Chapter 543 Powerful Wind
Kyle finished reading through the FAQ and got most of his questions answered.
‘You know, I always ignored FAQs on Earth, but they can be quite useful sometimes.’
‘Anyway, the Lord guy said that I might have enough time to comprehend some Laws. I should see what I can do.’
Kyle thought back to the planet with the wolf-woman.
‘That should work.’
“Magic Ring, can I pay Contribution Points to an Associate to learn Laws on a different planet?” Kyle asked.
The Magic Ring immediately showed a display with the answer.
‘Yep, but I have a limit of 100 Contribution Points per year. That should be enough… I hope.’
‘Well, time waits for no one,’ Kyle thought as he stood up and walked out of his temporary abode.
When he entered the streets again, he noticed that the group of colored heads was gone.
‘They’re probably busy with their own stuff.’
Kyle took to the sky and flew towards the other planet again, which took him quite a while.
Flying through space was quite relaxing. It was so quiet.
‘Except for this horrible fucking burning pain I’m constantly under,’ Kyle thought with an annoyed sigh.
Even though he kind of got used to it, completely getting used to it was just impossible.
As Kyle approached the planet, wolf-lady contacted him again.
“Can you pay this time?” she asked without appearing.
“I think,” Kyle said. “It’s one Contribution Point for what? One time entry, a day, a week, a month?”
“The Contribution Points are deducted per year,” she transmitted.
“Oh, great!” Kyle answered with a smile. “Then, I can stay here until I don’t want to anymore!”
Kyle felt some skepticism coming from wolf-lady.
“You managed to make that many Contribution Points in such little time?” she asked.
“I mean, I didn’t make any. It’s just that I have a limit of 100 Contribution Points per year until I have to leave,” he answered.
“You became a Parasite?” she asked in surprise.
“Is it that obvious?” Kyle asked back.
Wolf-lady didn’t immediately answer.
“Parasites are not that common.”
The next moment, Kyle’s Magic Ring activated on its own and showed him a display.
“Do you agree to a subscription of one Contribution Point per year for services rendered in Law Comprehension by Wolfmistress?”
‘Sure,’ Kyle thought as he pressed the accept button.
“You may enter,” Wolfmistress transmitted to Kyle. “Which Law do you want to comprehend?”
“I’ve heard there’s some Yin-Fire here,” Kyle answered.
The next moment, a map of the planet with a marked location popped out of Kyle’s Magic Ring.
“You will find your Yin-Fire there. Make sure that you do not damage the integrity of the Law Well, or there will be significant fines,” she transmitted.
“Law Well?” Kyle asked.
“A Law Well is a place, natural phenomenon, or mechanism that displays a certain Law. You must make sure that people coming after you can still comprehend the same Law you have comprehended. Damaging a Law Well also comes with a significant reduction in Karmic Luck,” she explained.
“Sure,” Kyle said before snickering. “Reduction in Karmic Law,” he repeated with a joking tone.
Everyone here had a True Sin Aura.
As if anybody here gave a shit about that.
“I am warning you for your sake,” Wolfmistress transmitted with a serious tone. “We do not care about our Karmic Luck, but as a Parasite, you will learn to care about it.”
“How come?” Kyle asked.
“Your target organization will not employ someone with a True Sin Aura. It would be too difficult and expensive to keep you in their Dimension, even if they wanted to,” Wolfmistress explained.
“Dimension?” Kyle asked. “We have Dimensions here? I didn’t see that question in the FAQ.”
“It’s not a secret, but I also won’t explain it to you. I do not know what I am allowed to tell you and what I’m not. Focus on your Law Comprehension,” Wolfmistress said.
Kyle sighed. “Sure, thanks.”
Wolfmistress didn’t say anything else, and Kyle just continued flying towards the planet.
‘Fucking Dimensions? What’s up with that?’ he thought as he kept traveling to the planet.
On his way, he asked Magic Ring, but it told him that he did not have access to this information.
‘Sucks.’
As Kyle came closer to the planet, the wind around him picked up in power.
In fact, it became more and more difficult for Kyle to keep his trajectory straight.
The wind here was not weak at all!
‘These storms probably move at tens of kilometers per second! That’s quite brutal.’
Eventually, Kyle came close to the ground.
Surprisingly, the winds only became stronger.
Kyle looked at his Magic Ring and got directions to the Law Well for Yin-Fire.
He fought his way through the windy surface, pieces of constantly grinding on his armor.
‘My armor is actually weakening a tiny bit,’ he thought as he felt the Metal Ether in his armor.
‘If I remain in this sandstorm for a couple of years, all of my armor would probably vanish.’
Kyle put his armor away, and the sand started to grind on his skin.
His skin became a bit red since it was slowly losing its upper layer, but that’s where the damage stopped.
Kyle’s regenerative abilities were superior to the sandstorm’s damaging abilities.
Sure, Kyle felt like he was getting slight carpet burns the entire time, but the burning pain of the carpet burns was a campfire when compared to the overbearing midday sun that was the searing pain of his Sin Flames.
He actually needed to put effort into sensing the pain of the carpet burns through the bright pain of his Sin Flames.
It was like trying to taste the little bit of sugar one put into one’s mouth together with the fistful of salt.
After traveling for a couple of minutes, Kyle finally reached his destination.
‘That’s crazy!’ he thought as he looked forward.
In front of him was a humongous flame of blue fire.
The flame was burning fiercely, which was crazy, considering that it was literally kilometers wide and high.
‘No wonder I could see that from space. This thing is massive(wink).’
