Lucas put some distance between them before he responded with a sarcastic tone. “It’s an honor to be remembered by Your Majesty.”
Arcientus frowned after his identity was exposed. “You are not stupid after all. Since you already know who I am, you should be aware of the difference between our strengths.”
“You stand no chance against me.” The emperor shook his head with a mocking smile.
Lucas smiled faintly. “That’s true, but I am not fighting you alone!”
As soon as he said this, a burst of flame shot towards Arcientus.

Arcientus swung his sword and destroyed the fireball with his blade energy.

“Even if you joined hands with that beast, you are still no match for me.” Arcientus sneered while playing with the sword in his hand.

Alaric let out a smile. “Do you know how Remondin died?”
He paused deliberately to annoy the Harunian emperor.
“He was killed by a Transcendent Knight…” Alaric emphasized the last part which made Arcientus pounce at him.

He swung with full force, creating a blade energy that cut through the air with a sharp keening sound.
Alaric wasn’t flustered. While he was speaking earlier, he was silently pouring mana into his shield in preparation for this very moment.
When Arcientus made his move, Alaric immediately activated the shield’s engraved ability.
