Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1856: I Missed You

Chapter 1856: I Missed You

“We’ve also come to say goodbye,” said the Great Oasis Spirit. “Please take care, Aquarina. You’ve been a wonderful friend to Agua and everyone else, and I’m truly grateful for everything you’ve done for us.”

“Yeah, without you encouraging Silvia and Justicio to go out and explore, you would’ve never met me. I might still be out there parasitizing monsters,” Khepri nodded. “Thank you for everything, Aquarina!”

“Ah… you guys…” Aquarina smiled, overwhelmed with emotion as she struggled to hold back tears. “Please take care! And you two make a pretty cute couple, heheh!”

“Couple?” Silvia asked.

“What does that mean?” Agua wondered.

Both Spirits glanced at each other in embarrassment. The Great Oasis Spirit vanished before Khepri could reveal anything more.

“Hahaha, we can talk about that later…” Khepri giggled.

As Aquarina said her final goodbyes, Pyuku was summoned. He appeared shy and reluctant to say farewell, but he had no choice.

“Pyuku! There you are!” Silvia said, hugging him.

“Hey buddy! Please take care, and I hope you keep protecting Aquarina,” Justicio added.

“Yeah, Pyuku! Meeting you has been a wonderful experience. I wish you and your people the best,” Agua nodded.

“Indeed, we are quite similar,” Quetzal said. “At least some of your kind still remain… so please, take care of them.”

“E-Everyone…” Pyuku bubbled and wobbled, clearly embarrassed. “Thanks… I’ll always remember you guys… you’re great friends!”

Nepheline and Shade approached Aquarina, knowing that too much emotion would only make her more attached. It was time to move forward.

“Alright, Aquarina, let’s go,” Nepheline said.

“Sylphy is waiting for you at the Blue Mountains airport, you know?” Shade added. “So we might as well hurry!”

“Y-Yeah… coming…” Aquarina nodded, glancing back at her friends. “S-See ya! Please… take care! I’ll come back as soon as I can with everyone else! I want to invite you to the Academy too, so please wait for me!”

“Sure!” Silvia said. “Take care! We love you!”

“Yeah!” Justicio nodded. “Tell your friends we say hi!”

“Tell Sylphy we’re eager to meet her one day!” Agua waved.

“Hm,” Quetzal nodded quietly.

Aquarina looked at the airship and made a choice—not to look back. It would only make her hesitate. Each step felt heavier than the last. Despite how much she had once hated coming here, despite the tears she shed over missing Sylphy and her friends, now that she was finally leaving to reunite with them, she felt just as sad to leave behind the wonderful new friends she had made.

The airship’s gate slowly closed, and it lifted into the sky. Everyone watched in silence, then gradually returned home.

Inside the airship, Aquarina stared at the floor. She couldn’t hold it in anymore. She began to cry.

She hadn’t wanted to cry in front of her friends. She didn’t want them to see that side of her while leaving. She wanted them to believe she would be okay.

But in truth, she wasn’t.

“Wahh?”

Little Esmeralda hugged her big sister’s arm, trying to comfort her after noticing she was crying.

Nepheline and Shade sat beside her, wrapping their arms around their daughter.

“It was a nice journey, right Aquarina?” Nepheline said. “I’m glad you were able to learn so much and grow stronger.”

“Yeah, think about the good things,” Shade added. “You’ll definitely see them again. Don’t worry.”

“Y-Yeah… I wasn’t sad or anything!” Aquarina said, rubbing her eyes with her sleeve. “Sylphy… she’s waiting for me, right? She’ll be there?”

“Of course,” Nepheline nodded.

“We’ve already been told she’s waiting with her father, her new master, and her friends,” Shade confirmed.

“Oh wow, but it’ll take hours to get there…” Aquarina sighed.

“Well, there’s a big city over there—Evercraft,” Nepheline explained. “They’re probably busy, so don’t worry. The trip will take a few hours. This airship is a new model that travels even faster, so at most, four hours.”

“That’s a lot!” Aquarina groaned.

“Haha, you should just take a nap,” Shade said. “Look, your sister already fell asleep.”

Aquarina smiled softly, seeing Esmeralda sleeping while hugging her. She gently lifted her baby sister and placed her on her lap, then closed her eyes and drifted off in her comfortable seat.

While sleeping, time seemed to pass in an instant. Before she could wake naturally, her sister tugged on her hair.

“Ouch, what… Eh? Huh?!”

She gasped in disbelief. The scenery had changed completely. Snow-capped mountains surrounded them, and snowflakes drifted gently from the sky.

The airship had landed inside a large cavern carved into the mountain, revealing a vast city within.

“Woow… We’re here?!”

She sat up as her parents greeted her.

“Ah, you’re awake. That’s good. Let’s go,” Shade said.

“Sylphy’s outside waiting for you!” Nepheline added.

“Sylphy?!” Aquarina gasped, handing Esmeralda to her mother and rushing out of the airship, leaping through the gate.

She saw a crowd of people moving about and felt slightly lost.

But then—

“Aquarina?”

Her eyes widened at the sound of that voice.

After almost two years…

Aquarina turned and saw her.

Long, dazzling red hair.

Bright emerald eyes.

Snow-white skin.

And the adorable freckles scattered across her shoulders and near her little nose.

She had grown a little taller, but otherwise, she hadn’t changed.

“Sylphy…”

Aquarina was speechless, stunned by her beauty.

Sylphy giggled and ran toward her, leaping into her arms.

“Aquarinaaaa!”

Aquarina reacted instinctively, catching her as they both laughed.

She lifted Sylphy and spun around the airport, drawing curious stares from passersby.

“I missed you so much!” Sylphy said. “You don’t know how much has happened here!”

“I missed you too!” Aquarina cried. “I missed you every single day!”

Tears welled in their eyes as their lips drew closer.

They forgot the world around them. All that mattered was each other.

With deep affection, they kissed—Aquarina’s hands gripping Sylphy’s waist tightly.

Eventually, Aquarina set her down, and they hugged again, exchanging little kisses between words.

“There’s so much I need to show you!” Sylphy said. “Ah, right—we should go meet everyone else!”

“Yeah, yeah, anything you want!” Aquarina said, wiping a tear. “I love you so much, Sylphy…”

“E-Eh? Heheh… I love you even more!” Sylphy replied, kissing her cheek. “See? It wasn’t even that long! We’re finally together again.”

“Yeah… but even then… it felt long to me,” Aquarina said, lifting Sylphy again and carrying her like a princess. “I made a lot of friends, and I miss them dearly… but I’m really happy to be with you again.”

“Me too!” Sylphy said, kissing her lips. “I love, love, love, love you!”

“Nuh-uh, I love you even more than that!” Aquarina giggled.
