Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 455 Lifeless

“Dude, I’m so glad that you have three Affinities. This would be horrendous otherwise,” Sebastian said as he stood in a room filled with actual air in the depths of the Grand Ocean.

“Anything more this little self can do for master?” Kyle asked in a scratchy voice while bowing deeply.

“No, this should be fine,” Sebastian said with a smile, looking around his newly created bastion of technology.

Over the past weeks, Sebastian had told Kyle to create a plethora of things.

First, Sebastian needed an isolated space with regular atmospheric pressure.

Technically, all the Rank A and Rank B Materials would also work under the immense pressure of the Grand Ocean, but Sebastian actually wanted to use copper, iron, and other Rank F Materials to build his machines.

The reason was simple.

He couldn’t expect Kyle to stay here all the time in case anything went wrong.

What if a part got damaged?

How was Sebastian supposed to shape the Rank A Materials to build a replacement part?

Because of that, the room with the machine had to be under normal pressure.

Kyle’s Wind Affinity had been useful since he could create Wind Ether, which eventually turned into regular air.

On top of that, the room had to be insulated as well.

The temperatures down here would even melt iron.

Luckily, by using a cooling system that used electricity, Sebastian could keep the room cool.

This cooling system needed a ridiculous amount of power, but that wasn’t hard for Sebastian to generate.

“Let’s see if it works,” Sebastian said as he shot a humongous lightning bolt into a tesla coil.

The humongous battery attached to the tesla coil was loaded almost immediately, and the AC started to spring to life, trying its absolute best to dump the temperature from the room into an area that was already over a thousand degrees Celsius hot.

Sebastian said that it was crazy that the power consumption of a simple AC for such a small room had to be measured in Megawatts.

But he also said that it was crazy that he could shove tens of Gigajoules of energy into a battery by simply casting a Spell.

Kyle knew how electricity worked at a basic level, but he had never really worked with these kinds of units, and he also didn’t particularly care.

Hammer go smash. That was all that mattered.

He didn’t need to know how all of these fancy white-collar engineers created their machines.

He was a simple man.

He looked at materials, sniffed them, hit them, and ate them until he was familiar with them.

Sure, there was also some math involved, but he didn’t need fancy theorems, axioms, and whatnot.

Sebastian and Kyle went to the pressure chamber, and Sebastian pressed a button.

The door behind them closed, and the front door opened.

BOOM!

The highly pressurized and heated water burst into the room, shaking the little building.

They floated out of the building. Kyle went to the side, while Sebastian stopped in the middle above the Anti-Wind stream.

Next, Sebastian shot another bolt of lightning at one of the antennae on top of the black building.

Another antenna changed position.

Then, Sebastian smiled and shot another lightning bolt at the first antenna.

BANG!

The second antenna released a powerful bolt of lightning, which shot at the Anti-Wind stream in front of Sebastian.

The lightning turned red and deflected, shooting directly towards Sebastian.

BANG!

Sebastian got hit by the red lightning bolt, and his entire body became lifeless.

It was almost like he had died.

Kyle watched with furrowed brows.

Sebastian said Kyle didn’t need to do anything.

Sebastian’s lifeless body fell slowly towards the stream of Deepwind.

Kyle watched.

Would he recover?

Finally, Sebastian’s body was submerged in the black stream.

Kyle’s Ether Sense followed Sebastian as his body was ragdolled to the Anti-Ice.

Kyle just scratched his chin.

BANG!

Sebastian hit the Anti-Ice, and his body started to receive severe burns.

Kyle watched.

‘Didn’t know he was also interested in comprehending Anti-Ice,’ Kyle thought.

BOOOM!

Suddenly, lightning exploded out of Sebastian’s body, and he immediately shot away from the Anti-Ice.

“MOTHERFUCKER!” he shouted reflexively, getting an accidental mouthful of very hot water.

“It hurts so fucking much!” he shouted as his body started to recover from the burns.

“I thought you didn’t like pain,” Kyle transmitted.

“You!” Sebastian transmitted aggressively. “Why didn’t you stop me?!”

Kyle blinked a couple of times. “What? You told me to watch.”

“Something obviously went wrong!” Sebastian shouted. “Don’t you use your fucking brain?! Would you have simply let me die because I told you to watch?!”

“Nah,” Kyle answered casually. “You were still safe. The burns only reached your bones. It would’ve still taken them two seconds or so to reach your brain or Center. I would’ve gotten you in a second.”

Sebastian seemed agitated and furious. Yet, instead of shouting at Kyle again, he took a deep breath, accidentally getting a lungful of hot water.

Deciding that breathing didn’t work to calm down, he simply closed his eyes and counted to ten, which his mind did in less than 0.1 seconds.

“Okay, my mistake,” Sebastian transmitted, doing his best not to move any air into or out of his lungs.

“What happened anyway?” Kyle asked.

“I was testing Anti-Lightning on my body to see how it works,” Sebastian transmitted. “I didn’t use a lot of power and expected that the effect wouldn’t be that strong.”

“However, in order to counteract the extra charge, I lowered my lightning levels. I don’t want to convulse too much.”

Sebastian frowned.

“Well, turns out, Anti-Lightning doesn’t give energy. It sucks energy out.”

“It sucks energy?” Kyle asked. “Where does it go?”

“If I knew that, I wouldn’t need to learn about it, would I?” Sebastian asked with annoyance.

“Sorry, miss,” Kyle said. “Didn’t mean to question your majesty.”

Sebastian wanted to sigh, but decided against it just in time.

“Yeah, sorry. It’s fine,” he said. “Let me try again.”

Kyle just nodded and watched as Sebastian readied himself for another lightning strike.

“This time, please stop me before I hit the Anti-Ice,” he said.

Kyle nodded again.

After some preparations, another bolt of Anti-Lightning hit Sebastian.

His body became lifeless, but this time, he recovered before he even hit the Anti-Wind.

“This works,” he transmitted. “Let me make a couple more test runs.”

“If everything checks out, you can return to your own training.”
