Chapter 2529: Rematch

Bloody Chariot looked at Naka in surprise.

"Do you really think you are the first Peak stage cultivator I took on? You are a number on a really long list my friend.

And every one of them always said the same thing after they lost..."

"Ask for a rematch." Bloody Chariot finished his words.

He knew exactly why they would ask that. The same reason he was about to ask him for the rematch. In a way, Naka is indirectly telling him to not hold much hope. But for some reason, he had a feeling that he could actually pull it off.

He already had a plan.

"Can we fight now?"

"That’s quicker than I thought. You must have figured me out.... How about tonight? I will give you a couple of more hours to recover."

"Alright."

Naka left after that small conversation.

He still had a carefree smile as if he didn’t think much about Bloody Chariot’s challenge.

...

A few hours later.

Bloody Chariot is back in the training ground and this time, there were no spectators. Only Yudhi was there and even he looked like he knew the answer to what’s about to happen.

Bloody Chariot made the first move.

He didn’t close in and instead threw a punch. The energy manifested out of his fist and slammed on to Naka. Who stood there with a smile.

The fist that was manifested purely with energy stopped moving and so did Bloody chariot. He looked at Naka in shock. While Naka just stood there with his hand extended. The fist stopped right there as if it was under his command.

"You have to try harder. I thought you actually figured me out."

Bloody Chariot grew increasingly frustrated. His calm mind was rumbling with turmoil and he made one move after the other. But all the manifested attacks just stopped right before they could make contact with Naka.

Usually, when someone blocks his attacks, it would explode and disperse. Or if someone takes it, it will disperse nonetheless. But now... Naka just made them stay in their form. And he can feel it, their energy, strength, force and their ability to create damage, everything was left intact.

Its as if Naka caught the attacks and stored them in his pocket.

"Use your best move... otherwise, you won’t get the chance."

Bloody Chariot frowned. He halted his attacks and looked at Naka, trying to observe what actually made Naka this strong.

No... Naka isn’t technically that strong.

Bloody Chariot always trusted his instincts and his instincts are telling him that Naka is not strong to be a threat.

But at the same time, Naka had the perfect opportunity to actually kill him a few hours ago and it all happened so fast... this contradiction is killing him. And he believed the way Naka is handling the energy is the reason for this contradiction.

He needed to figure a way out. But he didn’t have any.

He gritted his teeth and decided that he might as well go all out.

If he can’t bypass the trick, might as well brute force it.

A bloody lance appeared in his hands and he threw it straight at Naka.

The energy manifested attacks are still hovering there and the lance with its immense force, pierced through them, making them unstable.

The explosive impact, sent the shockwaves throughout the training ground. The ground cracked all over and even the trees nearby were destroyed.

Finally Bloody Chariot saw some light... Naka was sent flying from the impact. But he wasn’t injured.

Naka just tumbled a bit and he regained his balance, levitating.

"We are using weapons? You should have said so."

Two short swords appeared in Naka’s hands. Bloody Chariot conjured another lance, at the same time, the chariot appeared under his feet. He charged with a speed that was almost equivalent to his peak condition.

If a normal person, or even any other person of lesser cultivation than Divine plane consummation late stage, saw the training ground during the fight... the would think there was weird phenomenon happening there.

Because bloody chariot was moving that fast that even Naka could barely keep up. And still Naka held that such a defensive upper hand. Meeting the incoming spear attacks, were the sword rays from his two short swords.

Those attacks looked normal, but made Bloody Chariot wary. They appeared like they were just normal sword rays cutting the energy manifested spears. But, Bloody Chariot was able to see it with his keen senses.

Whenever the sword ray met the energy spears... a part of the spear collapsed, making it disperse. As if the energy binding together to create that spear suddenly refused to keep that bond.

This made him even more curious about Naka’s strength and ability.

But of course, he couldn’t spare too much of mind about these thoughts. He had to be focused. Because even though it felt like he had the upper hand, Naka hadn’t really even moved much. His defense was impeccable.

And he looked completely relaxed about being in that defensive position.

Bloody Chariot of course didn’t dare close the distance. So, he kept on attacking with spear throws and swings. Every attack is manifested with divine energy and each attack could have killed an ordinary planet.

But here, Naka just played around with them.

The battle went on for fifteen minutes with no clear advantage. Naka was still defensive and Bloody Chariot kept swinging. Both of the are far from being exhausted, but Bloody Chariot did feel the strain more.

He hadn’t fully recovered after all.

He was panting and could feel the pressure on his core. Noticing this, Naka smiled.

"Alright, if it goes on any longer, your condition will worsen."

Naka said and for the first time, he charged forward. He kicked the air gently, it was such a slow motion that Bloody Chariot thought Naka was barely taking a step forward...

But...

*FLASH*

Naka appeared right in front of Bloody Chariot. He actually closed the distance and Bloody Chariot didn’t even see or sense the arrival.

"You lost."

Bloody Chariot lost his vision again.
