Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 908: The Apocalypse (12)

Chapter 908: The Apocalypse (12)

“No!”

A Spirit Emperor shouted just as Yi Lai unleashed the sword attack.

A brilliant light burst from the strike, slamming into the red door with a powerful boom.

The door shuddered, and then the red light inside suddenly turned dark and shifted to green the next second…

Hundreds of forsaken warriors passing through the door froze when the attack landed. Then, in a quick flash, their bodies disintegrated into puddles of blood that flew toward Sylara.

“What have you done?” The Spirit Emperor, who shouted, charged toward Yi Lai with the intent to cut her head off her body.

However, before she could get close, a massive and deadly flaming hammer came out of nowhere and slammed into the forsaken warrior’s body, sending her crashing down.

“Thank you for the assist, Elyndra.” Aetheris, the Flame Giant, appeared, standing twelve feet tall. He had suppressed his height to twelve feet, allowing him to wield his war hammer with a handle fourteen feet long.

Aetheris didn’t even turn to the Spirit Emperor, who was sent crashing by his colossal and deadly hammer. He knew there was no coming back from that, so he turned to the next Spirit Emperor with an evil grin on his cracked and molten lava face.

“What a refreshing battle,” Aetheris muttered, moving like a living mountain. In the next second, his hammer came down hard, turning many Spirit Emperors and those below to meat paste.

“Kaizo, we have thirty minutes before the seal loses its power. Afterward, I can’t seal it again.” Yi Lai flew toward Kaizo, but before she could get any closer, a spear came from an unknown direction.

She twisted mid-air and swung her sword backward, meeting the attack. Her body was pushed back several steps in the air. However, she merely snorted when her eyes landed on the forsaken warrior who attacked her.

“He is all yours, Nethar.”

Before the Peak Spirit Emperor could make another move, a red dragon appeared through the void and swallowed him.

“Punk,” Yi Lai muttered before turning back to Kaizo. “I will be leaving now to recover.”

“You can go, Yi Lai. We will manage now that you’ve bought us some time,” Kaizo replied. With no immediate danger around her, she was able to enter the tower.

The sword technique that she had used was too damaging to her body, so she needed to recover. Thankfully, Vexthra possesses the ability to heal her and the others much faster while inside the tower.

After all, an hour on the battlefield was a day inside the tower, and with Vexthra’s help, she would be away for only a few minutes.

But with her work accomplished, Kaizo’s plan—discussed with his team before the battle—entered phase two.

“Lani, time for you to remove some tattoos.”

When Lani heard Kaizo’s words, she came to a stop. Vari, who was in the same location as her, also stopped and turned to Lani.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be around to make sure you don’t go too far.”

Lani nodded and sighed.

Then she activated the forbidden skill she had recently unlocked.

Back when they were training with the Foxkin warriors in Fedora, she had gained an enlightenment that had something to do with the hundreds of millions of names tattooed on her body.

These tattoos appeared when Kent invoked her True Name. She had been trying to understand what they meant for months now, but she made no progress until the enlightenment a few weeks ago.

It turned out the names tattooed on her body were people she had unjustly killed in her previous life. These people didn’t deserve to die, but they fell to her dagger.

So even though she did something good in the end—which earned her a True Name—karma followed her into this new life.

Now, the millions of tattoos on her body were restrictions limiting her potential.

Her true potential, which she hadn’t realised just yet, was bound by every last tattoo on her body.

Of course, while that wasn’t too bad, considering she was now a powerhouse in her own right, these restrictions would soon begin revealing themselves as her cultivation base continued to increase.

However, this karma did not follow her into her new life without a way to break free.

The enlightenment revealed that for every bad person she killed, a tattoo would vanish, and she would regain a piece of her potential.

However, in order to do that, she had to enter a strange, frenzied state where her strength would increase tenfold.

Aside from the increase, every kill would reward her with a bloodlust that, if she had more than enough, she might lose control over.

So while gaining a 1000% boost in strength, which would allow her to kill like the Angel of Death, Lani didn’t want to lose control; thus, she was hesitant to activate it.

But she couldn’t hesitate now—not when her sisters and friends were being injured with every passing second.

Lani sighed again and activated the skill, ’Dance of the Endless Night.’

Her hair shortened, and her body became surrounded by shadows, raising her aura to an all-time high. The scythe in her hand elongated, and the sharp end of the blade was now coated by a deadly, deep red energy.

Tattoos appeared on every part of her body, some even appearing within her eyes.

“Time to pay for my sins.”

With that, she moved, and what followed was a massacre so brutal that even Neomi, the Mother of Killers, raised her brow.

“It is not your turn, Neomi, so focus on delivering justice as Rakshasa,” Kaizo said. Despite being surrounded by four Spirit Emperors, he was still paying attention to everyone on the battlefield.

Neomi smiled and continued to kill, something she was born to do.

On the other side of the door, the moment Yi Lai’s attack struck, the ten Heaven Ascension Stage warriors sensed the danger, forcing them to rush toward the gateway leading to Sonox.

However, they were a step too late.

By the time they arrived at the door, it had turned from red to green, sealing itself.

One of them formed a seal and pointed it at the door. A yellow gas flew from his finger, and when it landed on the door, he frowned.

“It has been sealed from the other side. However, it will open in half an hour.”

“What? But how were they able to do something like that? Aren’t they merely Medium World nobodies? Or did Amix lie to us?”

“She didn’t lie. However, if she failed to tell us how powerful this world truly is, then it means they hid their strength very well,” Deva, Amix’s supposed mother, who was also the Forsaken Queen, said, an uneasiness washing down her back.

“Right now, 250,000 warriors are dying on the other side of the door. Luckily, most are merely Spirit Ascensions. However, if this world is indeed as dangerous as it seems, the moment the door opens, five of you should lead the rest of the warriors and attack.

The rest of us will stay and welcome the Lord.”

They nodded and began to wait. Deva and four of the Forsaken elders returned to the large building to wait for this mysterious Lord.

“Be ready, everyone. The moment the door is unsealed, we attack.”

Over 200,000 warriors responded in unison.

In the meantime, while the forsaken race was blocked from sending reinforcement, Kaizo’s team was making headway.
