Chapter 927: There Will Only Be One Opportunity!
BOOM!
Instantly, a massive repulsive force enveloped Killer Bee, and before he could react to this familiar yet unfamiliar force of nature acting on him, he fell to the ground.
Noting how easily ‘Kuroto’ had defeated Killer Bee, all the members of Akatsuki, including ‘Madara,’ looked at him with vigilant expressions.
Bee also raised his head and gazed at ‘Kuroto’ in surprise and disbelief. He never expected that this inconspicuous person, who didn’t even wear the traditional Akatsuki Organization uniform, would turn out to be so powerful and possess abilities similar to Nagato and Yama.
Looking at the collapsed figure of Bee, ‘Kuroto’ spoke coldly, “If there’s anyone you wish to blame, blame yourself.”
Earlier, the reason ‘Kuroto’ had decided to incapacitate Killer Bee so decisively was not only because he prioritized Naruto, but also because Bee’s chances of escaping were slim to none. Zetsu had spread countless clones and spores around Akatsuki’s base, making it impossible for Bee to escape without being detected. The information would quickly reach ‘Madara,’ who would use Kamui to capture Killer Bee immediately.
Unless it’s something like teleportation or flight, Killer Bee simply has no chance of escape.
“Hopefully… Nagato shows up here… otherwise, everything will be meaningless.” As this thought appeared in his mind, suddenly, something came into the field of vision of his Byakugan. “That is…!”
Whoosh!
With the sound of breaking through the wind, several figures wearing Akatsuki’s Red Cloud cloaks descended from the sky and landed on the ground. The one at the forefront was none other than Nagato, carrying the unconscious figure of Naruto, with Konan and Deva Path following behind.Seeing Nagato’s sudden arrival, ‘Kuroto’ was taken aback and breathed a sigh of relief. He hadn’t blown his cover to help Killer Bee escape. If he had, not only would Nagato have prevented Killer Bee’s escape, but he would also have grown vigilant against ‘Kuroto’ and watched over Naruto, making it impossible for ‘Kuroto’ to recover Naruto.
While ‘Kuroto’ was relieved, Nagato coldly glanced at Killer Bee as he raised his hands, causing dozens of wooden stakes to appear from the ground, entangling and pinning Bee. Bound by layers of wooden stakes that continuously absorbed his chakra and grew stronger, Killer Bee struggled. “Damn you people!” However, the wooden stakes didn’t budge.
“You’re annoying. Stay quiet!” said Nagato as he closed his hand. Immediately, one of the wooden stakes coiled around Killer Bee’s neck and mouth, rendering him unable to speak or make any sound.
Seeing how easily Nagato captured the Jinchuriki of the Eight-Tails, ‘Kuroto’ couldn’t help but chuckle helplessly. ‘Yeah, he hasn’t grown any weaker.’
Compared to their previous encounter outside Konoha, where Nagato had exhausted all his strength to stop the meteorite, the current Nagato seemed to have better assimilated the Hashirama Cells, and Wood Release had become as easy as breathing for him.
‘Unlike Shisui, Shinichi, and Itachi, who are continuously struggling to master Wood Release, he is learning and adapting to it at an unimaginable speed…’
Theoretically, once Hashirama Cells are implanted in someone’s body, they gain the ability to use the Wood Release Kekkei Genkai. However, having the ability to use Wood Release doesn’t mean that one can become proficient in it and reach the level of the God of Shinobi, Senju Hashirama.
Tenzō, Obito, Shisui, Shinichi, and Itachi… all have been implanted with Hashirama Cells, and all of them can potentially use Wood Release. But unlike Senju Hashirama, none of them have been able to unlock the full potential of Wood Release.
Even in the canon storyline, the only person who truly showcased the full potential of Wood Release other than Senju Hashirama was Uchiha Madara. However, that man is extraordinary and cannot be taken into account for comparisons or measurements.
Kuroto wishes to better understand Wood Release; however, the available information is extremely limited.
