“Well, why are you so quiet…? At least say something…” said Tsunade-hime wondering why Kuroto was silent.

It had been a while since the Hashirama Cell Implantation Operation began for Tsunade-hime and throughout the operation, Kuroto had remained unusually silent. His silence was not because of tension and worry whether the operation would go perfectly as it needs to go for it to succeed so that Tsunade-hime can survive and awaken Wood Release… no, that’s not the cause of his silence, rather, it’s the shock that made him quiet.

Kuroto was so shocked upon witnessing the entire process of Hashirama Cells implantation in Tsunade-hime that he lost all the words out of his mouth. It was an outcome like never before, it was a process like never before… those few minutes that Tsunade-hime experienced as her grandfather’s cells were injected into her body before the fusion fluid had settled down into her body were something Kuroto had least expected.

Still unable to believe that something like that really happened, Kuroto couldn’t help but say, and his tone was somewhat forceful, “Something like this… it wasn’t supposed to happen!”

“What wasn’t supposed to happen?” asked Tsunade-hime with a confused expression.

For one, she didn’t understand the reason behind Kuroto’s unusual silence, second, his behavior wasn’t making any sense to her, and third, she was getting tired of waiting, and said, “Come on boy… how long are you going to make me wait…” she stared at the injector resting on one of the side tables, and added urging him, “Just put that thing inside me…”

Unsurprised by Tsunade-hime’s words, Kuroto smiled to himself unsure what he was thinking, and said, “As I suspected… You didn’t really feel anything, right?”

In response to Tsunade-hime’s question, Kuroto took out an empty injector from his pocket and showed it to her, “See this… it’s already empty… Shodaime Hokage-sama’s cells… I have already implanted them into your body…” pausing here, he put down the injector, then continued in an incredulous tone of voice, “And they have successfully fused with your body…” and added in an unexpectedly low voice, “Without any signs of rejection…”

“Huh?” Tsunade-hime was takenaback by Kuroto’s words, and asked doubtfully, “When did you inject Shodaime Hokage’s cells?”

“When you were moaning and quivering because of the intensive heat generated by the Fusion Fluid I had injected into your body… Before the Fusion Fluid had completely settled down, I had already injected the Shodaime Hokage-sama’s cells into your body, you didn’t notice the process of injection because your mind may have been unfocused at that time… but the fact of the matter is, your grandfather’s cells are already in your body, and what’s more, they have successfully fused with your body without showing any signs of rejection which is completely beyond my expectations…” explained Kuroto.

It is a well-known fact that Hashirama Cells are like cancerous cells. The moment Hashirama Cells are injected into someone’s body they simply start devouring the host’s body eventually turning the body into a tree. It takes a great amount of effort to suppress the Hashirama Cells and initiate fusion.

If the Yin Chakra is not used to counterbalance the rise in Yang Chakra because of the implantation of Hashirama Cells, it leads to the body being turned into a tree. Whether it was Shisui, Shinichi, or Itachi, all of them went through great difficulty during the Implantation Operation, but Tsunade-hime… Tsunade-hime didn’t go through any difficulty at all!

When Kuroto had injected Hashirama Cells into her body, he had expected her body to immediately reject the Hashirama Cells, and he had prepared a lot of countermeasures to that rejection such that the implantation operation succeeded even in the absence of Sharingan of the Uchiha Clan, but turns out that all the countermeasures he had prepared were unnecessary as Tsunade-hime’s body did not show any rejection to Hashirama Cells, nor did the Hashirama Cells try to take over her body, thus turning her into a tree… instead, everything went very smoothly and her body accepted Hashirama Cells as if those cells were naturally part of her body, and this didn’t make sense to Kuroto at all.

Being a descendant of both Senju and Uzumaki, Tsunade-hime should already have the genetic traits of both the Clan. Even if some traits became recessive and weren’t expressed, they should be hidden within her genes.

Ōtsutsuki Asura was the ancestor of both the Senju and Uzumaki Clan which means his genetics were divided into the Senju and the Uzumaki. In the form of Tsunade-hime, the genetic traits of the Senju Clan and the Uzumaki Clan have reunited, of course, these traits weren’t expressed… but… it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Tsunade-hime’s body is genetically closest to Asura… it’s just that she isn’t the reincarnation of Asura, so she doesn’t have Asura’s Chakra… but with the implantation of Hashirama Cells, remnants of Asura’s Chakra that must have fused with her body blending in perfectly with her, bringing her closer to Asura genetically, just like Nagato who has gone through the Hashirama Cell Implantation.
