Chapter 277 Meliora the Elixir of Chaos, Answers
“So how long until we reach there?” Almond asked.
“I think one hour or maybe two left,” Zek answered with uncertainty.
“One hour and twenty minutes maximum,” the girl spoke without turning her head.
“I see,” Almond nodded and leaned back on the couch as he closed his eyes. “Well, I’d like to get comfortable and rest a bit in the meantime, so excuse me.”
“Sure,” Zek chuckled. “I was about to practice my Prana Art anyway.”
‘I’ll find out about that later in the academy,’ Almond told himself and stopped himself from asking Zek about it.
For now, he focused on new changes after his soul awakened.
He could see something unlocking within him, and his consciousness reached there as he focused on that.
It was a sea of utter darkness, but there was a small pond with glistering water in the middle of this expanse. And above that pond was a miniature figure looking exactly like him, sitting cross-legged, eyes closed.
Almond exerted his control, and the water moved, flowing out of the pond and moving around with his thoughts.
‘This strange energy must be related to my soul. That new status showed 10 beside Soul Sea, so this is something I can increase, which means this is something I can use. For what?’ Almond thought. ‘I guess I’ll find out at the academy.’
‘Now, let’s finish up the new spirit wraith. Its core is Fallen Druid Melameron, as his spirit was strongest, so this wraith will be geared towards alchemy and druid-based power more. The additional spirits I added had a variety of powers, and the spirit of that assassin criminal who had poison and dark-related power, so…’
Almond fell into thought and five minutes later, he decided everything.
[Name: Meliora the Elixir of Chaos]
[Disposition: Mad Scientist]
[Backstory: She was a kind and aspiring alchemist who longed to become better and help her village. But after going to the capital to learn more, the rich and influential peers who envied her talent in alchemy made her life hell. In the end, to prevent her from participating in the royal competition where her talents could be appreciated, the vile ones harmed her village, forcing her to go back. Upon returning, she found her parents dead, poisoned, and the whole village sick. Descending into madness due to the hellish year she experienced that ended with the death of her loved ones, Meliora’s talents bloomed. Going unorthodox, she not only created potions that could heal and help but also spread chaos. She became the alchemist of doom on the path to vengeance, and all that came her way to stop her became just another ingredient for her potions of chaos.]
‘Yep, looks good.’
Almond wasn’t about to summon her here, but the spirit wraith was completed as he transported her from Spirit Kodoku into the Spirit Wraith’s pocket.
‘Now, what do I do to spend the remaining hour?’ Almond thought, and suddenly, a strange jolt shook him and images began flashing in his mind.
‘T-This…’ Almond was shocked.
He was getting his memories back!
All of it, until he reached the 30th Floor and the world ended!
He had already gotten more than half of his memories after he cleared the 6th floor, but now, all of it was coming at once.
Almond rubbed his temples as the influx of information subsided and he felt serene after ten minutes.
‘It seems that whatever that mysterious figure did just got undone. It must be because my soul awakened, which broke whatever she did and unlocked all my memories at once.’
Almond opened his eyes and was once again surprised.
He could now feel and see Prana very clearly!
Almond grabbed it with his hand and infused it. In that moment, his flesh, and his cells energized, giving it a boost.
He tried to transmute it into his golden haze lightning, and it also worked.
‘My control of it is not as good as Mana, but this Prana is significantly more powerful. Well, that’s expected since Mana is just an offshoot of Prana.’
Almond then tried to absorb it in his body. ‘That new status had Prana Sea and its value was zero. It must be like Mana Pool.’
Almond tried to find Prana Sea, but he couldn’t find it. It wasn’t like his soul sea and it also wasn’t in his Source Space where his Mana pool was located.
The Prana he absorbed into his source space also dispersed automatically, unable to be contained.
‘Zek mentioned Prana Art, so it could be that absorbing Prana in the Prana Sea must be related to Prana Art.’
Almond stopped playing with Prana and focused on a different topic—his arsenal of items and chances of power-ups.
‘Now, let’s see what I have left and what I need to do eventually.’
‘The first thing is creating three more skills for my specialized class. I have to finish them.’
‘Second, I have two normal skill upgrade cards, and one universal skill upgrade card left. That reminded me since I can only use normal skill upgrade cards on classless skills, what if I use it on my Legendary skill Sword of Imperishable Zenith?’
Almond took out the skill upgrade card and infused Mana, but suddenly, the Prana in the atmosphere attacked it and scattered it away.
‘What the fuck?’ Almond was dumbfounded. ‘Fuck me.’
“What was that?” the girl turned to Almond. “Was it from Grimworld’s Tutorial?”
Almond blinked, surprised. “How do you know?”
“I’ve seen that phenomenon before. Anyway, just take note that the rewards you got from Grimworld’s Tutorial that can help you power up by skipping conventional training will vanish if you take them out here. They can only work and exist on the first layer.”
“I see…” Almond dryly smiled. ‘Damn, a skill upgrade card just got deleted.’
The girl turned away after speaking her piece, indicating that she desired no further conversation.
Almond focused back on his task.
‘Alright, putting aside skill upgrade cards, I guess I also can’t take out that remaining Advance Skill Scroll I have, right? I wanted to learn that Chrono Pulse of Radiant Heart skill…’ Almond sighed.
He had fifteen days in the academy he knew nothing about, and from the words of Zek and Madam Ruby, it was dangerous, so he wanted some new skills.
‘Maybe the Advanced skill scroll can be taken out? After all, it’s not a direct power-up that can skip training, but we have to learn it in a dimension…’
“Um, do you know about skill scrolls? I have an Advanced Skill scroll that can be used to send one’s mind into another dimension where we have to finish training stages to learn a skill. I suppose I can take it out, right?” Almond asked.
He glanced at Zek, but it appeared that he was too focused on his Prana Art and had shut himself in meditation as Prana gently whirled around him and went into his body slowly.

On the other hand, the girl turned to Almond upon hearing his question and shook her head, “I don’t know. I’d say it won’t vanish given the description you gave, but I am not sure. However, you can ask this question in the academy, and you will get a confident answer. The academy has a feature, which you will come to know once you get there. Using that feature, you can get answers to any questions.”
After saying that, she turned back to watch outside.
“I see, thanks.”
Almond then checked out other things, and among them was Broken Myth Bead.
‘I forgot to inspect this…Hmm, but now I can see the status of these two with my All-Seeing Eyes. Should I hack Zek’s Perception to boost mine, and inspect it?’
‘Nah, screw it. What if it gets deleted too? I better wait till I get to the academy since it seems I’d be able to get all answers there.’
