Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1928: Having A Family Lunch After So Long

“Well, if you insist… but even then, I’ll periodically visit your Dungeon just to check that everything is in order, okay?” my mother asked.

“Mom, my dungeon is mine. You can’t just—”

“I said, understood?” My mother crossed her arms and glared straight into my eyes. “Sylph Naturia Bravo, you’re still my daughter. I know you think you’re an independent adult and all that, but you’re still the granddaughter of the King of Elves and the daughter of mine, a direct descendant! I have every right to check your dungeon to make sure it poses no threat to us or the Kingdom.”

“Ahhh… Okay, okay, I get it,” I rolled my eyes.

I suppose there was no way to hide it from my mother. Still, Armageddon should be holed up in her own pocket divine realm, so even then, she shouldn’t find her.

Yeah, let’s hope she doesn’t.

Because if she does, she’ll definitely tell everyone else, and then I’ll have to come up with some excuse. I literally can’t think of any!

It will cause so much drama and ugh… maybe I should never have revived Armageddon.

No, no. I still need her power. I knew exactly what I was getting myself into when I chose to bring her back, so it’s better to just move on and accept what I’ve done.

“Okay, lunch is ready, everyone! Let’s eat!”

My mother called out, and three large wooden tables rose from the floor through magic, merging into one giant, very long table for everyone to sit and enjoy the meal.

“Ah, it’s been a while since we’ve all been together like this!” my mother-in-law, Nepheline, said with a bright smile as she looked at my mother. “I missed you so much, Faylen! Haha, which is strange because before our kids were born, we were apart for years…”

“I suppose our daughters have brought us together,” my mother replied with a warm smile. “I missed you too, my dear friend.”

My mother gently patted her hand and then served her a generous plate of noodles covered in rich bologna sauce loaded with meat. It looked incredibly delicious, especially since the sauce was made with all kinds of new ingredients.

“It’s good to see you back, Faylen,” Shade said with a nod. “Thank you for cooking today.”

“No problem, Shade… Hm? Oh, you and your wife have certainly grown stronger, haven’t you?” my mother observed. “But you’ve changed too. Are you more expressive now?” She leaned closer, narrowing her eyes as she studied his face.

“A-Ah… Well, I’ve… thought about a lot of things,” Shade answered, looking away while clearly feeling the pressure of her stare.

“Mom, don’t stare at my father-in-law like that. He’s just opened his heart a little more, right, Uncle Shade?” I asked, earning a faint smile from him.

“Hah, that’s right, Sylphy,” Shade replied.

“Oh well! I want to know every detail about the trials and the foes you fought. I’ve heard bits and pieces here and there, but I want the full story!” my mother said eagerly as she sat next to my father. “There you go, honey.”

“Oh wow, this is a lot! I was starving. Thank you, my love,” my father said, kissing her lips.

“I have to say, you’ve done an incredible job taking care of Sylphy and her friends these last two years, Felicia,” my mother continued. “You’ve not only cooked for them, but you’ve practically raised them, helped them grow, learn, and it seems you’ve even been working as a part-time butler for my lazy friend.”

“He’s not my butler. He just does things for me, but I don’t ask him…” Master Felicia said, blushing.

“Hahaha, thank you, dear. Yeah, it was a little tough. Although I knew how to cook, it took me a while to get really good at it,” my father admitted. “At first I only knew the most basic recipes, but I’ve been visiting restaurants, meeting chefs, and learning so much more… I just wanted to make sure Sylphy never missed a proper meal every day, even when her mother wasn’t around. And well, washing her clothes, cleaning the house, and so on… it came naturally. I didn’t have much else to do anyway.”

“Fufu, you’ve suddenly become a perfect house husband, haven’t you?” my mother giggled, resting her head on his shoulder. “Thank you for everything, dear…”

“Don’t worry about it,” my father replied, kissing her forehead. “Oh, and Zephyrus, I wanted to say that you make me really proud, and I’m truly grateful you were there for your mother all this time.”

“Ah… Dad, there’s nothing to be thankful for… It was mostly Mom who was there for me,” Zephyrus sighed. “I was crying like a baby half the time…”

“Well, you’ve grown up so much now, my dear son,” my mother said gently. “Don’t beat yourself up over that. We all struggle through life at some point, or rather, we continue to struggle until the end, I would dare say. Life is a struggle even when it seems normal.”

“If you say so…” my brother nodded. I was sitting right beside him.

“Yeah, brother, don’t worry about that!” I said. “The great thing is that you did it! But anyway, shouldn’t you be the one telling us what you all went through first? I’m really curious!”

“Oh well…” my mother nodded and began to speak. “You should already know where we went. The Saint’s Trial is located deep within the main continent’s spirit lands, hidden from plain sight. It’s known as the area closest to heaven, and yet somehow detached from the gods’ watchful eyes.”

“Oh yeah, now I remember. There were so many flowers everywhere…” Zephyrus said. “And it was so tiring to walk that road… I think it had something to do with the Magic Atmosphere, so rich in Spiritual Energy that it became almost toxic to breathe for too long. It was our first challenge: to walk that path day and night until we reached the end, right?”

“Yeah, I liked the view! But it was SO tiring!” Mist sighed as she finished her pasta and moved on to snacking on colorful baked potatoes. “Each flower overflowed with tiny spirits that only Lara could see… She loved the place and didn’t even feel tired, though.”

“I loved it!” Lara exclaimed. “I don’t know why everyone else felt so tired. It felt like I was right at home there, haha!”

“Like the town Aquarina visited with her parents, Everstone, which was built around an inheritance, the one we visited was similar,” my mother explained. “However, the entire valley leading there, the road itself, is often called a ’Saint’s Trial.’ You must walk the path and endure the weight and exhaustion that comes from your body absorbing the rich spiritual energy in the environment. Eventually you adapt and grow stronger as a result. It was the perfect training method for all of them. All they had to do was walk.”
