Chapter 309: Leaving Crucible Arena II
Rhain looked at the five figures blocking his path.
He let out an amused laugh, "And what if I don’t?"
The late-stage Domain Master’s eyes narrowed into dangerous slits.
"Then you will die," the man stated coldly.
BOOM—!!!
Five auras erupted simultaneously, locking the space around Rhain’s group entirely.
Standing behind Rhain, Peregrine gritted his teeth.
"Master, you should leave with the others!" Peregrine stepped forward, his own middle-stage aura flaring up as he drew his weapon. "I will stop them for a moment!"
Rhain didn’t even turn his head.
"There is no need for that," Rhain replied casually.
Swoosh—!
Without a single warning, Rhain exploded forward.
He rushed directly toward the five overwhelmingly powerful Domain Masters entirely alone!
"Master!"
Skullcrusher, Deathblade, and the rest of the seven slaves shouted in shock.
They hadn’t expected Rhain to do something so suicidal!
They frantically tried to push their essence and follow him, but Rhain was already moving with the Heaven-Grade Boundless Sky Wind.
He was simply too fast.
In a fraction of a heartbeat, Rhain materialized directly in front of the late-stage Domain Master.
The late-stage Domain Master’s eyes widened, but a cruel sneer instantly formed on his face.
"Hahaha! The glory of killing Asura is mine!" the man roared.
He swung his blade with every last drop of his late-stage essence, an arc of lethal aura aimed directly to cleave Rhain in two.
But at that exact instant, he saw something being thrown at him.
A small crystalline orb.
His pupils contracted to pinpoints.
He had never seen it before, but the aura leaking from that tiny sphere made every instict in his mind scream in warning.
But the problem was that it had been thrown from less than three feet away.
There was no time to dodge.
The orb struck his chest.
BOOOOOOM—!!!
A pillar of blinding white light erupted from the center of the avenue, shooting straight into the sky.
It was the full-powered strike of Dean Qaylus—a peak Domain Master standing half a step from the Monarch Realm—compressed, sealed, and released at point-blank range.
The devastating shockwave tore through the avenue like a destructive hurricane.
All five opponents were violently blasted in different directions like broken ragdolls.
Two of the middle-stage Domain Masters, who were standing slightly closer to the epicenter, were instantly killed.
Their bodies exploded into a mist of blood on the spot.
The remaining two middle-stage experts were hurled through the air, crashing through the walls of nearby buildings in a half-dead condition.
The deafening explosion drew every eye in the outer district.
Hundreds of masked killers who had been drinking, brawling, and haggling in the nearby streets came rushing toward the sound—and then froze the moment they saw the crater.
"What in the hell—"
"It’s him! It’s Asura!"
Through the clearing dust, the late-stage Domain Master was revealed.
He wasn’t dead, but his condition was miserable.
His left arm hung from a few strands of shredded muscle. Blood poured from his eyes, his ears, his mouth.
His internal organs had been reduced to pulp.
"Pfft!" He coughed up a massive puddle of pitch-black blood.
Struggling onto his hands and knees, the man raised a trembling, blood-stained finger toward Rhain.
"You... you bastard..." the man gasped weakly, his eyes burning with unwilling malice. "You will pay for this... I will—"
Before he could finish his threat, Rhain’s dark grey eyes glinted ruthlessly.
Rhain simply pulled out a second glowing crystalline orb from his spatial ring and tossed it directly at him.
The late-stage Domain Master’s eyes nearly popped out of his skull.
"NOOOOOOOOO—!"
He shrieked in despair, throwing his body sideways, desperately trying to evade.
But in his heavily injured, half-dead condition, his speed was far from what it was before.
He was far too slow.
BOOM—!!!
A second explosion engulfed him entirely.
The man was blasted violently into the air, his flesh tearing and his bones cracking audibly across the avenue.
But Rhain still wasn’t finished.
Without a single shred of mercy, Rhain threw the third and final crystalline orb directly into the falling debris.
BOOM—!!!
The third blast shook the Crucible Arena’s entire outer ring like a terrible earthquake.
A huge, incredibly deep crater was carved on the spot of blast.
At the bottom of the crater, the late-stage Domain Master lay in an unrecognizable state.
He was already dead beyond dead, pulverized into a bloody paste.
At the edges of the ruined street, the two surviving middle-stage Domain Masters dragged their broken bodies out of the rubble.
