks needed to break his new Energy into pieces before attacking first.
Fire needed to put much more Energy into heating him to achieve any significant effect.
Frost wasn’t a problem anyway since Kyle’s cold resistance was beyond ridiculous.
Kyle’s Law of Meteor had been a fully offensive Law. It had barely contributed to his defense.
But his new Complex Law made his defense shoot through the roof while also supporting his offense.
Most importantly, his new Law didn’t cannibalize his Law of Meteor since they were made of completely different Laws and worked on different parts.
He could use both of them at the same time.
‘If this Complex Law is already this powerful, how powerful will my final Complex Law be?’
‘What happens if I insert all three Essences?’
As Kyle reached a good spot for comprehension, he focused on his body.
The next moment, his body returned to its usual appearance as a blue sphere floated out of it.
Kyle put the Essence back into his body, and it returned to its stark white color.
‘I can put it into my body and take it out again without issues,’ he thought. ‘It needs a bit of time, which means I can’t do that during battle, but why would I even do that? Access to Yin-Fire is worth nothing when compared to this new Complex Law!’
Kyle grinned with excitement as he dispersed his Essence of Yin-Fire.
Then, he took out his Essence of Yin-Metal.
‘You’re next!’
