Chapter 1911: Guess Who I Saw?

Chapter 1911: Chapter 1911: Guess Who I Saw?

“I’ll go pick some more; you stay here and keep watch, okay?”

With that, she turned and went back into the Medicinal Garden, now beginning to collect the herbs on a much larger scale.

In the Great Elder’s courtyard.

The Second Elder rushed over, and as soon as he arrived, he had all the disciples in the courtyard retreat to the outside to stand guard. Without his permission, no one was allowed to enter—not the Valley Master or Young Valley Master, nor any other elders.

Although the disciples found it strange, the order was from the Second Elder, and moreover, the Second Elder had a deep personal friendship with their Great Elder.

They all obeyed the order and went outside to stand guard.

“Old Second, what’s wrong? Has something happened?”

The Great Elder, seeing him in this state, thought he might have been snubbed again by the Valley Master and asked with some displeasure on his face.

“Has the Valley Master caused some trouble again?”

Lately, the Valley Master was inexplicably irritable, and moreover, he acted completely self-centeredly, disregarding the life and death of the disciples in the valley.

Although he couldn’t openly criticize the Valley Master, he honestly felt tired.

He couldn’t persuade him—what could he do?

“I didn’t go to the Valley Master,” the Second Elder pursed his lips.

At a time like this, who would go to the Valley Master and ask for trouble? If he had time, wouldn’t he rather gather some herbs and research how to cure the poison afflicting him?

“I went to gather herbs just now. Guess whom I ran into?” he asked the Great Elder.

“Who?”

The Great Elder asked dispassionately.

He truly had no interest in guessing the Second Elder’s thoughts or knowing whom he had encountered.

In their Poison Valley’s Medicinal Garden, whom could one possibly encounter? At most, it was merely a few of them, or perhaps some other elders also trying to research a cure for the poison they had contracted?

“Which elders also took action?” he inquired.

Choosing now to act and gather herbs in the Medicinal Garden meant they still had hope; they realized they could no longer rely on the Valley Master.

But hearing his question, the Second Elder almost rolled his eyes.

“Are you counting on them?”

Every one of them was waiting for the Valley Master to go to Medical Valley and implore the High Priest Demon Heart for a remedy. They never considered whether they could develop the antidote themselves.

“Indeed, I’m not counting on them.”

The Great Elder also felt somewhat helpless, sat down in a chair, and let out a light sigh.

When Poison Valley was at its peak, everyone followed the Valley Master’s orders and was very united; but in such a powerless situation of self-preservation, it was nothing but a mess.

“Then whom did you run into? Which disciple?”

If it was just some disciples, the Second Elder would not have come to him with such interest—could it be that a disciple had developed the antidote?

He ruefully took a breath, knowing full well that was impossible.

“Forget it, I won’t tease you anymore.”

The Second Elder knew that the Great Elder would never guess, and stopped toying with him.

“I saw those two,” he said.

“Those two?”

The Great Elder furrowed his brows, a bit puzzled.

But the next moment, he caught on, understanding who the Second Elder meant by “those two.” His eyes suddenly lit up.

“You saw those two distinguished individuals from Medical Valley? In the Medicinal Garden?”

How could those two noble persons appear in the Poison Valley’s Medicinal Garden? Could they have come to steal… no, to collect the herbs?

“Are they still there? Quick, let’s go back one more time; this time we must obtain the antidote.”

“No need, there’s no use,”

The Second Elder, seeing the Great Elder grab his arm, about to drag him out, quickly held him back.