When they saw their leader turned to mincemeat, their minds completely broke.
Horrified out of their wits, they turned and tried to frantically scramble away.
Swoosh!
Rhain’s figure blurred.
He caught up to them in an instant.
Void Fist. Second Form.
BANG! BANG!
With two casual punches that bypassed whatever fragile defenses they had left, Rhain shattered their hearts.
The two assassins collapsed lifelessly onto the cracked stone.
Rhain slowly lowered his hands, calmly exhaling a breath.
"Job’s done."
The hundreds of Crucible Arena residents who had gathered around stared at the scene in a state of mind-numbing horror.
In less than a minute, a late-stage Domain Master and four middle-stage Domain Masters had been completely eradicated!
At the edge of the crater, his seven subdued slaves—Skullcrusher, Deathblade, Peregrine, and the others—were staring at Rhain speechlessly.
They had been ready to fight a desperate, bloody battle for survival. Yet their Master had simply wiped the floor with the enemy before they could even draw their blades!
Rhain turned his head, looking at the stunned, paralyzed expressions of his slaves.
"Why are you standing like statues?" Rhain asked flatly. "Quickly check these people. See if they have anything good."
The seven slaves immediately snapped out of their daze.
"Y-Yes, Master!"
They scrambled forward, hastily looting the spatial rings from the mangled corpses.
The moment Peregrine swept his spiritual sense into the late-stage Domain Master’s ring, his body shuddered.
"Master!" Peregrine gasped, running back to Rhain. "He had eighty thousand Blood-Iron Tokens! And countless other high-tier materials!"
Skullcrusher and the others rushed over with the remaining rings. "The other four collectively had fifty thousand Blood-Iron Tokens!"
A total of one hundred and thirty thousand Blood-Iron Tokens!
One point three trillion Aetherium Crystals.
The seven slaves were visibly trembling with excitement.
Rhain casually collected the rings, storing them away.
Then, he slowly turned his head to look at the hundreds of masked people cowering at the edges of the ruined street.
The moment his dark grey eyes swept over them, the entire crowd collectively took a terrified step back.
"Do any of you have Aetherium Crystals?" Rhain asked.
Since he was leaving the Crucible Arena, there will be no value of these Blood Iron tokens in the outside world if not exchanged.
Hearing Rhain’s words, everyone was confused, but fearing the wrath of the demon standing before them, several rogue cultivators hurriedly nodded their heads.
What followed was the most bizarre scene the Crucible Arena had ever witnessed.
Right in the middle of a slaughtered battlefield, Rhain systematically exchanged his newly acquired mountain of Blood-Iron Tokens for billions upon billions of Aetherium Crystals with the trembling merchants and cultivators.
In the Crucible Arena, Aetherium Crystals were nearly worthless—useless paper that couldn’t buy a cup of water in the inner city. Blood-Iron Tokens were everything.
And here was a man willing to hand over tokens for crystals, at a moment when refusing him seemed considerably more dangerous than accepting.
Once his business was concluded, Rhain turned to his men.
"Let’s go."
With a swirl of his dark robes, Rhain and his seven slaves stepped through the blood-red portal hidden behind the cascading waterfall, officially leaving the hell of the Crucible Arena behind.

From a far distance, high atop the towering central spire of the inner city.
The Nine Seats of the Crucible Throne stood in the sky, having watched the entire one-sided massacre unfold in silence.
"Such ruthless efficiency," the Third Seat murmured in a thoughtful tone. "Perhaps that man had simply come for the technique of the Ninth Seat."
The Fifth Seat crossed her arms, her venomous eyes gleaming. "Many others had come for the auction in the Crucible Arena these past few days. It is not uncommon for outside powers to dip their hands into our markets for forbidden arts."
Another Seat, wrapped entirely in heavy iron chains, grunted. "Do you think that man will return to the Crucible Arena?"
The First Seat, whose massive frame radiated the overwhelming pressure of a peak Domain Master, let out a deep exhale.
"I hope not," the First Seat stated bluntly.
With that final assessment, the older Seats turned and vanished from their spots.
Only the Ninth Seat remained for a little longer.
The handsome, white-robed youth’s eyes locked onto the exact spot where Rhain had disappeared through the portal.
A smile slowly appeared on his face behind the mask.
"We will meet soon," he murmured softly.
With a flash of light, he also disappeared from his place.
