Chapter 950: Circular-Red-Yang-Formation II

Boom! BooM! BOOM!

As the continuous sound of harsh explosions resounded through the island, more and more Chakra Spheres were blasted at the Circular-Red-Yang Formation by Toyotama.

The continuous explosions not only stirred up smoke and dust that covered the entire sky but also shook the entire island to its core, scaring the inhabitants. The cracks formed by the first explosion became wider and turned into trenches that spread all over the island.

Witnessing everything with their own eyes, Karin and Gaara stared at the Circular-Red-Yang Formation and the Ryūmyaku with flabbergasted expressions, struggling to keep standing on their feet. If not for Gaara’s sand protecting the two of them from the shockwaves, they would have definitely fallen inside one of the trenches.

Even the puppets were not safe, trying their best to keep their footing firm on the collapsing rocks.

Standing at the center of all the upheaval, Kuroto was unaffected and continued to focus on the Circular-Red-Yang Formation.

The smoke and dust that covered the sky might be a problem for others, but it did not affect the penetrative vision of his Byakugan. After each explosion, there would be a flicker in the Fuinjutsu Formation, and Kuroto noted the positions of those flickers to later improve those points. So far, he had noted down quite a few flicker points.

Of course, the power of the Chakra Sphere blasted by Ryūmyaku was not as strong as the Tailed Beast Bomb used by the complete Nine-Tails, but it was still formidable due to the presence of Natural Energy. This is precisely why Kuroto was certain that if he made the Circular-Red-Yang Formation capable enough to withstand hundreds and thousands of Chakra Spheres thrown by Ryūmyaku, even the strongest attacks wouldn’t breach the defense of the Circular-Red-Yang Formation.

So far, although the result is not perfect, it is enough for Kuroto to be certain that the changes he has made in the ‘Four-Red-Yang Formation’ are quite good, and this would be sufficient to protect Ancor Vantian. He thought to himself, ‘Well, as long as it’s not something like the Truth-Seeking Ball, it should be fine.’

Suddenly, a small hand pulled his sleeve, causing Kuroto to break out of his thoughts. He looked back and noticed that it was Karin who was struggling to stand straight because of the wind pressure and shockwaves created by the barrage of explosions. She covered her face with her left hand and requested, “Kuroto-sama, please stop this testing!”

“Huh? Why? What happened?” asked Kuroto with a confused expression.

“If this continues, the entire island will crumble, and home will be sunk into the sea!” explained Karin.

Karin’s words startled Kuroto, and he suddenly realized that she was correct. Immediately, he instructed Toyotama, “Stop!”

“Oh!” Toyotama responded with a nod and quickly stopped the barrage of Chakra Spheres, returning inside the Gourd.

After the dragon disappeared, Kuroto used a simple Wind Style Ninjutsu to blow away the smoke and dust and looked at the state of the Circular-Red-Yang Formation after it had endured hundreds of Chakra Spheres fired by Ryūmyaku, as well as the surrounding land.

“I guess, I went a bit overboard!” muttered Kuroto with a chuckle. Since he was too focused on the state of the Circular-Red-Yang Formation and the flickers in the Fuinjutsu Array, he forgot to pay attention to the surrounding environment.

“Oh well, not that it matters much,” Kuroto mumbled as he put his attention back on the Circular-Red-Yang Formation. After the barrage of hundreds of Chakra Spheres that were as powerful as tailed-beast bombs, there are obvious signs of damage on the barrier. However, these signs are quite minuscule, and overall, the barrier is still standing without showing signs of crumbling. At the same time, these damage signs are gradually disappearing as the barrier restores itself.

Satisfied, Kuroto looked past the Circular-Red-Yang Formation and focused his attention on Ancor Vantian. Although hundreds of cracks appeared on the island as a result of the barrage of explosions, the air fortress was not damaged. There are obvious signs of damage because of the vibrations, but thankfully it’s not too much and completely acceptable considering how many Chakra Spheres Toyotama had shot.

Kuroto is not worried about this level of damage, and he won’t further improve the Circular-Red-Yang Formation to negate this damage as well because if he were to travel this path, it would be endless. There is no such thing as a perfect defense; every type of defense will have some problem. The Circular-Red-Yang Formation is already extremely good, and all he has to do now is deal with those flickers that he has noted down, and that would complete the defensive barrier.

With that in mind, Kuroto deactivated the Circular-Red-Yang Formation, and while he and Karin focused on dealing with all the flicker points, he instructed Gaara, as well as all the puppets and Golems to continue with the construction work, “Let’s complete it as soon as possible!”

Following Kuroto’s order, the puppets immediately regrouped and continued the renovation and upgrading project of the air fortress. Since the most important part of the renovation, the defensive barrier as well as the internal Chakra Flow mechanism has been completed, all that is left is the simple construction part.

As per Kuroto’s plan, after the renovation and upgrade, the size of the flying fortress will be reduced to one-third of its original size. This is not only because Kuroto has removed many useless sections in the fortress but also because the raw materials he is using are of higher quality. As such, they are quite expensive, and not something he would be able to afford for the entire flying fortress. Therefore, it is better to reduce the size of Ancor Vantian.

It did not take long for Kuroto and Karin to deal with the flickering points in the Fuinjutsu Array. After both completed that part, Kuroto instructed Karin to take a rest. Meanwhile, he made his way to the secondary power room of the Ancor Vantian.

Thump-thump!

As soon as he stepped inside the secondary power room, a rhythmic throbbing appeared in his heart. The pair of Tenseigan in his eye sockets started resonating with the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan placed in the Secondary Power Room. This natural resonance between the two Tenseigans is a sign that the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan has accepted Kuroto as its master.

Feeling his eyes resonating with the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan, Kuroto stepped closer to it and gently placed his hand on it. It is a bit strange to say this; however, Kuroto is able to perceive something quite similar to thought waves upon coming in close contact with it.

The state of the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan is not alright. Because it was sealed for hundreds of years, it needed some time to adjust itself. Since Aoki did not give the Giant Tenseigan the time it required and instead asked for more and more chakra out of it, its state became worse.

Of course, this is not to say that the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan cannot supply him with chakra, but Kuroto doesn’t want to take any chakra from it unless it recovers and adjusts itself, which may take some time. “Well, it should be fine. There is still some time until the ritual, and I hope it will adjust itself by then.”
