Strange, intermittent noises also echoed through the cavern.

"There isn’t... something in this cave, is there?" a man at the rear asked, his brow furrowed as he scanned the darkness.

"No way. It’s too quiet for that," the man in the lead said confidently.

Everyone in the viewing room fell silent at his words. The commander of the Fourth Corps buried his face in his hands in embarrassment.

"This Blue Crystal Ore is thirty-year grade!" the woman exclaimed to the others. But as soon as the words left her mouth, she froze. Her eyes widened, her expression a mixture of shock and terror.

She had seen the giant vampire bats.

The bats were standing on the ground, their wings wrapped around their bodies like cloaks, their crimson eyes fixed on the intruders.

Pair after pair of crimson eyes began to light up in the darkness. There were too many to count.

"Lu He, what is it?" her squadmate asked with a frown, seeing her terrified expression.
