Chapter 542: First Class
Chapter 542: First Class
“His combat power…it’s 9999…”
“The fuck are you joking about? What is his real combat power?”
“It’s 134,480.”
“What the fuck?”
Suddenly, a person arrived there high in the sky, not too far from Almond.
“You really made a good mess here, haha.”
Snap!
The students saw who it was, and they screamed.
“It’s pProfessorJohn Wicked!”
“It’s really him!”
“I want to join his class, but I heard he only takes in exceptional students?”
Almond looked at him, but his attention was attracted by a strange wave that John released.
All the destruction and the crumbled palace acted like they were reversing. In just a second, everything was fixed, except for the tree stadium made by Ceilina, since there was no need for the arena anymore.
“Well then, students. Enjoy and work hard.”
John Wicked said before he vanished.
Vier opened his eyes as John also completely healed him.
Looking at Almond, he wryly smiled. “Well, you’ve got some powerful build. I did feel something was wrong at first, but I blocked you. Was that you severing my strength and power?”
Almond faintly smiled. “Indeed. I couldn’t sever it at first, but I could eventually do it. Especially after weakening your subconscious will, and I do that by displaying utter dominance in battle, rendering your attacks useless, making them seem like they can’t even bend my hair.”
“Well, they indeed can’t, so that’s the truth,” Almond added with a grin.
“It looks like this year, before graduation, will be fun.” Vier grinned.
…
In the blink of an eye, it was time for their first class.
Students were placed into classes based on their potential and combat power.
All Regalons in the academy, as well as Vier and his gang, alongside a few other students, were under John Wicked.
All of them arrived in a strange dimension where everyone sat on chairs that floated on the surface of water.
Black, transparent water with stars within it. On the other hand, the sky was filled with chaotically braided vines with flowers and plants, with many of them growing a mystical bulb of the same color, giving the same light. They replaced the sun, providing light in this dimension.
The chairs wobbled and flowed alongside water, but they didn’t fall.
The students sat on the chairs, waiting for the teacher to arrive.
And it wasn’t long before John Wicked appeared, not alone, but on top of a giant furry black wolf who had a cloudly white mystical sash around its neck and limbs, with an eccentric golden symbol on its forehead.
“Welcome to your first class. Your journey will be completely different than the rest of the students.” John Wicked smiled as he got off the wolf, while the wolf shrank enough to curl and sleep on his shoulder with its tail resting around his neck.
“Now, you might ask why it will be different,” John said and waved his hand.
A large misty screen appeared above.
The screen had a thick line in the middle.
The left part had countless stars and was a lively, breathing world in macro view. The right side was all black with a big question mark.
“The left side of this screen is everything. All six Tier-0 cosmoverse, and all the rest of the cosmoverses are on the left side.”
John Wicked smiled. “The whole reality is on the left side.”
“So what is on the right side? Does anyone know?” John Wicked asked.
Almond and others knew, roughly, and that was because John told them about it.
“Of course, you don’t.” John chuckled. “If the whole of reality, where the basis of our existence is birthed and meaning extracted by our effort, is on the left side…then what is on the right side?”
John Wicked’s eyes flashed. “People were curious. Strong people like Grimlords who had discovered that right side. And so, they went there.”
“Anybody want to guess what happened after they went there?”
One of the demons in Vier’s gang raised his hand and said, “They died?”
Another student spoke up. “But they were strongest, and aren’t Grimlords essentially immortal since their conciousness, their will, can never die, and only transform?”
John smiled. “Indeed. On the left side, the beings who reach the very peak of the realm, like Grimlords, do not die. They may lose battles, their worlds, their families, but their powers, conciousness, and their will cannot be erased by anyone. This is the law of not just this, but all six Tier-0 Cosmoverses.”
“But…” John Wicked blinked. “They die on the right side.”
The students were surprised.
“I knew it.” The demon smirked.
John chuckled. “Well, we have a big problem now. The first group that discovered that place and went there never returned. No news from back, no nothing. So others tried sending puppets, manifestations of their powers to scout, and so on, but anything that goes past that line and enters the right side completely loses contact with the left side.”
“And people were bored.” John chuckled. “After all, what do you do after becoming the strongest? Millions of years idling, mindless battles, and no winner. The peak powerhouses were bored to death.”
“The first group that went was the strongest of all. Yet they never returned. This put fear in many. But their boredom and curiosity surpassed the fear, so more went inside eventually.”
“And they also didn’t return.”
John Wicked smiled.
“Years passed like seconds, and yet the strongest of people never stopped to explore it. Boredom becomes so overwhelming in the long run that the effort and work they did to reach the very peak they stood at start to seem meaningless.”
“As strong people went again, and again, again…something happened.”
John’s eyes narrowed, his smile devilish. “The other side…transformed.”
The students listened with curiosity.
“It transformed when a certain batch of powerhouses went inside, according to these powerhouses. They were able to return to their respective cosmoverses…but with one big change.”
John Wicked’s smile turned into a grin. “They were no longer as strong as they were. They were no longer immortal. Their powers had changed drastically.”
“The other side turned out to be a strange reality of its own…like someone or something molded it because people started going there.” John Wicked smiled. “Do you know what that means?”
“If Tier-0 cosmoverses can nurture beings of Grimlord level, and these beings become helpless when going there, it means the reality we live in is constructed by someone or something.”
“The vast, infinite reality we live in is not everything. In fact, it is nothing compared to this side, which forcefully overwrote their whole access to the powers that we comprehended and acquired here. They were forced to walk a strange path of power. Imagine what the peak powerhouses felt when they found this.”
The students gulped.
“But they still walked that path, and they are still there, trying to uncover the mystery of that other side by walking its path. Some people there are stronger than Grimlords and other similar rank powerhouses from other cosmoverses.”
“However, that world is not easy. It is demanding. It gives peace only at a price. And to pay this price, you have to work hard, or die trying.”
“And you all…” John smiled. “You will be entering that other side if you can graduate within one year. Only those at the Grim Adventurer position and higher can pass the boundary without getting erased, and only exceptional ones can survive and rise there.”
“And I am here to help you graduate within one year.”
