SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 468 - 468: Battle of Gods

This was the first time Silva would be fighting against a demigod. The man floated up into the air, and a golden circle formed behind him. He was a one-circle demigod, which meant he was far above the early stage.

He looked at Silva with pure and utter disdain. “Now do you understand why you do not touch what doesn’t belong to you?” he asked, his voice thundering.

But Silva simply pointed his sword upward at the demigod. “I’ve been itching to have a fight with a demigod. Let’s see how that goes.” His wings shot out; with one powerful flap, he launched into the air like a rocket toward the demigod.

“YOU ANT!!!”

His voice thundered as he swung his staff. Silva blocked the attack—BOOOOM! The explosion that followed was sonic, shaking the air all around. That collision alone caused the island to tremble.

Both of them were pushed back. The demigod lunged forward and began attacking with a thundering barrage, each one more terrifying than the last, but Raze blocked every attack, standing his ground.

“Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” The demigod’s voice thundered as he swung once more. Silva evaded the attack—KABOOOM! He was shot back, his body flying through the air like a rocket. He slammed into the ocean, bouncing off the water like it was hard ground. He lifted up into the air again.

The demigod was already flying his way, but Silva wasn’t letting him get the hit this time. While still moving backward, he slashed forward, creating a massive flame arc that ripped through the air, cutting through space itself and heading for the demigod.

The demigod stopped and then began spinning the staff like a vortex. The flame arc slammed into it and created another massive explosion.

“It seems you are no normal hunter. It begs the question of why someone like you works as a hunter,” the demigod said, taking another battle pose.

“What I do is none of your business. You should just leave us be. What is a demigod like yourself doing fighting me?” Silva stated.

“Hahahaha, sadly, I have picked an interest in you now, and I still need to give you your punishment. You do not stand against me and walk away,” he said, and then kicked the air, lunging forward again. Thrusting his staff at Silva, he parried the attack and countered. The demigod blocked. They went back and forth, each clash shaking the planet and causing the ocean to roar.

The demigod finally found an opening; his strike landed on Silva’s guts and sent him flying down, slamming into the water again. He followed up. Silva got on his feet, still skidding back on the water, his eyes pinned on the demigod that was approaching way too fast.

Clang! Clang!

They collided again, pushing Silva further back, but none of the attacks were getting through. So the demigod kicked the water and backed down, creating some distance between them. Then he pointed his staff forward. A magical circle formed, then another stacked on it, and then another, and then another. They all began spinning, firing a massive condensed blast of lightning.

Silva opened his mouth and released a blast of flame breath. The flame and lightning collided, creating a massive explosion right at the center of the ocean. It created a massive wave that spread high into the sky; the waters churned wildly.

Silva shot through the wave, slashing downward. The demigod slid to the side as he dodged the attack, then swung his staff. Silva spun and blocked it, flapped his wing, and shot up into the air. The demigod followed behind fast. They both got high into the sky, clashing repeatedly.

Each clash sounded like thunder and shook the sky. The space rippled and the waters roared. It looked like massive explosions happening in the sky.

‘Aris was not this strong. Is this the difference between someone in the early stages and someone that had actually awakened their first circle?

The difference is crazy. I can tell that this dude is yet to even use his full strength,’ Raze thought.

They clashed one more time, and both of them were pushed back. While flying in the air, the demigod started talking.

“You are capable of standing against me so easily. Even though this isn’t my full strength yet, it is still the strength of a full-fledged demigod in the first circle, yet you are taking it.

That means you are at least an early-stage demigod. Hmmmm,” he spoke like he had just realized something. “Why is someone that’s a demigod doing on this lawless planet? Even the strongest people here that make the Arcane Council are barely at the second circle, and they are considered gods, basically.

Why then have you come here? And why have you stayed? It makes no sense. You literally have the strength to level nearly anyone here,” he stated. But then his eyes widened. “Ahhhh, you must either be new here or on the run,” he said.

“What does that have to do with you? What I do here is my issue,” Raze said.

“Hahahahaha, do you really want to limit yourself so bad? This planet has been milked of everything that’s a resource. Those filthy old men that sit as the council leaders here only do it to gather talent and limit them, leeching off them like the parasites they are.”

“You will not speak about us in that way, Kendall.” A voice thundered. A portal opened, and seven figures came out—two women and five men, all dressed in black and gold, all in their middle ages.

“Ahhhhhh, it seems our fight managed to call the Council of Arcane. Hahahahaha, whenever I call you that, I feel stupid, because you are all just one big joke that council sent to control this planet. You can’t even lick the boots of the members of the real Arcane Council.” Kendall spoke with a sharp tongue that stabbed into the hearts of all seven of them instantly.