Another concern for ‘Kuroto’ is Nagato’s potential. “I don’t know what he will learn next. Hopefully, he remains quiet for a while longer and doesn’t engage in anything too rash, like the previous Konoha Collapse Plan. Otherwise, I will be in big trouble.”
While ‘Kuroto’ was worrying, ‘Madara’ nonchalantly walked over to Nagato. After seeing that Nagato was only carrying Naruto, he questioned with doubt, “You captured only the Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails? What about the Jinchuriki of the Seven Tails?”
Nagato shrugged. “Hatake Kakashi of Konohagakure had left an imprint of Flying Raijin on both the Jinchuriki… and the Jinchuriki of the Seven-Tails was retrieved by him.”
“Hatake Kakashi, huh?” mumbled ‘Madara.’ No one knew what ‘Madara’ was thinking.
After a moment of silence, ‘Madara’ questioned curiously, “And what did you do to prevent Hatake Kakashi from coming for this guy?”
Nagato answered, “I just used Fuinjutsu to disturb the connection, so he shouldn’t appear here. I am going to check it later and completely remove the Flying Raijin Mark from him.”
‘Madara’ nodded, “Yes, do that. If we were to directly seal the Nine-Tails inside the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, the Fuinjutsu you applied will likely break, and that will give Hatake Kakashi…”
Nagato nodded, “I know.”
Hearing their discussion, ‘Kuroto’ walked over and, while pointing at Naruto, who was being held by Nagato, said casually, “If you want, I can remove the Flying Raijin mark from his body immediately. This kind of thing is too easy for me. How about it? Want my help?”
“You can remove it?” mumbled Nagato in surprise. Initially, he wanted to refuse. However, after a moment of consideration, he nodded. “Very well.” He then threw Naruto to the ground. “Remove it.”
It’s not that Nagato wanted to owe a favor to ‘Kuroto.’ Rather, he wanted to see what powers ‘Kuroto’ had aside from being able to use Shinra Tensei and Banshō Ten’in.
Madara also looked at ‘Kuroto’ curiously.
As ‘Kuroto’ crouched down next to the unconscious Naruto, he used the three-sixty-degree vision of the Byakugan to mark everyone’s positions, including Killer Bee’s. He thought to himself, ‘Kakashi, there will be only one chance… do not let it go to waste, no matter what!’
…
At the same time, inside the Plane of Consciousness of Uzumaki Naruto, while Uzumaki Naruto may have been unconscious, three people were watching everything unfold with different expressions.
One of the three people is an extremely large Tsundere fox with nine tails, Kurama. If it were said that Kuroto wasn’t nervous about the current situation, it would be a lie. He is aware of the events happening in the Shinobi World, at least to some extent, and has heard about Nagato, the one with the Rinnegan of the Six Paths, and ‘Madara,’ the person Kurama hates the most.
However, there is little to nothing he can do at this moment other than growl at the other two people who are also present in the Plane of Consciousness of Uzumaki Naruto. “Minato… Kushina… there is still time. If you remove the seal and let me out, your son might be able to survive. But otherwise, he doesn’t stand a chance!”
That’s right, Kurama is speaking to none other than the Yondaime Hokage, Namikaze Minato, and Uzumaki Kushina.
Hearing Nine-Tails’ warning, tic marks appeared on Uzumaki Kushina’s forehead as she shouted at him, “Our son will survive, no matter what!”
Although Kushina said so, she didn’t have much confidence and stared at her husband, hoping that he would figure out a way for their son.
“Ahahaha…” Minato laughed nervously, then said, “Let’s wait and watch a little more. If this person manages to remove the Flying Raijin Mark from Naruto’s body, then the best option will be to remove the seal of the Nine-Tails.”
Kushina sighed. “It seems there is no other option, huh?”
Minato held his wife’s shoulder and reassured her with a sunny smile. “Don’t worry. I have a feeling that we won’t have to resort to that. Things will work out one way or the other. Just have trust in Kakashi and the others. I am sure there are people doing everything they can to rescue our son.”
“If you say so,” nodded Kushina. Truth be told, she didn’t have much hope.
